Same tbh and I agree I like them together. I really enjoyed this episode, I was worried for Ripley for a second there and his scene with Dr Charles made me cry.

Apparently there’s going to be a lot of Jay and Hailey in the last 2 episodes. I think we haven’t seen a lot of them due to them featuring a lot in the first half of the season. The best thing this show could do is get rid off the character led episodes. That said last nights episode was really good and enjoyed the case. Nice change of pace.

I really enjoyed this episode, I hope we see the new recruit again. It was nice to see some new blood in the unit. Lol it sure seemed like it.

Sounds like a good episode and it can’t be any worse than the toxic Burzek episodes we’ve just had to endure. Bring it on!
-
Right and you certainly wouldn’t bring a little girl who watched her babysitter get murdered in that apartment right back to that apartment. That’s just trauma upon trauma.
-
I agree with all of this. I think Severide has more Chemistry with Seaver than he does with Stella.

Good Point and especially after last nights episode. That said, Hank should have pulled him off the case a lot sooner, if fact they should have never had him on it. He’s a hot head at the best of time never minds when someone he loves is involved.

Do you think it will have an affect on her getting custody of Makayla?
-
No, we had a episode after when Detective North who was investigating Roy’s disappearance interviewed the intelligence unit. My point was being that they are police officers in the intelligence unit there’s just absolutely no way that they don’t know he’s body was found and then the case was closed. They obviously wouldn’t know how he actually died just the version that he’s dead because of the other child traffickers that they blamed it on. Also notice at the custody hearing they mentioned Kim being kidnapped and shot but not that the suspect was still at large and could potentially be a threat to Makayla. Which is I said it was frustrating because we should have got that closure on screen for Kim and also the superintendent who’s son was murdered.
-
The thing is the case is closed and North isn’t around so obviously Kim knows that Roy is dead. It’s just really frustrating that we didn’t get that closure with her finding out onscreen.

I agree, we need some humour, quick Witt and happiness for the characters. It clear the actors love their job, give it their all and all have great chemistry with each other so it’s time the writers give them something to work with away from misery all the time.

The actors are best friends in real life (their words. There is no humour or witty banter in PD full stop these days. Nothing to do with how well the actors get on. We can agree to disagree.

I agree with all of this. I think the uncle and his wife should have won custody. I wonder if something will change regarding that after next weeks episode. Not enough Jay and Hailey but I understand that it’s a Burzek episode and so is next weeks. I’m looking forward to Jay’s next episode.

Fantastic episode, one of the best if not the best so far this season. The episode was interesting from start to finish, it was really nice to have a storyline that didn’t have drug dealers or gang bangers as the perp. More of that please Chicago PD. The scenes with Jay and Hailey were well done, he was so worried about her and she was just worried about the case. These two have fantastic chemistry and I can’t wait to see how they progress. It was also really nice to see Hailey having scenes with Kevin and Trudy and I like that we got more of Hailey and Trudy’s backstory. Again more of the that. Tracy Spiridakos is an amazing actress, my fav scenes was Hailey in the ambulance suffering with hypothermia and being completely out of it. She portrayed it perfectly. Also shout out to the stunt lady for jumping in the freezing Chicago river in the middle of the night.

That was a good episode. The got the amount of light hearted and dark scenes right.

Kim Burgess: Flying Into a New Career Path

Or maybe if they just get rid of the single character led episodes all together then storylines can flow better and run concurrently. -
Isn’t that the whole show though not just Hailey? The show has become very dark, the characters are constantly put through the ringer and very rarely aloud any happiness. There is hardly any humour in the show at moment and the team rarely interact as a unit. Thats not a Hailey problem that’s a Chicago PD whole show problem.

No they haven’t. I’m guessing due to her lack of sleep she was blacking out periods of the day and injured herself during that time.

Yeah it wasn’t my favourite episode, I just don’t really care about Anna or her story. That said it was nice to see Hank get some more screen time. More Trudy please Chicago PD.

I stand corrected. Thank you.

The next episode sounds like it’s going to be really good. Seems like they are going all the way in with the stunts and special effects. I’m glad the new producers is mixing the partnerships up or at least allowing different characters to interact. Interview with Laroyce Hawkins (Kevin) “Upton’s (Tracy Spiridakos) off-hours jog takes a dramatic turn on the Wednesday, February 23 episode of CHICAGO P.D., when she has to risk her life to save victims of a car crash. “[‘Still Water’ is] the most thrilling ride, because of the stunt and special effects that Upton [deals with],” LaRoyce Hawkins, who plays Atwater, teases. “Oh my God, watching that is gonna be like watching one of those old TOMB RAIDER, Lara Croft films. Tracy goes in—I think it’s going to be dope to watch her, along with the help of stunts and special effects, and Chad Saxton who directed it.” And though Atwater and Upton’s interactions tend to be more limited, the hour also provides “some dope moments between Atwater and Upton,” Hawkins previews. “We [generally] see a lot of Burgwater, but we don’t see a lot of Upwater. So for us to find that Upwater moment…that’s what I’m looking forward to—it’s gonna be dope.” Also Marina tweeted:

This storyline isn’t that different. A felony is a felony and every member of the unit has committed at least one and none of them have gone to jail over it. Hailey has need punished for past behaviour, Hank temporally kicked her out the unit and sent her to NY. It was supposed to be longer than it was but covid put an end to that. 4 minutes over is still over besides they didn’t marry for spousal privilege because that would only work if the crime had been committed during their marriage not before. I will say I enjoyed this weeks episode. Anna is a great addition to the case and it’s a shame that clearly she’s not going to be around for much longer. I think they should bring the patrol element of the show back.
-
Every single current character/cop has committed a crime and none of them have been punished/sent to prison for it. This storyline is no different. Like you said it’s a tv show. Lol it seems that way.

It’s more to do with the character led episodes, we’ve not seen much of Upstead since they got married which is fine as other characters are getting a chance to shine but unfortunately it means we haven’t heard much about how their married life is going. The next is a massive Hailey one so chances are we will get an on-site to how their marriage is going then.

Nope the case was officially solved and closed when they got married.
