Oh, I do too. Maybe not the specifics he mentioned, but he was a lost soul. I had a shirt-tail relative who was in the Middle East and came back so psychologically damaged that he was on permanent disability forever. At age 30. Monty seemed out of control, in a way not many hoarders on the show have been. I felt terrible that Audora died. She was so over-the-top giddy and happy about the hoard being tamed and the house being livable. Like she was dialed up to 11, emotionally. At least she got to see that happen before she passed. Thank Gawd the show blurred out the contents of that toilet! Small mercies.

My DVR always cuts off the end of Hoarders, so I missed the Tim epilogue. Thanks for providing it. Gonna change the settings to have it record five minutes longer so it's not necessary to come here every week just to figure out what happens. Tim and DeeDee both seemed like intelligent people, and I hope they make it. I thought DeeDee's true alliance/partnership was with her sisters rather than her husband, and while having a strong family to back you up is important, she really did treat Tim as a second-class citizen in the marriage. Here's hoping. No caked toilets, no dead animals, I'm happy.

I really liked John. Such a California hippie. He and Andi seemed very much in tune, and I was glad to see her little breakdown. It must be like loving an addict, being with a hoarder. His daughter seemed lovely, as well. I really hope he keeps it up. Funny how they showed everything looking so open and beautiful, and then mentioned that there was still a lot to clean out. I hope with the support of the professionals, Andi, and his family, John keeps it from ever getting out of control again. I'm really liking the hoarders this season. Happy endings, for the most part. And no gross-out messes or screaming harpies (so far). Fingers crossed.

Weeks later, and I still can't believe Jane/Jada picked Elvis as a celebrity relative. After plenty of private bragging on how smart she is, how she's got a psychology degree, she's older and knows more than the young'uns... and then she picks Elvis, who's famous for having a daughter, and only a daughter. I shake my head, and I laugh.

Yeah, to me Chris looks as much like his father as Simone Biles' sister looked like her last season. I wonder what would happen if they guess his relative to be Marie, or Jimmy Osmond, or one of the other brothers?

I come from a very stubborn family, and it is my lifelong goal not to be that way. Marjorie pushed every button I have, and then some. I echo the wanting to throat punch her. At this point, seeing my sweet Dr. Tolin go mano-a-mano with her is the only enjoyment I'm getting from this episode. Hateful woman. Just hateful.

Thank you! Turns out it was regular Jeopardy, and the answer was The Flower Duet from the opera Lakme. It was driving me mad, and I appreciate your steering me to the J-Archive.

I'm hoping someone can figure out what I'm talking about here. In one of the final ToC games, there was a musical clue in which a few bars of music were played, and it was a section of a famous bigger piece. It was quite lovely, and I've been hearing it in my head ever since. It may have been a triple stumper. If anyone remembers the piece of music's title, or can send me to a site where the game and answers (questions?) are embedded, I'd be most appreciative.

I wonder how Alyssa feels about 89-year-old Chuck Grassley (Republican) running and winning another six-year-term, which he will complete at age 95? If she isn't suggesting he be put out to pasture with comparatively youthful-at-79 Joe Biden (Democrat), then I see an agenda behind her words. I have neighbors/friends who are Cuban (the family became refugees when Castro came to power) and bristled when I once mistakenly described them as Latino. They informed me that their family descended from Spaniards (and they are indeed blond and blue-eyed). That expanded my understanding of people from the Caribbean and their different heritages, and I am very careful to wait to hear how people describe themselves now before saying a word.

Gravity Check replied to dubbel zout's topic in The Graham Norton Show
Having everyone on the couch again adds so much. I don't know if it's an unconscious feeling of intimacy and comfort between the guests or what, and I certainly understand why the show went with the socially distanced chairs for a while. But the couch interviews just seem to have that little extra fun element that Graham's show often produces. -
I thought Ivana Trump. (Poor lady, she'll be best remembered for being buried in a golf course her former husband owned.)

I was literally yelling at the screen during all the baseball clues. So easy for me, so hard for them. Don Kessinger was "my" Cub. And I too wish Margaret had won. Nothing against the other players, I just like her.

I had to skip Senator Cruz. I knew what he was going to say, and I knew it would make me mad. So the ol' fast-forward for Rafael. I did enjoy the rest of the show.

I live in Illinois, the "Land of Lincoln." I knew that, primarily from the name of a rest stop near Springfield. We may not want to be steeped in Lincolnabilia, but it does sink in when you're not paying attention.
