Yeah - the ol' "fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me" has been ver-r-r-y effective in the past year. I was disappointed there was no reference to the guilty verdicts in the Elmer Stewart Rhodes, et al, trial. Hope the Viewmasters aren't gonna limit hot topics in favor of the oh so boring agony aunts issues/spurious GERMAN polls for the hols. Updated Thursday, 2 days since 2 leaders of the Oathkeepers were found guilty of seditious conspiracy to overthrow the federal government in the Jan 6 insurrection, and still no acknowledgment on The View! Or did I miss it?

“…thick-tongued fabulist her flute.” Love it! Truly, Bravo!

Oh, you’d look amazing, of course - at least from the front. Horizontal stripes across the rear didn’t do Gizzard any favors. Speaking of the devil, hate to admit that I agree with her - it’s past time for Robin to cover her naked bod in front of her teenage sons, although occasional lapses may be ok.

Yet more gun deaths and the question was whether to report a person with a gun in a FREE, open carry place like Virginia. Soon we’ll be stuck at home, afraid to shop, go to school, take in a movie, walk the dog, etc., but celebrating our liberty to bear arms. Are we nuts? When will the majority truly rule in this country?

Kenz, meet me in the shallow end - I’m also curious as to whether all that overpowering hair is rooted or is it an unnecessary “piece?” If the latter, her hairdresser needs help! Loved it when (near the beginning) someone asked why Ron DeSantis called Dr Fauci an elf, and Whoopi or Joy replied, has the Floridian looked in the mirror? Perfect! Smirking DeSanctimonious (tm YouKnowWho, an actual bon mot😳) strongly resembles one of Snow White’s 7 cartoon buddies.

Can't The Viewrunners come up with any more interesting topics than intrafamily recipe disputes in this time of national & international upheaval? Can't take much more Reddit asininity.

"Watermelon" is perfectly descriptive. I've seen "Fig" in Seattle, not recently though. And if found, I recommend it for JOY B.!!

I don’t think you have to be a lawyer to have an informed political opinion. The View panelists currently include 2 attorneys (Sunny Hostin & Ana Navarro), 2 political science/government majors (Sara Haines & Alyssa Farrah), 1 with a social work undergrad degree and an MA in English (Joy Behar), and Whoopi Goldberg (with stellar credentials from The School of Hard Knocks.) So not entirely an uneducated group. Now, back to Potomac, which seems to operate in a political vacuum, save for Dr. Wendy…

Burt’s Bees Watermelon is my mainstay - still a fan of the “natural “ (ha) look. And thumbs up for days of semi-yore, when dating around, having fun sans pressure of expected sex, was typical!

Sarah wore what seemed to be pale pink lipstick today, which doesn’t translate well on the tv screen but can appear to enlarge the lips. With her new shorter haircut (wig?) and kinda mushy looking mouth today, at some angles she resembled 76 yr old Diane Sawyer. Sarah only “needs” minimal makeup; I dislike her recent, often overdone, eyes. Joy, otoh, would benefit from a slightly paler and glossier mouth instead of that dark, harsh, matte gash (my sole criticism of the amazing J!) Both interviews were great, but would anybody recognize Garth B. sans hat? Vanity, thy name is not always woman.
-
Re Sarah’s pooch - I’ve noted that several times recently. Maybe preggers or possibly just normal after birth body wreckage (Sunny’s right - those brats OWE 😉). Or more brilliant fashion choices from their award winning stylists.

Some things I liked in today’s show : Joy saying, the former prez is like a “defeated Mussolini “ and his party “ is trapped and they can’t get out .” Ana saying, “he belongs in the big house not the White House” and we should fight like hell to make sure “he’s nowhere near the presidency ever ever ever again.” Sunny saying, last time, the media made the disgraced, twice impeached former prez more and more famous, so this time we should “pay attention to the criminal, if he’s indicted, but let’s not pay so much attention to this guy who’s trying to grift and make money off the presidency.” And The Lion King puppets, of course!

Ha - Alyssa's skirt was only a few inches above her knee as she walked out today, but when she sat down ... Brought back memories of my fav holy roller, Mrs. Bitsy (who sometimes hitched her miniskirts even higher, the better to display her best feature.)

I'm in the USA, up to date on my vax, & had an additional booster this early fallfor Covid variants/omicron. I'd recheck w/a pharm/dr., if I were you.

The above is bit too subtle (for me!) I dislike the thick platform shoes that look like horse's hooves in profile, & cringe every time (Sunny, mainly) clumps over to the (ghastly) View Yr Deal tables. And speaking of (Sunny), if that's her rooted hair, more power to her, she's a wonder of the world. But if it's a hairpiece, give it a rest! Half of her 'do today would've been sufficient! Sunny was shown at home pre-pandemic, & her hair then was barely shoulder length (obvs growth may well have occurred since) & fairly thin; it appeared only a little longer & thin a coupla years ago, when she had a true crime victims show on ID?? channel. Good show today - yay, Joy, don't ever leave us! Also adore Steve Martin - NAH :) (oldie's joke...) & was impressed with Fat Joe, too. And somehow, the world looks a bit brighter this week!
-
I think it was Sunny who noted that tax payers paid Pence’s salary and thus we have a right to expect his cooperation in the congressional investigation of the insurrection, rather than waiting until he profits bigly from a book deal. Love the ironic title - “So Help Me God.” Goddess save us all!

