I sure hope she doesn’t. DCC standards are a joke. Other professional athletes don’t get warnings for having “thick” thighs, they only get weight warnings if their stamina/performance is affected. She has Always had naturally curvier thighs if you look at past pics of her. I don’t see how they look bad, she has a lovely figure. They actually looked toned. News flash Kelly Judy and Charlotte, not all woman are born as sticks. She’s a good dancer, no reports she’s unfit, and she’s beautiful. Her thighs are not impacting her performance. The level of skinny DCC required is just outrageous and I wouldn’t be surprised if half those girls end up with eating eating disorders.

Where I live masks are compulsory except when exercising, in fact it’s discouraged because it impairs airflow (apart from In low intensity stuff like walking). I’m suprised the cheerleaders have to wear them and don’t blame them for needing a break. It seems performative rather than necessary, if they are social distancing it shouldn’t matter if they wear masks. They are doing doing moderate-high intensity physical activity for hours with a mask, that’s a struggle and actually contrary to health advice (where I am anyway). I am an athlete myself and I don’t think I could be comfortable and not out of breath wearing a mask while dancing.

Do all stars do any dancing or are they appearances only?

Maddie was pretty young when she made the team, wasn’t long after she graduated high school. she’s about 23/24. Tess auditioned when she’d finished college so I think she’s around 27.

Really does Ashlee wear a wig? I never noticed, it’s a bit more obvious on Kat. Is there any pics of Ashlee with her natural hair

Miranda has 4 DCC bridesmaids- Caroline, Lexie and Molly as well (although molly and Lexie were “bridal party” members or something). And I agree Miranda seems lovely, and I like her raising awareness of important issues on instagram, in a similar vein to Hannah.

Tess was asked if she was Native American on her DCC takeover. She said she was Cherokee I thinkkk and another “tribe”. Sorry if that’s the incorrect terminology I’m not from North America.

Exactly, hence why I only stated girls who have spoken about their heritage. Alanna, Lisa and Kristen were featured in a video celebrating Hispanic DCC. From the way the video was conveyed it seemed like these were the only 3 girls who were Hispanic on the team.
-
In Season 14 the Hispanic DCCs were Alanna, Lisa and Kristen. Season before that was just Lacey and Alanna I believe. Doesn’t seem to be much Hispanic representation in DCC. Tbh doesn’t seem to be particularly diverse at all when you compare to other dance teams. Can’t recall there being very many DCCs of Asian background either. On another note I know Tess is Native American, I don’t know of any other Native American DCCs, does anyone know if there has been any others apart from Tess?

Try being Australian 😂 we have so many stereotypes about us portrayed everywhere. It’s not a big deal to me tbh, I don’t find it offensive. It’s just a bit of fun. In Aus the 8 states make fun of each other, like the mainland jokes about people from Tasmania being inbred. It sounds offensive but it’s just a historical joke here, no harm meant by it. I don’t know many Tasmanians who would take it to heart. Every state has something that everyone else will bag them for. I know I can’t speak for Americans but I assumed it’s the same over there and different regions make fun each other, I thought Kat was just having an innocent laugh 🤷🏼♀️

I agree, she seems genuine and funny, and seems really passionate about teaching. Would be tough being both a teacher and DCC. I remember in her panel interview she and others were crying about loved ones who had died and she wiped her eyes and said jokingly “Neil, got any jokes for us?”. I really admired her ability to be witty even when upset and bounce back despite going through extremely challenging times.

I have very limited dance experience, so I’ve asked a similar question before in another thread, except I asked how come some girls who’ve dance on other professional teams struggle with DCC style/picking up choreo. The answers I got said apparently DCC learn a LOT of routines, I think it was 30+ in training camp, so that’s obviously challenging memory wise. Also while the moves may look basic apparently in many routines there’s moves on every count (which differs from a lot of other NFL/NBA teams) so the choreography can be hard to pick up and nail. So it sounds like a fair degree of experience or a lot of natural talent is usually necessary to make the team

Excuse my ignorance, who is that?

Jacie Scott, I think she was a DCC from 2008-12ish? She become A rockette after DCC. Occasionally appeared on the last couple of seasons in alumni stuff and as a guest judge I think.

