  1. No more crazy low price homes.
I  wouldn’t have painted over the original brick wall in the living room.

In one scene, Erin looked like a hobo

i wish they would cut out Erin & her “art” projects. I bet that woman’s chimes cost a fortune in a store but they looked liked junk.
‘Turned out nice but I would have picked the other home.

From Part 1: Doctors and social workers definitely failed Gypsy. At least the pediatrician tried by calling DFS and asking Gypsy if she wanted to tell him anything, or at least says he did though Gypsy denies this, and admits he failed her. The neurologist didn’t even try to report his suspicions

These shits should have had their medical licenses revoked.

She did not say inherit. She hopes she gets his accent by listening to him

I just went back and listened to it. She said “I do hope she gets your accent. She is half Scottish.”. I understood that to mean inheriting it..because she is a dingbat.

I know many people who were raised in families where one parent  was of a different nationality and not one of them started speaking with an accent just because they heard it in  the one parent .

Sarah is an idiot I stand by my first impression.

Some times the shared driveway is a flag lot, where a house was built on the back of another property,.  The new house either has a shared driveway, or a permanent easement for their driveway to the street.  But the driveway is the only access to the road.   It's shaped like a flag, and the flag pole is the driveway to the street, and the house is on the flag.

I've seen shared driveways go very bad.    All it takes to go wrong is for one homeowner to park in the driveway and block it, and the other person can't get out.   I've even heard of shared garages, where each person has a side of the garage, without a wall between the sides.

I wouldn't touch a property with a shared garage or driveway.

A shared driveway is hell. We had one in a house we rented. The shared neighbor was a pissy old man who complained about my child playing basketball in our backyard on weekends & after school. To punish us, he put a fence down the middle . I suppose he got an ok from codes, no idea , but it was pretty tight. We had no problem not hitting  the fence since we were young & better drivers but old man crotchety pants kept dinging his car. It was hysterical! POS people abound.  Never buy a home with a shared drive.

I watched this show when it was on and yes the writing and acting was horrible. And yet I couldn't stop watching.  What season are you watching @chediavolo?  Every time you think OK this show can't get any worse it most certainly does in fact get worse.

I think I’m on the next to the last season. This show is absolutely ridiculous. How in the hell did it get renewed so many times?
Did they ever mention that Amy’s baby may have Down’s syndrome. He looks like he may? I tend to nod off now & then.

And what was going on in the actress who plays Adrian’s life that between 2 seasons she looks like she aged 10 years.  What a horrible example for young teens this show is. Was there much controversy or hatred from parents when it was on?

I went to college with a bunch of richies whose parents made them take part-time jobs to pay for fraternity/sorority expenses, or books, or clothes they wanted but didn't need.  Maybe it was something like that?

A lot of these richies  think this one excursion into acting like people who have to work at menial jobs for a living, will make up for a lifetime of privilege & inherited wealth. 😡

Considering the years she's put into the show, and how odd things can be BTS from what we've heard alone, I don't doubt Sherri looks at the situation with some disappointment. They've kept Ron over her, someone with years of experience with these characters, and the show is clearly suffering for it, but she's "just a scab" now. Ouch :( That's not ideal.

I don't know if she retired willingly from DAYS years ago or was phased out. Maybe she was done with it all and doesn't care much anymore. Maybe she was waiting for another turn at bat. But I'd guess for a creative person to pour years of their life into characters and storylines and see so much of it go sideways once others took over? That's gotta hurt. I hope for her sake that it doesn't, but something tells me it does.

...so I'm catching up on last week's episodes. It was an awful holiday so I wasn't really in the mood for bells and all that stuff, but there were some nice moments.

The Doug and Julie moments with the tree - and those glorious flashbacks! - were so appreciated. It did look like Doug was about to totally lose it at the end, though, and that was rough to see. I hope the crew applauded for them.

We've had some weird stuff happen during holiday episodes...but that kind of scene - with two vets cuddling up and just savoring the moment - is what drives home the magic of the season.

The tree is still a rather mobid thing, with all the names of the departed and all, but I like the general sentiment.

Nicole telling Holly she's right to be sad with Mommy having left her alone on her birthday, and Mommy having lost a baby, and then Mommy kidnapping a child...was not really comforting. Jesus, Show, you think just by listing that stuff it covers for the inexcusable fact that you left Holly totally alone on the bleakest Xmas/birthday of her life? So weird.

Can we take a poll: Is Suzanne wearing a wig permanently? It doesn't matter at all, she's lovely, but I'm still curious. I know she said she had her hair cut off during her medical event a few years ago and had to wear a wig afterwards...but that much hair, at her age, even with hairpieces and hairspray? I find it hard to believe. I feel like a wig is just easier. Right?

