  1. Have done, and I still don’t see it that Amy is passive aggressive and smug 🤷🏼‍♀️She comes across well spoken, positive and authentic IMO on the podcast.
  2. Is Jesus everyones homeboy 🤣 hahaha I love that! I wonder this about the religious thing too- quite a few of the other girls seem very religious as well (Amy, Rachel. W, Taylor P, Kat to name a few), so I'm confused about why that would make Kristin stick out/be a reason other's find her odd? Is her faith a bit different to other girl's or something?
  3. I known many think Maddie is too boring to be point. It's interesting, because I really like her! I think maybe who's boring and who's entertaining is subjective. I find Maddie was a great choice for point- she has some sass and spark when she dances, and I always found her solos really entertaining, they really show her talent. If this season was going ahead as normal: I'd hope Maddie & Gina rotated point. Others I think could be point/in the diamond would be Ashlee, Lexie & Caroline. If Bridget, Hannah & Heather were still around, any of them would could've made good points. In the future, I think Amanda would be perfect for point. She's the full package imo- fun to watch, great technique, gorgeous smile & has a lot of power & punch.
  4. I'm don't...I don't really see how one would conclude what's in bold, especially given Amy isn't featured much on the show. Judging by social media, the fact she's besties with Kash (who seems genuine and friendly) and the fact when she was shown on the show she was often helping/encouraging others, she appears to be a friendly & kind person. I don't see any evidence that she is passive aggressive or bitchy? She seems well liked by her team mates, probably makes a good leader. A note on her talent, the fact we barely saw her in her rookie year shows she didn't struggle much. I can understand people find her vanilla & question why she's point, fair enough. But, she's a very well trained dancer and pretty reliable and picks up the DCC style well.
  5. I agree Brennan's isn't incredible, but she's solid. There's weaker dancers than Brennan- apart from Lily and Meredith, there's Kat and Kristin too. Not saying they're terrible but I think Brennan is more solid and experienced. Also, someone like Savannah seems a bit weak in the DCC style, but seems to be a beloved teammate, as others on this forum have pointed out her personality is probably a great asset to the squad and is good for team morale. I would say the same for Brennan, she seemed very popular and a mature good leader. It's worth keeping those people around.
  6. From what I've seen, she seems like an intelligent person with some depth, I respect and admire her dedication to raising awareness and improving accessibility for people with deafness. Having said that- Wish I could like this ^ 100 times, pretty important point...
  7. I’m not from the US, so I was wondering if anyone could shed light on how DCC are place compared to other sideline cheerleaders? I assumed past experience for another team said a lot about dance ability, but I’ve learnt that’s not always the case. e.g. I’m confused about the fact Kat danced forHornets for 4 years yet she struggled in TC & only just made the team. Savvy also came from NY jets yet coming into her 4th year has not been a group leader or in showgroup and seemed to struggle with memory in TC. Is the DCC style and choreography unique (I know the kick lines unique but these girl seem to struggle with more than that)? Are there more dances to remember? Do more girls try out for DCC? I’m also suprised that Alexis, Alanna and Briana, while they are all clearly decent, danced professionally previously but never made Showgroup and don’t seem to be stand outs to judges & TBTB. Sorry if this a dumb question!
  8. You hit the nail on the head. While dancers' uniforms are revealing, their primary purpose is to dance and dance well. Little girls watch and look up to them. The calendar feels different for me too. The primary and only purpose is to pose provocatively and look provocative and sexy. While young girls may watch the DCC dance at games, would they really be purchasing the calendars? No, it's for a different audience that some, like Lauren, may not be comfortable with. Also sounds like she wanted to put nursing first, someone made a good point that she didn't want her patients to see this. I think that's fair, DCC is her part time job and hobby, nursing is a long term career.
  9. People are disgusted at Kelli's bodyshaming, but people also say- -"Kat is the least attractive" -"Lisa doesn't have the DCC body" -"VK looks like a horse" How is that any better than Kelli cutting people for their weight/looks? I understanding pointing out potential favoritism, like VK not getting weight warnings while others get cut, that's not an attack, that's a valid point. However, in other instances like with lisa, isn't it a good thing that despite Kelly cut girls with "big thighs" in the past, that she has now allowed some diversity of body size into the team? Why is it a bad thing a shorter, stockier girl like Lisa made the team? Same with selecting Maddie as point, who might not have the traditional "DCC look", and who wouldn't have been point years ago. why is that spoken about like it's a bad thing? It's nice to have someone as point who doesn't look the same as all the other girls, and who is curvier, to show you don't have to be a stick thin blonde barbie to be a good dancer and to succeed. I am by no means defending Kelli, that's not my intention. I'm no fan of her and disagree with her recent actions. I have no feelings about VK or Lisa either. I just wanted to point out the things said here can be just as harmful as what Kelli is criticised for. Criticizing people's dance and personality is one thing, pointing out double standards like VK's weight gain and not being cut is fair, but to attack girl's based on their appearance, particularly something they can't change, is exactly what Kelli does and she has harmed the women she's worked with immensely.