I like both Amy and Maddie's personalities on and off the show plus Maddie is a star dancer to me. Love watching her, especially in hip hop like her solos and some DCC performances. I think Amy has beautiful hair and a lovely smile, and I love Maddie's hair and eyes. Despite this, I could still agree Gina's a good choice for point, but others have pointed out some reasons she's not- her makeup stops her from being eye-catching in the right way and that she embellishes the dance to the point where it looks too different to the others. So I don't necessarily think it was worry about pissing off senior vets. Also see below- I was going to point this exact thing! It wasn't some conspiracy no one saw coming that Maddie and Amy got point. In the future people like Caroline, Amber, Rachel W will get their chance to move further up.

It’s in the “Kitty Carter suprises girls in important rehearsal” clip on youtube

Exactly, and Judy had the audacity to say "we encourage group leaders/vets to give corrections". What Cassie said was NOT a correction it was a nasty accusation. I believe Taylor handled it very well, she remained professional while defending herself. Then another vet started ripping into her, she had long black hair and dark skin, anyone know who that was? She didn't seem nice, telling Taylor to just say "yes m'am" and that she was giving excuses. Whatever poster here said it's a hive mentality was spot on. Disgraceful this was allowed by Kelli and Judy.

Her calling out/accusing that rookie In season 6 in front of everyone was completely savage. That was enough to make me dislike her. There’s no sugar coating, “the show twisted it” about that situation- the words that came out of her mouth were unfair and wrong and did nothing but humiliate the rookie. Doubt that would’ve been tolerated in other professional sporting environments.

She commented on Jinelles engagement post congratulating her. I wonder if her views have changed, or if she was simply being polite

DCC Q&A: Mysteries of the DCC World

I didn’t think of that, thanks! Good reminder, I should take it with a grain of salt. In Kat’s case though, she has said herself she struggled to pick up choreography, so that was part of what got me thinking. The show could have made this issue seem worse than it is though. thanks for your responses 🙂 -
as a Christian myself, yep I believe the bold is probably true 😂if someone believes LBGTQI ppl’s are “less desirable”/wrong, that’s THE definition of homophobia- “dislikes or shows prejudice against homosexuals”. (I’m aware many Christians (like myself) and other religious ppl do not have an issue with being gay these days). Just a reminder homophobia does not have not be blatant bullying or hatred. Yes, People are entitled to their opinion. If Rachel is going to publish them on a public platform, it’s fair game. Some people’s opinions may be that they find Rachel’s views not in line with their own values, and think they are archaic, offensive and homophobic. Great analogy, couldn’t agree more. For those wondering about where the idea Rachel is homophobia came about- Rachel made a post on Instagram/twitter about her views on homosexuality. This wasn’t About an unproven accusation By an “insider”.
-
Wait so did she say that her belief is that being gay is not a positive thing? Coz it seems self-explanatory that the Bible does not espouse positive views towards homosexuality.

DCC Q&A: Mysteries of the DCC World
perrie97 replied to bigskygirl's topic in Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making The Team
Hello! I;ve been trying to find the answer to this question, hopefully this is the right forum to ask it-I’m not from the US, so could anyone could shed light on how DCC are place compared to other sideline cheerleaders? I assumed past experience for another team said a lot about dance ability, but I’ve learnt that’s not always the case. e.g. I’m confused about the fact Kat danced for Hornets for 4 years yet she struggled in TC & only just made the team. Savvy also came from NY jets yet coming into her 4th year has not been a group leader or in showgroup and seemed to struggle with memory in TC. Is the DCC style and choreography unique (I know the kick lines unique but these girl seem to struggle with more than that)? Are there more dances to remember? Do more girls try out for DCC? I’m also suprised that Alexis, Alanna and Briana, while they are all clearly decent, danced professionally previously but never made Showgroup and don’t seem to be stand outs to judges & TBTB. Sorry if this a dumb question! -
Initially I assumed she was as on her DCC insta takeover she talked about “gods plan” and the gifts god had given her. But after reading some follow up posts I’m learning that could be the norm in the south. tbh I’m from Australia where it’s not the norm to speak about faith in that way publicly, no one really has bible quotes in their insta bios etc. So I’m probs guilty of wrongly assuming anyone who talks like Kat must be devout/have a deep faith.
