I didn't read your recap yet because I don't want to be spoiled before I get home to watch, but I can't tell you how excited you've made me that we finally have some new episodes. I swear, MM has more time off than I do, and I'm a school teacher. LOL.

I sat through this one, too, if only because I'm missing my TPC fix. I hope there are new episodes next week! You're right; she was a piece of work. Too many people think if something happens it HAS to be someone's fault. Sometimes the fault is just yours. Sometimes no one is at fault. I think plaintiff got huffy about something and decided to walk instead of riding in the car. I don't know if they mentioned her footwear, but I doubt she brought sneakers with her to dinner. In my version, she storms off from dinner. Hubby couldn't care less because she's insufferable. She's wearing shoes (or boots as the song says) that aren't made for walking. She loses her balance and falls on something thousands have walked over with no problem. I liked the defendant in the case. She explained how she wasn't hiding and is, in fact, listed in the white pages. TBT, I didn't know we still had white pages. Anyway, anyone with half a brain can search assessor records and find out who owns a property. And the nasty plaintiff clearly lied about her injury to her attorney, which might have contributed to her stupid case getting dropped. That and the fact that there was nothing wrong with the sidewalk.

Those same men would have a problem if their wives were having affairs; I guarantee you. It's not exactly an open marriage if it's only open for one of them!

I loved this episode and would put it in my top 5 for the series. Junior is hilarious, and I love how he's completely comfortable with who he is. As usual, the show touched on something I've experienced. I was born in '72 and have a brother who was born in '61. Growing up in the same house, I naturally fell in love with the music he listened to growing up. As much as I love 80s music, I also love 70s music because of his influence on me. Recently we were talking about music, and he mentioned Earth, Wind & Fire. I told him how much I love them. Without missing a beat, he said, "No, you don't." I don't know if the show has a writer who grew up exactly when I did and in the same type of family or what, but they are constantly having scenes that remind me of my family.

Kettle corn is an abomination! Popcorn should be served with garlic and parmesan seasoning or butter and salt. Nothing sweet should be in there. I love corn on the cob. I love frozen corn. Canned corn is disgusting. Whoever came up with creamed corn should be shot, although they're probably already dead. As for the game, I'm so tired of the board-hopping. It's clearly not going away, but so many contestants who do that have no success. It bothers me less when a contestant is strong and answering the clues. When they select a $1,000 clue in the first round and just stare at the board with an agape mouth, I want to strangle them. Why are you trying to find a DD when it's the beginning and you have no money? If the point is to keep opponents from getting them, then you're playing not to lose instead of playing to win.

I couldn't care less about appearance and am a squinter from afar too. As long as you don't board hop or interrupt Alex's inane comments ala Matt Jackson and Arthur Chu, we're good.

The best thing for me is when they have the air shows. I can watch from my patio. I'm an Army vet and don't mind the infrequent noise I get at all. The international airport is 3 miles the other way but I'm not on the flight plan. I did my research before i built here. I love being close to both, truth be told. Back to the show, when the heck are we getting new episodes? It's been weeks!

I built my house 1 1/2 miles from the Air Force base. I think I'll send the USAF a letter asking them to stop flying their jets because sometimes it's noisy.

I didn't know that was Chris Brown. If I did, I probably wouldn't have watched it. I couldn't place him at all, and I am pretty hip. At least I used to be hip. Anyway, the original commercial was appalling, and I'm glad Bow and his mama called him out on that bullshit. Charlie is always hilarious, and the kids cracked me up. Diane really is growing faster than Jack.

I just studied flags on one of the sites recommended here so I was particularly peeved they didnt finish it. Also, I hate watching contestants stare at the board because no one knows the answers. Pick another category, dammit!

FJ was laughable today. Why did they stay in the Cousteau category? I would have done well in Asian Flags! It was a fairly boring game, but I disagree with accepting maypole.
-
Maybe they didn't originally plan to air them. Or maybe it's easier for syndication. Not sure.
-
I thought this was an easy game too. I'm glad Adam lost. I just didn't like him.
-
I wasn't sure if it was watching Jeopardy or The Price is Right! Robert was too slow picking clues.

