  1. I'm not a huge fan, either - I respect his skills, and he plays hard, but he always seemed to act like the game owed him something in his past seasons. He doesn't appear to have much of a personality. I'd much rather have Malcolm back.
  2. Whoa. You do know this is just a game show, right? Wishing for someone to "suffer some incredible and unspeakable evil" seems a little over the top. It's not like she killed somebody, after all.
  3. Geez, I was a little embarrassed by the Sore Loser exit speech. Didn't seem necessary.
  4. I can relate. I immediately flashed back to Commander Salamander when I heard it. ;-)
  5. At first, I honestly thought he said, "They eat weeds," and I thought, well, that's not so bad after all! hashtagdolt
  6. Mine, too. I actually said to one of my cats before the show started, "They better be telling us something about Martha tonight." So he was very smug when I yelled out "Martha!!" at the TV.
  7. It's actually Cathy and Cindy, and I don't believe we've really seen much about them before. They both refuted Christina's claims of abuse, and as far as I can remember, defended Joan as a wonderful mother. Margo, Bette's disabled daughter, was supported primarily by her husband, Gary Merrill, until he died. He set up a trust fund for her to continue after his death, which I believe was administered by their son Michael.
  8. That's how we always handled it in TWOP, and I was under the impression that the standard was also carried over to PTV.
  9. I don't get it. Why are they always so anxious to save Hannah? For a vote? For a goat? OK, I just realized that was totally Dr. Seussy-ish, but those were the only two reasons I could think of.
  10. For me, it's his voice. I don't know why, but listening to him speak gives me the creeping willies.
  11. Thank you, Survivor Gods. From the bottom of my heart.
  12. Corey is as dumb as a sack of hammers. That's all I got.
  13. THAT was making me crazy. You can practically hear the hairs breaking one by one. Three words, Nicole: WIDE. TOOTHED. COMB.
  14. That's been a big problem for me this season. Every time he says, "Friendship", I get a vision of Maggie and her Nerd Herd curled up on the HOH bed weeping softly and singing "That's What Friends Are For." Blergh.
  15. Probably about as long as it used to take us to get bored with our Barbie Dreamhouse.
  16. ^^I loved this so much that I had to make sure it received a trademark. The T-Waif Thousand™
  17. That's why I never watch previews. Unfortunately, someone spilled it online after the show last week, so I knew what was going to happen from the moment he appeared onscreen. I agree, it would have been much more effective if they had managed to keep it out of the previews. :-(
  18. OH. MAH. GAHD. I'm so, so sick of Paige. The End.
  19. IKR? I don't think I've ever seen these people in short sleeves.
  20. Geez, Stan, way to barge in on someone's private dinner when it's clear that you're not welcome. He's really beginning to get on my nerves. I want to bitch-slap him.
  21. None of those scenes were shown here in the DC area. And I find it interesting that some other folks here did see them, because I just figured that any edits to the show were pretty standard for all U.S. stations. Now I'm really miffed to know that it varies in different regions.
  22. Boy, talk about giant anvils. It was obvious within the first five minutes of seeing Sister E all nicey-nice that they were working up to a weepy death before the hour was over. That said, I'll really miss the old girl. And where the heck is Chummy?
  23. A-MEN. I'm disappointed in the outcome - hell, I was disappointed once Michelle made it to the final five - but, Vecepia. There was never a more undeserving or unlikeable winner in the history of this game. I came very close to giving up on this show after that season.
  24. I notice that the manner of Gaad's death was never specifically mentioned by anyone. Is it possible that it may be perceived as accidental, since he basically fell through the glass door? He doesn't have any other wounds, does he?
  25. Great episode. I actually felt pain for Elizabeth, losing her only friend. I was like, yeah, I'll miss her, too. Still not clear on what she accomplished with the husband, though. Other than potential blackmail, but she'll probably never see him again, right? I remember the somber atmosphere of watching The Day After, and how everyone talked about it for weeks. But I found Testament to be much more emotionally wrenching. Since it concentrated on the survival of a small town fairly far away from any blast site, we saw the gradual breakdown of society - and people's bodies - rather than witnessing any real physical damage. It was so depressing watching the characters face certain death with no defense or recourse at all, just trying to move forward with their lives and to create some sense of routine while everything crumbled around them.
