I swear the brunette one just pulls these ridiculous "themes" out of her ass.

Or, worse, she spends many hours deciding on these useless themes.

I'm beginning to reach hate-watch status. They are SO annoying.

Personally, I reached the hate-watch status a while back and deleted them from my DVR. The houses they work on result in the worst flips in HGTV-land.

I swear, "Paint It Black" is her theme song -- it's all I hear in my head every time she says she has a great idea for some fabulous architectural or antique piece (or frankly, just junk she overpaid for at some "vintage" store) that I just know she's going to ruin...

The step into my sunroom is painted dark brown and it's held up well for 7 years now, but it was several coats of heavy duty paint. The only bad thing is that it shows dust big time. Those homeowners are going to curse Alison Victoria every time they have to sweep/dust off those black stairs. Getting dust out of the corners is a bitch and has to be done by hand.

Just watched the Winslow AZ episode.  I don't quite get the art car park.  It's nice to have a place to sit I guess, but kids are going to climb all over those cars and ruin the "art" on them.  The root beer stand still looked pretty boring from the outside.  There needed to be signage, not just a decal on the window, to tell you what it is.  And the nice couple whose house they redid -- they kept talking about how they have up to 30 or so kids there at a time, yet they now have less seating in the living room.  it did look nice but may not meet their needs. (I'll be glad when the open shelving trend is over.)   And I thought it was weird that the twins were't there for the reveal.

The car art was interesting, but seemed off the beaten path. Not exactly a tourist attraction like The Corner right in the middle of town.

I totally agree about the root beer stand. It turned out nice, but needed a big sign across the front that faced the road. Otherwise, travelers passing through will be clueless as to what it is. The logo in the window was a huge fail.

Where are the coach and his wife going to accommodate all the kids now? The seating in the living room was reduced so much that they will be sitting on the floor unless the coach has a mess of (uncomfortable) folding chairs somewhere to set up. That pegboard/seating thing looked useless. The kitchen appeared very nice, but the open shelving seemed inadequate for what they need, although the wife said she liked it.

It was odd that the twins left before the reveal, but I find them tiresome and their work is completely average.

A recent trend I've noticed is the elongated "I". They'll say "Iiiiiiiiiii..." at the beginning of a sentence. There's a commercial that plays frequently on YouTube where a woman does that. Drives me bananas.

Another trend I've noticed is that House Hunters all seem to be "hosting"--never inviting friends over or having a get-together or party. They don't even use the cliched "entertaining" word anymore. Now they all need space to "host." That's a term I've never heard anyone actually use in real life.

    It was hideous.

Personally, I thought most of the house looked better before they "updated" it, although I liked the master bath and closet. Was there a bathroom in the lower level? If not, that bedroom is kind of a fail without a full bathroom nearby.

Are these two nitwits really top selling real estate agents in the area?

Did anyone watch the first episode of Home Town Kick Start last night?  I watched Call the Midwife instead.  Curious to see if it is worth watching on demand.

It was okay. Something different for a change. Watch it if you can fast forward through the boring stuff. It was nice that they renovated the town movie theater, but I thought the "games" in the lobby were dumb. Who plays foosball and ping pong while waiting to see a movie? I realize they were trying to provide something to appeal to young people to do, but that stuff just seemed out of place in a theater lobby. That had to be Jasmine's idea. Ty was slightly less creepy than usual, but still looked like a homeless wino.

One thing that bugged me... when they were driving into town Jasmine had her feet up on the dashboard of the truck. That is so dangerous in an accident situation. At least she was wearing her seat belt,

Yes thank you, GeorgiaRai.  I am still looking forward to another season, seeing ideas I never would've come up with that are good, and the awful ones too.  I will be wondering who they commandeer from their stable of "designers" who haven't already done it (and have any following at all), or maybe invite back.

Maybe they'll invite the losing teams back. 🤣

  8. It was kind of an interesting wrap-up. Dave, and especially Jenny, came off as not so nice. The twins acted like teenage tomboys. The Detroit guys were very humble and dignified. Egypt and Mike were the most likeable. I'd like to have lunch and margaritas with them. Ty looks just as stinky and homeless as ever.

You know Memphis faked the illness because she saw how ugly things had been and that she was getting grilled next.  I hope she doesn’t get paid for the Tell All and is not invited back for further seasons.

That was certainly a shit show. When Memphis said she was sick and left all I would think was, "is she knocked up again?" Hamza seemed to be the most level-headed of all the men. Interestingly, at the end Hamza said he looks forward to bringing his mother to the US.

Is Mike the dumbest guy to ever appear on "reality tv?" Eczema is probably agreeing to take him to Cartagena to be murdered. That place is a hell hole.