I'm glad you suffer through reruns so I don't have to!

I moved my parents into a gated mobile home retirement community that only allows people over 55 to live there. They kept letting my drug-addicted nephew stay with them, and the last time he stole from them for his habit I said I was finished with him and the BS. We found them a nice trailer in a beautiful community with swimming pools, bike trails, a gym, and a clubhouse. They couldn't be happier, and I have peace of mind knowing they can't let him stay with them, even if they want to! It's easier for them too because they now have a legal reason to tell him no, and he doesn't even know where they live now. I agree: bad parenting isn't always the culprit. My sister raised six kids. One of them is a screw-up, but the rest of them are fine. Even the screw-up is a nice kid when he's clean. However, the addiction makes him do shitty things. He's done shady stuff to everyone in the family, so he has no one to turn to now because we've all been burned by him. I miss him dearly and wish he'd get his life straight, but I have no trust left. I noticed that as well. It's sometimes hard for me to explain to non-minorities the microaggressions I notice immediately. I was watching a crime show last night on my favorite channel, ID, and they were talking about a black guy who "clearly looked out of place in the grocery store." I grit my teeth and move on, but I'd be lying if I said statements like that didn't bother me. And don't get me started on clerks who make a tenth of what I earn following me around stores like I'm going to steal something. There are at least a dozen stores I don't shop in because I refuse to give my money to a business that treats me like a damn criminal. Then there are the hotels that have to confirm multiple times that my girlfriend and I want one king bed and not two queen beds, as if they've never heard of gay people.

This is a mistake I keep making when I play at home. The clue will ask for four words, and I'll think they want four letters, and vice versa. I don't know why I keep doing that!

I had my worst game in a long time. I did get FJ, but the regular categories were just not my cup of tea. I saw a clip of the WOF fail. Streetcar Naked Desire? LOL

I sure have noticed it, and it drives me crazy. I've also been hearing a lot of litigants (and non-litigants) use "right now" when they mean "later." I've given up on the "me and him had went..." I teach middle school English Language Arts, which was just called English when I went to school in the 80s. I won't bore you with my tales of woe, but grading essays sends me into a Tourettes-style tirade of expletives that would make a sailor blush. It's so bad my partner will leave the house to avoid getting caught in the crossfire. Maybe they don't teach grammar in grammar school these days. I know there is no room for grammar in my school's seventh-grade ELA curriculum. If the kids aren't learning it at home, there's no hope for them. We're too busy trying to get them to pass the standardized tests on which our funding relies. Don't get me started on how stupid that is. Personally, being a voracious reader made me a better writer and speaker. Out of my 136 students, I have three who are big readers. They're also my three best students.

Not sure why I have a quote box. Anyway, FJ was an instaget for me, but I wouldn't have wagered much in that category. There were way too many TS's. I can't even remember most of them. I ssaid Festiva instead of Fiesta.

It looks like his face is dirty. I thought this episode was boring, so I have nothing to add.

I love college basketball, but I'm lucky because Jeopardy comes on ABC where I live. If it were pre-empted by basketball, it would irritate me too.

Thirded. I swear at one point she looked at him as if to say, "why are you in my space?" I don't usually notice the swaying, but he was out of control! It would've been hilarious to see her push him back over. I got FJ right away, thanks to the Olympics. I agree Gibson should've been the guess after Fender. I thought Apple was a terrible guess and hit my forehead when he answered with it. They're either right in my wheelhouse or this has been an easy week. I've been killing it from my living room!

An idiot playing an idiot. It's the perfect role for her. I liked it too. I'ma huge Lithgow fan. Third Rock was great, but he gave me my favorite season of Dexter too.

I got Jakarta immediately because I know Java is the most populous island. I'm sure I learned it from jeopardy. Thanks for the geography links. World geography, art, and classical music are all things I'd need to brush up on before going on the show.
