This show kinda reminds me of the 1970s Blaxploitation movies. Pam Grier vibes. Fun episode. You can't take this too seriously, or it's no fun to watch.

Bail Organa died when the Death Star destroyed Alderaan in the first Star Wars movie (IV).

Two this week. Then back to one a week, for the next two weeks. And that's a wrap for this season. I have no idea why they did two this week.

She didn't cheat, she simply broke one of the rules. Cheating implies acting dishonestly to gain an advantage. It was clear from her reaction that she didn't realize using her legs like that was not allowed. And why would he pretend not to notice? You're implying he favors one player over another. Jeff may love certain stories, and isn't above playing up anything he can for eyeballs, but he considers the integrity of Survivor to be Job One.

With the caveat that everyone has different tastes... As someone who started out watching all three, but dropped Found and The Irrational, High Potential was a much more interesting and captivating show. It was both light-hearted at times, and serious when it needed to be. The characters came across as real. The Irrational, as a contrast, veered into ridiculous plots far too often. And the characters were (at times) cartoonish. Bottom line, HP was more fun to watch.

It's been a while, I will probably do a rewatch, or at least a partial, to get ready. I'll miss the incredibly gifted guidance of David Goyer.

Should have kept watching. I felt similar to you, but then, in minute 13, the entire tone changed. Seriously, go back and finish, and see if by the end of the episode you feel different.

I read elsewhere that the actor playing Kaya (Carra Patterson) wants to do more than just be a supporting character on a TV show. It wasn't specific (plays, TV, movies), just that she wants to do more, and that means change. It's a gutsy move, giving up a steady salary for the unknown. Good for her.

Typically the showrunner has the final say. It could be the writers, producers, even an actor might suggest titles. -

No. They even said in an interview they had no idea that the other had picked a title so close to theirs. -
A few random thoughts: * Acting has to be really bad for me to notice, but I thought the mom was terrible. Not the writing, the acting. * The writers are taking this "cops are cool with Colter" too far. They enter a hostage scenario, and they let Colter follow them with his gun drawn?!? Never in any world does this happen. * That cop gets shot in the gut. Colter looks at him, says he's gonna be okay, it didn't hit anything vital. * I've always assumed most detectives are a cut above the average street cop, and certainly assertive when needed. But this one followed him around like a puppy dog. Nodding at all his wisdom, and agreeing to whatever he wanted to do. Even entered a crime scene with both of their guns drawn, clearing the rooms for each other. * And Reenie. {sigh} Again. She always has a "favor she called in", getting access to the most private info--juvie records, medical info, court-sealed docs. While I mostly enjoy watching this, it's becoming harder each week, as it gets more outlandish and ridiculous each episode.

I think they said something like "first female late-night host on a major network", to cover their ass. She did have that very short-lived show on Fox, but it was when Fox was new, and certainly wasn't a major network.

Unless there is a significant improvement in the remaining episodes, I think this is it for me. The writing has really taken a downward turn, and it's just not the show I originally liked. Last night was a perfect example. We have no backstory on the "bad guys". Who is the old man ("Father"), why do the two younger guys follow him, why has the girl never run off (at least in summer). Why did they kill the older couple? Where did his fellow snow tracker friend come from? Etc etc etc. What's up with Bobby and Randy? Why are they at odds? If Bobby likes his cuz enough to let him fill in, why piss all over him? And then at the end, when Colter was stalking quietly into the room, all of a sudden POP BANG BOOM in 3 seconds it's all over. WTF happened? You'd have to slo-mo replay it to see, and I don't care enough to do that. Nothing made sense. And it's been like this lately. There are four eps left. They need to be tightly written, well-told stories, or this gets added to the huge pile of CBS Sunday night shows that couldn't sustain themselves.