  10. Yes!!! Hooray! Egypt and Mike for the win! I don't know who did the actual appraisals, but adding a whole house generator was a huge bonus in the South Carolina low country. After Hurricane Hugo many towns in that part of the state were without power for some time. The "judges" didn't even mention it. As for not adding a fence... the houses on either side had fences along the property lines that could be tied into with gates near the front of the lot if the buyer chooses to do so and Egypt and Mike had a water view. Big selling point. A wrought iron fence could be added along there to not block the view. IMO, their house had the most appeal for a broader buyer pool than the others. I mean, not everyone has small children that would like a slide and those small children won't be small for long. Putting something like that in a house limits your buyer pool as does a "spa" room.

I could see whoever buys the house with the sailcloth "art" installation removing it on the day they close. Plus, I would guess that all the staging will be removed unless a buyer wants to pay for the furnishings so even Egypt and Mike's nursery could easily be redecorated for a teenager. I do agree the their outdoor kitchen area would have been improved with some type of overhead covering, even pergola style.

Mike is the most pathetic creature in human history. Imagine the nerve of judging a man who uses escorts when you're bankrolling a woman who hates you. At least in a sugar baby set-up, both parties know the deal. Mike is under the delusion he's in a relationship when in reality he's buying pity sex from a poor single mom.

But don't forget that that poor single mom is practically a prostitute who accepts money from men she "performs" for on the Internet and who has two kids fathered by two different low life men. I really don't feel sorry for her at all. Mike is simply delusional to think he ever had any future with her. If he keeps sending her money he deserves to end up in bankruptcy.

*I love Memphis' dress, trashy as it is.

    *Hamza cleaned up quite nicely.

OMG. Memphis looks like she shopped at Hookers R Us for the Tell All. She's been displaying her cleavage all season long but one wrong move in that dress and her "big boobies" are going to be on total display for everyone to see. Poor Hamza looks so dapper and she looks like a high priced street walker who finally got a decent wig.

I was irritated the mother kept pushing Quinton to spend the $400k the mortgage people approved him for.    That's pure folly to spend every cent you're approved for.   The $300k was so much more sensible, and it was exactly what the HH needed.    If he gets married, then he can follow his plan to rent out the townhouse, and buy a single family to live in.

I thought for sure he'd buy the first townhouse that he seemed to really like the best. Maybe he went with the 3-bedroom one because his pushy mama was 'helping' him financially.

NM my original post. I've found it: Welcome Inn, in Rogers Arkansas: http://www.thewelcomeinn.co/

    The page says:

    About the house:

    So, total Airbnb after all.

    Just what we thought.

When Dave was complaining about the cost of landscaping I wanted to yell at him, "How much did you spend on that fancy chicken coop?" And... who's going to take care of the chickens? That was really dumb.

Yet another season of me screaming “SCREENED IN PORCH!!” at the TV, to no avail. How could not one team add what has to be the most popular outdoor feature in this bug-infested Southern hell I live in and love so well??? Seriously, people. Screens + shade = win for a southern backyard.

No kidding! Our home had a deck when we bought it and we roasted using it, even with big umbrellas. We saved for years in order to replace the with a screened in sunroom and ceiling fans. Summerville is South Carolina Low Country. Noted for skeeters and palmetto bugs.

Egypt and Mike had the best outdoor kitchen. It's really a good idea to have it a ways from the outdoor porch area. Trust me on that! I was disappointed that they didn't have any shade on the deck outside the master bedroom.

I wondered if it is legal to have a rental apartment in that area.

If the subdivision has an HOA it's very possible that rental apartments, long-term and short-term, are not allowed, except in specific instances. For example, my subdivision's HOA only allows houses to be rented long term--no AirBNB or VRBO allowed. The one exception is during the week of the Masters golf tournament when many locals rent their houses to golf fans.

Every year there is the Spoleto Festival in Charleston that lasts for a few days more than two weeks. But... and this is a biggie... Rock the Block is taking place in Summerville, which is 25 miles north of Charleston and at least a half hour drive. Traffic in and around Charleston is horrific, especially for visitors who don't know their way around all the narrow one-way streets. Most festival-goers would want to be closer to the city.

EGAD, YESSSS !!!    So weird that it wasn't even mentioned.  Perhaps Dr. Lee didn't realize how prominent it was on our TV screens. Such BIG flakes. I bet that young woman is so embarrassed.

I noticed the dandruff on her scalp before the bumps. It was really distracting and in the "after" segment it was still visible.

They are calling this place a B&B but it sounds as though there will be no family owning/living in it to run a B&B - which makes it more an Airbnb.  The whole thing sounds a little screwy to me.  On top of all their lack of knowledge about what kind of kitchen they can have it just doesn't sound well thought out at all.

What do you want to bet that before they spend the money on a commercial kitchen set-up and a whole house sprinkler system that a buyer just happens to appear and offers them so much money to purchase the house that they sell it? Then they complete the remodel for the buyer. That's how I see this playing out.

Agree with everything you said.  I think she has been filming in Tenn and renovating her vaca home and she is involving the new fiancee in her show.  I think she wants a show with those 2.  You are right it looks like he doesn't do anything.  He is on her schedule.  Tarek is the brains behind the business so i think he will come up with something.

I can see Tarek always landing on his feet. On the other hand, I can see Christina landing in bankruptcy court.