Re a post above that accused me of "microaggression," Sunny said on The View that her family only calls her Asuncion, & (in an 8/23/21 AARP interview) that she "Americanized" her name for professional reasons. Thus I didn't feel my (snarky, I confess) use of her birth name to be insulting or denigrating. In the same AARP interview, Sunny stated that her maternal grandmother was a "tiana,", which she defined as "sort of an Indian (HER words) Puerto Rican," so it was startling to learn, as a longtime viewer, that Sunny now considers her mom to be "white." I apologize for any inadvertent "microaggression," but find Sunny to be a tad hypocritical lately, although I admire & respect her work ethic & most of her contributions to The View.

I waited in vain for Sunny to acknowledge her rhinoplasty, especially when she said (accurately, IMO) that criticism of Michelle Obama’s (glorious) looks was largely race related. Would’ve been interesting to learn whether the much decried white beauty “standards” contributed to Asunción’s decision to get a nose job. Especially since she won a beauty contest while at Binghampton, apparently before cosmetic surgery.
-
No, no, NO, Alyssa, you (who resigned from the last administration on 12/3/21, after serving as a policy spinner for several years) don’t get to group yourself with Liz Cheney, who sacrificed her political career to try to serve the cause of justice! In a 1/7/21 interview with Politico, Alyssa stated that she continued to have respect for the last president and didn’t want to throw the baby out with the bath water. Maybe she was waiting until she got her post-government career offers?

Sounds like Weird Al’s was a good interview, as was Rep. Val Deming’s. Sadly, our local broadcast was interrupted due to a high school shooting that left 1 dead. Will it never end?

Thank goddess for Sunny’s presence on the panel - Alyssa is revealing her true color, orange. I think she actually referred to “my“ President today or yesterday, and she didn’t mean Biden. Otoh, while appreciative of Asunción, I get a little tired of her self righteousness. Is there a protected class to which she doesn’t belong? And she often refers to her economically challenged childhood. Sunny said today that her mother (previously described by her as an indigenous Puerto Rican) is “white” - really? I researched Sun a tad online and found that her Puerto Rican mom and aunt were teachers, and Sunny attended the prestigious private Dominican Academy in NYC, where current tuition is $20K. Probably she had financial help/scholarships, but while teachers aren’t highly paid they also aren’t impoverished (unless they choose to live in expensive areas.) Sunny’s also mentioned in recent months that her grandfather was Jewish; he was apparently from Spain. We’ve heard frequently that she grew up in the “projects” but she def had the benefit of educated (and loving) maternal (at least) relatives. She talks a lot on the show re law school at Notre Dame, but did undergrad at Binghamton, and changed her major to English after struggling as a biology major, even taking an extra year to graduate. Lucky her to have had that freedom, which ain’t cheap! And she studied abroad, at Oxford, no less. She also won a campus beauty contest-wonder why she later had a rhinoplasty? ? Not trying to bust her chops, but she often touts her underprivileged background and always pounces on any possible racial slight. I apologize if anything stated above is inaccurate - but hey, it’s online!

I agree Nicolle’s dress was a rather strange choice, but totally missed the shoulders, being focused more than I (straight female, older model) probably should have been on her atypical cleavage display! Kinda had the impression she was treating her return to The View as a special occasion deserving a dressier style than her workaday usual. Same fantastic hair, however, apparently all her own - lucky B#*+%😉 Looking forward to her election special.
-
Wow, Whoops really loves Nicolle - and so do I ! Re free speech, many have said the attitudes of the last prez allowed those inclined to openly express hatred. Kudos to Nicolle Wallace for recognizing that her former party was no longer representative of her values. Too bad The View didn’t realize the gem they had, dumping her after 1 season, the better to debase the show with anti-vaxxers, flat-earthers and similar ignorami.
-
But…how do you know Sunny’s IQ? Is there real evidence of her alleged high intelligence? A while back she fared poorly on Jeopardy or a similar show. A great gpa means less in some schools than others. I like her and am happy she’s speaking out for the preservation of democracy, but am not convinced she’s Mensa material . Otoh, I do think she’s playing a role of super jealous wifey.

Have definitely concluded lately (& not negging ) that Joy wears a flattering wig - she has the very same cute little flicks/flips on the left side of her hair every single day, ever since I started monitoring them. She does look amazing for a 60 year old, much less 2 decades older. Imo, Whoops has improved her style lately, her nails and hair look nicer, and especially with the black and white “suit” as someone referred to it (which I thought was comical;) but now she’s worn that get-up at least 2 or 3 times already, so maybe it’s handily on the floor next to her bed?? Waiting eagerly for Nicole Wallace on Monday- for a Californian who claimed on The View that she didn’t know exactly where Malibu is, she’s come a loooong way, baby! Love her on Deadline White House, extended to 2 hours, Imo for her overall excellence.
