Joy asked the question how does her mother not age? I think the answer is wearing the same hairstyle since 1987.

S14.E5: High Horses and Low Blows
emma675 replied to ZettaK's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
I need Sutton to stop with the whole sisterhood and honesty and kumbaya crap. It's too much. And where is it coming from? Why is she pushing this so hard? Dorit needs to shut up, just once. When even Erika thinks you're going too far and tries to shush you, yikes. What's annoying is that I think a lot of what Dorit is saying is accurate, but she's so damn dramatic and over the top and long winded that it loses any point she might have had. I hate that I was agreeing with a lot of what Erika's therapist was saying and I also hate that she couldn't even take 10 minutes to shower and wash her hair before filming. Boz is losing me. Camille's face is pulled so tight I was afraid her forehead was going to split. I adore Jennifer Tilly and her next door houses and her crazy ass drunk doll and her gorgeous clothes and jewelry and her attitude towards life. I think she has a good time wherever she goes. Forgot to add, I loved Garcelle's little beach house. It was so light and airy and beautiful. -
Someone on reddit is claiming that Dave once said they get $5,000 a month from the clearing house. And that it's not taxable because it's church related funds. I don't know how true that is, but I was staggered. That's a significant amount of money, imo. Although probably not near enough for Jill's own personal budget of coffee, nails, vacations, and ratty hair extensions.

Didn't they also rake in several thousand in those government tax child credits (I can’t think of what they were called officially) during Covid? I remember us trying to calculate how much they got total since it was per child. Obviously that ended a while ago, but I think that proved they aren't above taking government handouts even while complaining about said government.

Wow, that whole enforced social media break so Jill could learn her lesson did absolutely nothing. She seems worse than ever - bragging about her constant vacations, new nails, clothes, and how super Christian and godly she is. I wonder what the pastor at their church thinks? Or the people at the foundation that supports their ministry? Jill seems to always have plenty of money to spend on Jill, but her kids are walking around in Goodwill cast offs, looking super thin, and miserable. She is the worst.

I was curious so I went to Hulu and looked at a random episode from season 5. The apartment fire is there.

I was thinking more about that insane music video after the shock wore off. What is the point of it? What does Jill hope to accomplish with it? Does she truly believe it will help them win souls to Jesus (or whatever wacky phrase she uses)? Also, why was the lip syncing wildly off in places? Were they really in slow mo or did Jill make them walk suuuuper slowly in places so it would seem like they were? So many questions. It really did seem like a video of a cult from the 1980s.

I had no idea Jennifer Tilly had Simpsons money. That explains a lot. Kyle and Dorit screaming at each other across the table after a nice toast cracked me up. I also got a laugh out of everyone's silent reactions - Sutton all exasperated, Boz looking shell shocked, Kathy confused as usual, Erika panicking that she's going to get dragged into it because she read a text, Garcelle bored. It was like a fantastic silent film. I really want to side with Dorit because Kyle has a history of dishing it out and not wanting to take it, but Dorit is just so damn annoying. And I keep cracking up over Dorit looking so smug and satisfied after yelling at Kyle because her arguments are not as cogent as she thinks they are. She has good points but they get lost in the dramatic wording she uses. And her meltdown over freaking earrings was ridiculous. I can't imagine how exhausting it is to be around her irl (or Kyle or Kathy or a lot of the Housewives). Where tf is Porsche money coming from?? I thought Erika was broke? Even a Porsche rental is fairly pricy.

This felt like a series finale to me. They wrapped up all of the storylines, including getting Alberg and Cassandra back together, stopping a serial killer, and revealing Cassandra's useless friend was just a jackass because he was hiding his and his sister's drug use. The cop who was injured came back, the cop who felt like a fraud got self redemption, and we learned more about the elder cop's background. I doubt this show will be renewed, but I will miss it. Mainly the scenery, where they film is gorgeous.
