4/5
Like many others it seems, just missed Tuesday.
Last week at my pub trivia night, one of the answers was A Walk in the Woods, a movie adaptation of a book about walking the Appalachian trail, which I have even seen! So it was fresh in my mind. Spooky... 😉😂

I once went on a Ghost Walk in Saint John, New Brunswick, and one of the "ghosts" was Loyalist hero Benedict Arnold...

4/5 with an *
Just missed that body of water... it made sense once I heard the answer, but I don't think I would ever have come to it.

Am I the first zero this week? So that’s something, right?
You may have been first, but I'm here to join you 😉 Zero for me, too.

4/5, 1* for Metaverse
My date also knew Metaverse... because of the Neal Stephenson part of the clue?!!! I was impressed.

I just came up with one Nobel Peace Prize winner... not quite enough!
@ams1001 sorry about that migraine. Hope the Coke and ibuprofen, plus some food, do the trick!

2, with 1*. Happily, geography is usually a good category for me!
Pierogies are on the menu this weekend, so I'll bring those to share 😋

At first I said Whirlpool, then thought "wait, there's a more obvious brand for that". Where did I even get the Whirlpool idea from in the first place?!!!! Anyway, fixed it in time 🤣

122. Countries of Africa - At one time a province of the Roman Empire, this kingdom is known to Arabic scholars as Al-Maghrib Al-Aqsa, "the far west"
123*. Medieval Places - One of the participants in an 1170 event at this place said, "Let us away, knights; he will rise no more"
124. American Novelists - He served with an airman named Yohannan in World War II & despite what readers might think, he said he enjoyed his service
125. Movie Theme Songs - Monty Norman, the composer of this character's theme, said the staccato riff conveyed sexiness, mystery & ruthlessness
126. Symbols - In math, it's a rotated V; in society, it's a feeling of some marginalized or underrepresented people
Wow, I am so far behind!!! Again! 4/5, no asterisk, for the clues I've quoted.
I've just watched Monday's episode from last week so far. I'll report in when I get caught up 😁

Week of March 6: 2/5
Well, I'm consistent!!!! The port/state capital clue was one of those that I felt I might have gotten of I was alone, lol 😆 But I think I'd rather have the company. Maybe.
In other news, I turned 41 yesterday, and I'm locking in my position of favourite aunt by getting gourmet donuts for my "birthday cake". So that's what I'm bringing here, too 😋

Barbed wire seemed so obvious in retrospect, and yet... no. Also missed Friday, so the week ended as it began 😂

0/5 this week, although it’s really 0/3 because I got J-blocked on Thursday and Friday. (Yes, he did it again.) Not saying I would have gotten the other two, but… maybe! It’s possible!
This week, I bring some leftover birthday pie. Like Saber, I prefer pies to cakes. New decade, new chance to crush at Jeopardy!
Happy birthday!!! I believe you would have gotten those FJs... bday magic 😁😉

As a non-American, I was very impressed with myself for getting Oregon/Nevada when none of the contestants did. And actually, impressed with everyone who got it, no matter where you're from. It was a hard clue!!

I thought of the right biopic immediately today, wasn't 100% sure, but stuck with it, and it paid off. Phew!!!!!

Pretty good week!!! I was on my way to getting Grace and Frankie, too, but then the music stopped... Still, 3 is a very respectable score.

I'm not good with mythology. I credit doing crossword puzzles for Eos.
I knew because I once looked up why Eosinophils (a type of blood cell) are called that. To simplify, in the standard stain we use in the blood lab, they stain a beautiful pink-orange color, so they are named after the goddess of the dawn!!! This was never explained to me in school or training, but now I always tell new trainees and students. Reactions... vary 😂

I thought the country was probably large, with 58 sites. I chose the good ol USA, figuring we have some volcanoes and surely, there's a lagoon in Hawaii. Boy, was I wrong.
I said the same thing for the same reason 😆 Glad I wasn't alone!

I had company a few times while watching Jeopardy this week, and there were two other days that I should have gotten FJ, but didn't. I'm going to have to get used to it bc I HOPE to continue to have this company... ☺️
Now the other weeks when I got 2/5 (or 1, or 0), it was all me 🤣