Melinda has gotten the weirdest arc lately but I rather enjoyed her and Wendy chatting. Melinda's missing her dead daughter, Wendy needs advice about following her parents or her heart...smart idea bringing them together.

It is hard to believe a woman that age & one who has a health condition could have that much hair. I guess it’s possible but would be very rare. As someone who has lost a lot of volume since menopause I am constantly jealous of other women’s hair. Though I know the use of wigs & extensions is rampant in actresses.   Still.
it does look like a wig. Sometimes you can see where her sideburns should be and it looks bald.

  8. This was terrible. Majors is a horrible actor what was with the stutter? Took me out of the whole show. Plus, it really did not even feel like an episode of Loki hardly saw any Loki! Please do not do this again.

  9. Well, Cary had his issues for sure with those horrible parents of his especially his father. So I can understand why he was the way he was, but the one thing I can never forgive him for is giving away Diane’s dog. And I don’t understand why she didn’t demand to know where it was, and bring it back. I would have left my husband on the spot if he ever did such a despicable thing

Forgot to mention this before but, Johnny, how NOBLE of you to use your influence to help Paulina jump the emergency room queue.  Entitled rich kid behavior at its best, am I right?  I'm SURE the parents sitting in the crowded emergency room with a very sick child would agree that you were completely justified in pulling staff away for what was clearly defined as a non-emergent case - i.e. she shouldn't have been in an emergency room in the first place.

Yes, that really pissed me off. She should have gone to an urgent care center or her doctor. You mean to tell me that when the mayor calls her doctor she can’t get an appointment?  I call bull shit.

My God, let's talk about that couch, by which I mean let's talk about the actual piece of furniture. Did someone saw one of the couch's leg shorter, thereby causing it to tilt and thus every guess to keep sliding to the right? Or did Cher smell bad? It was driving me crazy, and the fact Graham called it out only made it slightly better.

But seriously, that's a lot of star power when Tom Hanks is third billed. He has gotten a bit "ok, grandpa, let's get you to bed" in his recent appearances, but he is certainly well-meaning. And it probably says a lot about his relative lack of ego that he let himself be third billed, instead of only coming on by himself in the middle of the show as some guests do. And the Clooney joke was well-timed.

Graham saying what we were all thinking in response to Cher's story about the difficult director she worked with: "We are all going to look it up. About the boy, you say..."

A quick Google search confirms what most of us, including Graham Norton have assumed. That the movie was Mask and the Director in question was Peter Bogdanovich.

  12. I didn’t like this show when it first started but it’s gaining on me  .it’s different which is a nice change from the same old same old we usually say. But it does not seem like anyone is watching it if you can go by all the emptiness here on this thread. I can’t imagine that once the new shows start showing up, this is going to stay around .

Seeing Cher just made me sad.  Her face is so plastic that most of it doesn't move when she talks and it's stuck in a permanent sad look.

Tom and Julia were both great, but I like both of them and they can usually do no wrong in my eyes.  I only know Timothée from Dune (part 1) but he seems pretty cool.  I just can't believe they're rebooting Willy Wonka again, but that's not his fault and I've heard he's very good in it.

Cher looks otherworldly and not in a in a good way. Looks like her neck, chest & hands were sandblasted. I can’t stand Julia Robert’s but I did like how she defended Timothy Chalamet against Chet’s (is anyone more full of herself than this woman? And I think she may have the touch of memory loss.  I don’t believe her story about them not being popular or known in the United States had to move to Britain came back and people thought they were British. How full of shit is she because I was very very young when they first started but I do know people who were a little older and remember their beginnings and that wasn’t it)  accusations that no one does a good job of singing for another person in a movie.  I heard Timothy say that this is more of a movie about the younger Willy Wonka, and not really a Charlie and the chocolate factory as Gene Wilder did and I hope so because why redo/ruin a classic?

On the Chicago to Atlanta episode, I was very impressed with the investments and business model of the house hunters.    I really liked the third house, with the separate area for the mother with some improvements, but it's not always possible to add a kitchen to the basement area for that house.

The first house was OK, but will need a lot of work to make it work for the family when the mother moves in.

I pity that poor woman when her mother moves in. I could not stand her. What a horrible personality.

The moment he mentioned "deregulation" and that said deregulation started in the 1980s, I was like, "...why am I not surprised?" That decade sure has a lot to answer for in regards to why things are the way they are now.

    One big reason : Reagan.

  16. Watched parts 1 & 2 so far. Depressing. Interesting about the role of the govt in brainwashing etc  we really are not the nation the government tries to make us believe we are. Conspiracy theories  are not always crazy

Also it really makes me  feel sad for his first born Julian. So far he hasn’t been mentioned. It’s always Sean, Sean, Sean. For all he tried to do, you can’t forget John was a terrible father to his first son.
