  1. 4/5 Didn't stand a chance when I misheard/read/translated into brainwaves 1800s Americans instead of 18th century. Rookie mistake. Would I have gotten it right if I had the right category? I didn't know it, but maybe would have guessed it... we'll never know!
  2. Wow, 5/5!! Everything was just in my wheelhouse this week, I guess.
  3. Yes, I was one of those who said Barrymore, too! I got Wiz Khalifa because my trivia team's name is Quiz Khalifa. I knew glitch, it wasn't a guess, but I have no idea how!! I have no memory to go along with the fact. Maybe it's been on Jeopardy before?
  4. I agree. I knew Bottom, but at least he had the right play. As did the other guy saying Prospero instead of Ariel. I guess Alex's kids must not have had one. I'm an 80s kid, and we definitely had one. It was awesome. Ridiculous that what was essentially "the country between China and Russia" was a $1000 clue. Those horses were pretty, though!
  5. 4/5 I came thisclose to being spoiled every day but Friday this week. I am on the West coast on vacation, and kept forgetting that in this time zone, today's game talk starts earlier!!!! It took all week for me to learn.... and I'm going back home to Atlantic time tomorrow.
  6. 4/5 Those Newmans prevented me from getting a perfect week. I never knew Randy was from a famous family.
  7. Tonight, I guessed Frankenstein when the category was revealed! That's always satisfying.
  8. 2/5 Too US-centric me this week - which I guess is fair for an American show. For the jazz one, I immediately started thinking 'Don't Get Around Much Any More' and couldn't move on from that.
  9. My DVR didn't record Jeopardy tonight! Boooo.... I guess I'm glad I'm switching cable providers on Sunday (I'm moving, and I am SO unprepared). I did find FJ on YouTube. I thought of Alex Haley instantly. I've neither read nor seen Roots, and I feel like I should do something about that.
  10. @teebax this may not have been the outcome you were hoping for, but MAJOR props for being the only one to get FJ. That is badass!!!! Plus, you looked great and had an interesting interview.
  11. Me too, it's my favourite category! The worst category is Stupid Answers. I don't remember seeing it recently, so we're probably due, ugh Good for you! That must have been satisfying.
  12. 3/5 Disappointing after 5/5 the last two weeks! Guess I'm back to normal
  13. Wow! 5/5 again!!!! When did I get so smart? This is definitely not my typical work...
  14. You're probably right. I got it by thinking of birds. It helped that my sister and were talking about finches on Sunday - there was a bird she didn't recognize in her backyard.
  15. So.... happy birthday? I keep track of my number of correct answers sometimes. It's fun! Although sometimes depressing. Count me among those who said Siberia.... at first. Then I realized the clue said they moved the clocks forward which would mean it should be somewhere to the west of Moscow, and came up with Crimea just in time
  16. 5/5, woohoo! I barely came up with Jane Fonda in time, phew!
  17. Me too. I thought Laura would have gotten it right if she had thought for a second. She answered too quickly, reacting to the spiral part of the clue, before her brain could process the trumpet part. I never heard of argonaut the animal.
  18. Okay, hear me out: today James was incredibly impressive but.. were the clues a bit on the easy side? I got a personal best - I answered all but one in the Jeopardy round (Wobblies). James totally stole my thunder, haha. Ha! Great point. Ooh, I love the audible gasps, too.
  19. 4/5, no *. I thought I was going to have a perfect week, then along came Arbor Day 😫 I've heard of it, I guess, but I've never lived anywhere that celebrated it.
