Today on Jenna and Friends, they had a segment called Jenna's Bookshop, where she brought out what I thought would be deals for the viewers. One of Jenna's picks was pajamas that cost $128-$148! And then she says, "That may seem expensive, but guess what?!? We get 25 percent off with the code." Maybe it's just me, but I don't know anybody who would spend that much money on one pair of pajamas. Also, earlier on the Today show they were talking about the White Lotus that was filmed in Thailand and how some of the cast went to see the pygmy hippo, Moo Dang. Jenna had the audacity to say, "Let's take a field trip there." Al thankfully said, "Yeah, they're gonna pay for THAT." Why is she always asking for free things/trips? It's embarrassing. She can afford to take herself (and her family) anywhere in the world.

Jenna cannot carry the 4th hour without a stable partner. She needs to be the second banana, not the lead. This "Jenna and Friends" is never going to work, IMO. She constantly stares off to the side (for direction??). She did it all the time even when Hoda was there. She is HORRENDOUS during any and all cooking segments. All she cares about is eating. She repeatedly side eyes whatever she's planning on grabbing and then finally takes it. I miss the cooking segments of yesteryear where the host(s) waited until the guest finished showing how to prepare their dish, and THEN the hosts would sample the food and oooh and ahhhh over it. I BEG her, please STOP SINGING. She cannot carry a tune, and for some reason, no one seems to have been able to tell her this. She needs a friend to speak up and save her from embarrassing herself. Another huge pet peeve of mine is Jenna's constant begging to the guests. Begging for a part in their next movie or tv show. Begging to be invited to their house. Begging to hang out with them. Begging to record "another" record. She should consider herself to have already won the life lottery, because if her last name was not Bush, she would never have a job here.

I felt terrible for poor Tanner tonight. What happened to him? It's like he couldn't even hear the music, he was so off. I liked him best when he sang She's Always a Woman with Lennon. While I didn't love Ruby's live song yesterday, she's my pick to go all the way.

Hands down, Ruby is my favorite. I loved, loved, LOVED her rendition of Linda Ronstadt's Long Long Time. I wish she recorded it as a single so I could hear the song in it's entirety!

Well, wonders DO cease, because Monday may have been live, but today (Wednesday) was pre-recorded. Wonder if that means tomorrow and Friday will also be taped.

A Monday show today that was actually LIVE. Wonders never cease.

Ana embarrassed herself today when she said loved The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel sooooo much and that she was rewatching it, and then proceeds to say that she was waiting for Midge to sleep with Lenny Bruce. Can't be too much of a fan if you didn't know that they DID sleep together last season.

BY THE WAY, Hoda has said "By the way" 5 times in the first 17 minutes of the Hoda and Jenna show. She says it over and over and over again. It's not necessarily a bad expression, but her overuse of the expression drives me insane. She does this every.single.day on both the 7-9 hour, and the Hoda and Jenna show.

Why is Whoopi always eating on the show, even when they're not doing a food segment? Can't she make it an hour without food? Or, if not, can't she eat during the commercials? There's no excuse for a mouth full of food when coming back from a commercial.

I deliberately watch it alone (well, husband was sleeping next to me). I wanted to ugly cry without being judged.

I haven't sobbed this much in a very, very long time. Well done.

Top Pet Peeves: 1)Jenna is a TERRIBLE singer, and yet she thinks she's good. Someone really needs to tell her. Today she sang a line from an Adele song and said to Hoda, "Does that sound good?" Hoda just smiled, but didn't answer. Hoda, just tell her the truth! 2)Most of the Today Show people are absolute PIGS when doing the cooking segments. It's like they've haven't eaten in days. They are all bad, but Hoda is the worst! Then she cleans her teeth with her tongue (through a closed mouth). I absolutely can't stand it. Jenna pretends to be participating in the segment, but if you watch her eyes, all she does is keep staring at the food that she's already sampled. And then she takes another bite. Hoda and Jenna with popcorn? They just shovel it into their mouths, barely coming up for air. Probably the ONLY thing I was grateful for during the worst of Covid, was that they stopped with all the in-studio cooking segments, and I didn't have to see them eat.
