4/5, with the asterisk! Friday was a guess that I blurted out so quickly, I wonder if I had the information stuffed in some corner of my brain, and it wasn't a guess at all.

I knew ALL of this week's FJs.... and I got 2 out of 5. I very recently read about the apartheid blacklist, and this album in particular, but just couldn't come up with it on Wednesday. Last night, I guessed the correct answer when Alex revealed the category, but forgot about when it came time to answer. Get your act together, Fex!!

I was especially frustrated that they only had one clue from the royal and noble music category! That sounds fun. As a non-American, non-sportsfan, I am shocked that the New York Yankees was a ts. If I know a sports answer, it is not difficult. All three contestants were guilty of not just saying the whole category, but saying the whole category with lengthy pauses. 🤯

In junior high, we watched a movie adaptation of it. So disturbing! (ETA it was a mashup story, with "The Black Cat" from a tv show or something?) I had no idea for FJ. I was very surprised no one got mogul! Skiing, rich guy... isn't it obvious?

Like you, nothing else occurred to me. I thought it was super obvious, because how many objects travel? Probably lots, and it's one of those times where knowing less Is an advantage 😂

I thought of Sydney Opera House instantly as well, and I definitely never heard of that opera. I think the word librettist combined with the category is what got me there. Alex seemed very excited that the game was not a runaway, and I was too! I like it when there's a real competition.

I felt very smart watching Friday's game, with one exception. I had no idea for the lowest value clue in the trials category. I have never heard of the Sacco Vanzetti trial, and when I looked it up, it wasn't even a familiar story. I got FJ by wildly guessing someone I thought might be on American money. Yay for good guessing!!!

Phew, much better this week! 4/5, two * Friday was a successful wild guess. Love it when that happens!!!

I got FJ, and guessed what the other contestants' wrong answers would be. @Katy M that's hilarious. You definitely get a bonus point from me.

Whew! Between vacation, a family event, hurricane Dorian, and overtime due to Dorian, I have only just caught up with Jeopardy! And for what? 2/5, no * Jk, jk... 2 is perfectly respectable, and I see that asterisk was pretty elusive

Me too!! Should have been a gimme for one of the others. And am I remembering this wrong, or was Dostoevsky a TS, too?!!! (now there's a name that needs a mnemonic for spelling). For Gogol I said "Goo- Gol- Go- something" which I don't think I'd have gotten credit for...

I will accept hot fudge on a sundae. Does Fine? That's so boring! That defeats the purpose of a mnemonic device.

As far as I am concerned, Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge. I don't actually remember what the clue said, instead. Anyway, I have never liked fudge, so had no problem letting boys have it all.

I love Before and After categories, so I really liked this game. I don't know how or why I know that Mozart died in 1791, but FJ was an insta-get for that reason. I didn't even notice that the clue mentioned Vienna until afterwards.

I guessed Gorgon, without really expecting to be right. Woohoo! Nice surprise. The "diva" "prima diva" " prima donna" series of answers was cringeworthy. They must have been mad at themselves afterwards. Alex kind of poked fun at the pronunciation of Ljubljana, but didn't give the correct one. Unless I missed it...?
