  1. Not paying enough attention to know for sure who is working with Kelley and Lauren to get out Chris and Anchor man but they are idiots of they don't realize those two will come after anyone else before each other.

I wonder if Chris could possibly win the game and that’s where the controversial ending comes from.  Wins his way back in, gets voted out right away, goes to EOE where he wins his way back in at the final 6, immunity wins his way to the final 4, makes final 3 and wins.  He’s a likable enough guy where I can see people bonding with him on EOE and then voting for him-especially if he’s up against a returning player.

That might be controversial but sounds like something that would help. a little,  redeem this boring season depending on how it goes down.

If the rumors are true, that's why it's a controversial ending.  I had heard that EOE didn't play out how they expected.  Supposedly, they assumed that the castoffs would be attempting to get the other players to quit so they'd have less people to deal with in returning to the game.  Instead, people bonded, and the twist kind of flopped.  In addition, they are able to bond with the potential winner, and totally discount someone who actually managed to stay in the game and make it to the end (which is supposed to be the whole point).

OMG, what a goat rope of an idea

  4. I remembered Survivor was on, but then was watching some stupid rerun and caught the vote, that's it.  Never happened before so, maybe a sign that the season hasn't been super so far.

I noticed the WW face at tribal and was immediately struck by the editing.  Not saying that she is being totally misrepresented and i miss smily the rest of the time but they cut in those reaction shots a lot for tribal and hers were pretty obvious.  Plus she knew she was getting votes so.

So an episode with chicken drama.  I eat meat but would have trouble killing it.  Not sorry if that makes me all the harsh names Wendy has been called, sheesh.

This article, Behind the scenes of a Survivor marooning, was amazing. There's a bit in there about Jimmy Quigley, the guy that actually hides the idols. I'm pretty sure he cleans out the holes and rocks thoroughly. I certainly would!

Really long but some real great info.  There were 2 reward/advantages on the boat?  Plus a floating fishing kit disguised as an advantage?  And no one found them!?!?!?!?!

34 follow boats for the opening boat to island marooning holy cow.  They test everyone to make sure they can swim and have divers on hand.

  6. Oh Aubry
"so how do you feel about returning players?"  Just in case anyone was trying to forget that they were returnees and treat them as just players
"I think you are really a great strategist and a good player.  I like you a lot.  I would love to work with you" to every single tribe mate.

Points for trying to change up her game?  Minus points for it sucking.   I wonder if Joe being so likeable is getting to her, like out of the 2 returnees which will they go for first?  Her obviously, challenges, camp work.  I think she is really feeling the pressure

You can't drown from not being able to do a puzzle.

They aren't going to let anyone drown.   You could certainly pop an artery or something from moving those big heavy block puzzle pieces in the heat though.

  8. Not sure I understand how you can go from EI back into the game and win.  And also be with the jurors?  Oh like all the EI island players get to vote at the end?  That would suck, they didn't see anyone play.

So Wendy is spoiled as a quit.  So does she tough out her sprained ankle, her tribe loses again, chose EI and then quit?  Or just quit from the get go?
Or if you don't choose EI after being voted out is that considered a quit?  Is leaving EI considered a quit?  Maybe not.  Once your original torch is snuffed anything after that should be a quit imo.  So, that would leave she decides to quit rather than being voted out because her injury, challenges etc.

Loved the montage of Aubry saying the same things to each member of her tribe.

In what I found a very ho hum episode (honestly it kept losing my attention) this was hilarious.  The bright point of the night.  Aubry's comment about I hate Kum bya Survivor made me like her just a little bit.  I hate it as well.  "oh lets braid hair" Gah

I wonder if the producers are making a new tribe with the EoE exiles. Is there any doubt Keth will go there?  Maybe once they have enough exiles the third tribe will be reintroduced?

I don't know if it will become an actual tribe later in the game but its certainly taking up air time like a 3rd tribe.

