You should definitely check the series Ramy, which was mind blowing for me in terms of getting to know the islamic community of Jersey City. And as the actress playing Ramy's sister is the one playing Scarlet Scarab in Moon Knight, it can be in the same universe in my head canon 😁.

By the way, the other dimension bleeding out and destroying the other is definitely like the "Incursions" they discussed in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, right?

I had very strong vibes of Ramy meets Scott Pilgrim watching this, which is a very positive thing in my opinion! Both the visual style and the tone of the story felt very organic and I really hope they manage to keep that the whole season. I especially liked the sequence when they are biking and their ideas of costumes appear as street art on the various buildings. And showing Kamala doodling all the time made it feel totally earned. I personally can't wait for her to interact with Spider-man, as they are basically neighbours and giv off a kind of similar vibe: energetic and enthusiastic even if sometimes a bit out of their depth. Although a team-up with Kate Bishop would also be interesting, as @AimingforYoko pointed out!

I agree that this episode is weaker that the previous two, although it is still gorgeously filmed and the acting is on point. Oscar Isaac is really an amazing actor and May Calawamy is conveying much with attitudes and looks, especially around Steven. The meeting of the gods left me pretty baffled at how inefficient they were at investigating the subject and not even scared what freeing Ammit could mean... Having a PhD in Astrophysics, the sky rewinding seemed such a waste of resources to me as we have a pretty good idea of what the sky looked like at that time. Another thing is that realistically it would have taken several hours or days to develop a code able to pinpoint the location based on the scan of the cloth and the actual sky 😅 . The fact that Layla had that ready on her tablet is wild! With a nice visual interface, even! At that point, I think that the show is telling us that Layla's father was killed by Marc or maybe the even more violent alter (Scotty?). The fake cops in the previous episode were saying that Marc had executed all those scientists on a digging site, right?

In my head canon, Layla is from New Jersey and has a brother named Ramy who's very conflicted about moral and religion 😁 (by the way, if you haven't, you should absolutely watch the series Ramy, everyone in it is stellar, including May Calamawy). Nice episode, I really like how they balance the two personas, they are very different but quite complementary and I cannot help rooting for Steven!

Hélène is probably the biggest way you can waste a very good actress and a promising intro for a character. So she is supposed to be the one who hunted and tortured the members of the 12? How is that such a non-event?! And why kill her off that way when it adds virtually nothing to the story or to character development, as we are totally lost on what Vilanelle and Eve are really thinking, at this point?

My my, this episode was such a bore... I thought that they found their footing with the flashback but it was more an exception :-/ I was even unfazed by them killing off Konstantin, even though I love the character. And seriously, what is the point of introducing yet another deadly female assassin so late in the season? Just to create a (very unconvincing) love triangle? And that cliffhanger, meh... At least, they addressed the fact that Eve has a completely fucked-up behaviour but that did not amount to much (except some cameos from earlier seasons).

Oh, and remember all those flashbacks of Boba on Kamino that they repeated several episodes and that didn't amount to anything in the end? Nice narrative choice...
