I hate this new format. It's not like I ever watch Top Chef and think, "Man, if only this had more trash talk." I am also over Richard Blais, who I kind of liked in his own season. I hope he gets his ass handed to him by Shirley in the finale. And creepy Uncle Wolfgang can zip it with bedroom comments.

I wish someone had said something about the sad little set of fake arms on Cig's "Vishnu" alien. I thought that deserved to be in the bottom over the blue/gold Egyptian. I liked the winning look a whole bunch. The new judge, Lois, is a treat.

The acting in this series is really top notch. Shaun Evans' brings an intensity to the role which makes it clear how Morse is both attractive and hard to live with. (I would have taken that pen from him and stabbed him with it.) Roger Allam is so decent and yet has such a light touch. As I said earlier - I would gladly watch a whole show about the Thursday family just going about their day. The lighting and composition of those scenes was top notch, too. There ought to be a law against cliffhangers.

I can't help thinking about the fact that Ray Smuckles was wearing a wig while getting The Commodore from Tina. I wonder if it's the same model?

No the chemistry answer is just wrong. Just because you have sex with someone doesn't mean you have actual chemistry. All kinds of people have sex. Anyone can do it - it's easy, especially if your conventionally attractive tv detectives. What Steed and Mrs. Peel had was irreplaceable. That category should be retired, with just a photo of those two looking at each other, in its place. That changes the total in Mrs. Peel's favor, as it should.

I liked this episode a lot but it felt like conclusion kind of came out of left field. I don't really know how Morse got that Banner was involved (his name was Banner, right? Mr. MP?) but maybe I missed something with everybody muttering. I can put up with the incest but I'd like to know what made Morse suspect that. OTOH, I can't work up much enthusiasm for Morse vs the Masons. I like Shaun Evans in the role and I would watch a whole show devoted to the Thursday household. Also, @yeswedo - Love your avatar! Kimba was a seminal influence for me.