I'm trying to think if there's a Dan on Survivor I've actually liked. I didn't like Dan last season much, hated Dan from Worlds Apart and now this Dan (a.k.a. Wardog), who's like the love child of Dom and Tony, with his "I must control this vote, and if we're not doing what I'm doing, it's wrong."

I've worked with men like this and just....argh.  No self doubt whatsoever, my plan, my ideas, my way is the best way of course and I have no problem forcing everyone else to agree.  TheBossyPuppy

If you can’t swim you don’t belong on Survivor. I still can’t believe this even up for debate.

IDK.  What about people who suck at puzzles?  Thats always big.  Or balance challenges. Or throwing.  Not many are good at all things.  Swimming challenges usually occur early when in tribes.  If your tribe is winning and you are good in the puzzles that come later you are better off being bad at swimming.

So....shaping up for a pagonging?   I hope Wentworth votes out TheBossyPuppy Dan with his "we can use her as a shield" like she isn't playing the game too.
Is it editing or?  that Wentworth seems the huge threat to David?  I mean, does David feel like - "why does no one see me as a threat?  Did my game suck that much?"

Aubry's overplay is really going to boomerang.  They said she lasted a long time in both her seasons but I'm not sure why?  From Joe's perspective that could seem good unless it just keeps highlighting them as returnees.  Which her interrogations about "how do you feel about returnees" certainly did.  Shut up Aubry!

Keith was doing all his yelling while walking wasn't he?  It didn't seem like it took long to make a decision to me.

Probst just seems to get more and more leading and obnoxious both during challenges and tribal.  I mean, to the point he is influencing the game.

For some reason I keep getting the feeling no form of address or reference for this guy will be correct except his full name - probably in all caps.  Not “Ron”, not “Ronnie”, not “Mr. Clark”, not “Lance Armstrong Jr.” even - just RON CLARK.

    (Maybe RONCLARK in a rush)

The fact that there's a Wardog and some people refuse to call him by that is confusing as hell for me. I keep seeing Dan and being like 'who the fuck is Dan?" And as I'm typing this I'm realizing I don't know if the Dan people are talking about is even Wardog lol. Hopefully it'll get easier after a few eps. Or, better yet, Wardog will be gone soon!

Yea, not calling him wardog and absolutely not calling him warthog.  warpuppy maybe.  Dan is fine.

Are Lauren and Kelley really a power couple?  Why? Because they both played soccer?  Power couples are usually in romantic relationships.

Players usually don't start worrying about power couples at the first TC.  There is still plenty of time to get rid of one or both later.

The focus is usually on 1) keeping the tribe strong 2) Keeping players you have a good relationship with or are working with 3) Getting rid of people who make camp life unpleasant.

Voting out Reem fit with all 3 of those criteria.

Plus, she had an alliance of 3, which is much more dangerous than a supposed power couple.

Kelley is a known goodplayer and Lauren seems pretty sharp and fit too.  They were shown as being very tight and since Wendy noticed and thought it was a problem I think we can say beyond a doubt that yes - they are a power couple, power alliance, whatever.  And I think the two fit and smart cuties with sex appeal trump the 3 misfits as a threat.

Not sure I'd have bet against Reem in a fight against any of the other women.

Well, it's Warthog from now on for me.

The A-10 Thunderbolt II, better known as Warthog is an awesome beautiful ugly terrifying flying war machine and do not sully its name with this annoying dude.  My least favorite so far.

There are whole articles about Keith not being prepared. WTF  people.   Did I not hear him say "when I found out I was on Survivor I knew I had to learn to swim, because I didn't know how, so maybe I should go down to the beach and PRACTICE" - as in he learned to swim, as much as he could;  but still wasn't very good at it.  Learning in a pool is a lot different than swimming in the ocean and he knows that.  He was doing ok.  Geez people.

I think Reem had a real point.  If you don't want your stuff moved just say - don't move my stuff.  And while I don't think Reem knew this, UV light is a disinfectant, drying your clothes in the sun is something they teach in survival school.  Where I lost her was her inability to try to turn it around at tribal vs her whole fuck you knee jerk reaction, I was sure she was a New Yorker but she is from Virginia.  But I think she is  strong, does work hard around camp, is willing to help others, i.e learn to swim etc. and would be a loyal alliance member.  I don't have a problem with her she is just very new yorker/rough mouth all bark no bite, even if that isn't where she is from.  I think part of the problem here is that everyone on the tribe was working hard, pretty nice and there were no other obvious choices.  I mean - we are voting you out because you moved my stuff and told me to drink water.  Yep, you, the black kid or the latina.  Sad. It does seem there were several mentions on both tribes of keeping strong challenge players around then going after them.  Which I think is smart.  The most important thing is not to go to tribal pre-merge.  In that case Keith might have been the better choice because he looks muscular but seems sort of gangly?  Too soon to tell maybe.

Am I right that the Wendy/Reem vote split down gender lines?  Seemed like the women voted for Reem and the men for Wendy.  Is there a bro alliance starting to form?  In which case the women should have noticed and hung onto Reem.

Wow with the advantage.  3 choices and has to be used in the next two Tribal Councils.  I sort of home they win the next two rounds.  Just seems like trying too hard to make something happen.  Everything is already going to seem rushed with trying to cover 2 tribes and Extinction Island.

In general I was a bit underwhelmed with the episode.  Its Survivor so of course its good.  But for Survivor it wasn't very good.

  14. Interesting article.  I didn't know that Joe and Sierra Dawn Thomas were living together or that she was in the hospital for a week after with liver and kidney failure.

But more to the point look at the second picture.  He looks sort of gnarly.  There is speculation that he goes to GoII fairly early, stays till the 2nd chance but doesn't make it back in.  His instagram post is sort of emotional, ups and downs, darkness and light.  Probably not anything to do with the game but.

He seems like the rare, humble alpha male.

Really?  Maybe you are being sarcastic I can't tell.

He is proud of himself for being a fire fighter and fire fighters in general, which I agree with but I don't know I would run around saying I'm so proud of myself.  Proud of his dad, Proud of his fathering skills....he sounds like a proud guy.  But then says people who take themselves too seriously are a pet peeve.  Sounds like he is describing himself.

  16. Does everyone who has been on Survivor move to LA?  Ok I know its not totally true.

She annoyed me her first season, can't remember the second but I feel no love only irritation when I think of her.

  17. Thought I'd take a quick look at the reddit mega thread, some random cut and pastes.

The most concrete rumor we have right now on S38 is that it generally was not received well by production and the final outcome is going to be extremely controversial. Since the season was announced, there has also been tons of comparisons being made to Redemption Island (the season). Namely that the producers are trying to get some fan favorites they like a win through a poorly thought out twist.

Hey, guys. I'm here again to bring some info I was told about the game. Again, take this with a grain of salt because I do not full believe this myself. My source has gotten info wrong in the past, but I just want to get this info out so others can make their judgements. As I reported last time, the final six consists of Aubry, Eric, Julie, Kelley, Rick, and an unknown. (counting Eric returning to the game through IoE) I was told conflicting reports that this fifth place finisher is either Lauren or Gavin. Personally, I lean towards Lauren based on the fact Kelley and Lauren follow each other on instagram, so they seemed to be close. My source has also disclosed to me that Aubry was taken to FTC because she was seen as someone who couldn't "finish", whatever that means. I hope you guys can make sense of this, I know it's a bit confusing.

The Extinction Island twist will not be revealed to the entire cast up front. A player will only become aware of the twist once they are voted out. The players remaining in the game will not find out about Extinction Island until the merge when Jeff Probst brings out the eliminated castaways for their first opportunity to win their way back into the game. Think back to the Outcasts twist in Survivor: Pearl Islands to get a sense of how this might work. The winner of the challenge will reenter the game and join the merged tribe. The losers can choose to continue living on Extinction Island or quit.
