    I’ve seen much better dancers on the streets of NY.  No way is Dele  getting anccepted into Juilliard. Abishola continues to be a nasty shrew until she breaks down and gives in a little. She threw her son out of the house, and this being the sitcom that it is, luckily he found refuge with his relatives and lucky for her. He didn’t have to go out into the streets and be mugged or killed, or never seen  again didn’t think about that, did you Abishola?. . And Bob is a big P. He needs to stand up for himself a little more instead of letting Abishola walk all over him. They could have a conversation without yelling, and without the wife acting like she controls everything and the husband bowing down to her like a little mouse.

    What a lunatic. I can't imagine how Missy stayed with him for real after that.

    She stayed with him because she’s  a “righteous”  lunatic also.  And being homophobic goes along with it.

    I can’t believe they are touching the Horton family home. the set we have watched since the 60s. It’s hateful.
    They had a pretty good close-up of the arsonists face even with the mask on you could really see his eyes and mouth but I couldn’t place it. it definitely wasn’t Xander and I wouldn’t in a million years expect it to be. Maybe it was Everett? Now  Xander is going to be blamed for one or both of these crimes done today.

    I don’t know if it’s because I’ve been watching this for decades and that I am not young anymore but I absolutely abhor the “romantic” 🤢 scenes.  everything from the loud smacking wet kissing to the copulating in bed.  I just don’t see the need for it. I mean are there any younger people watching the show that really enjoy watching the so-called romance and sex? I’d much rather see some family/ personal drama like it used to be in the “old days”. I’m actually more interested in the Pawn storyline and whatever Steve is hiding. I miss the old days/Days.   I fast-forward through so much of this now it’s sad.

    I've only watched the first episode so far but it sounds like I'm going to have a lot to talk about after I see the second one later today, LOL.

    I think the assistant is probably provided by the show so she takes what they give her.  

    I haven't seen her anywhere since the old show ended and I'm struck with how much her appearance has aged.  I hate to say I think her "look" is aging her more.  That hair is almost over the line into wacko territory.  At least trim it back to where it used to be.  She really can't see herself AT ALL.

    I don't know what caused the daughter's weight gain - it may have been discussed here or online somewhere but I forget now.  She's been that heavy for a while now.

    I often wonder if she has every person she knows sign an NDA not to disclose anything about her or risk a lawsuit.  I haven't looked recently but there are a lot of people online claiming to have had readings with her or know people who know her who say she is a phony.  I remember one YouTube where people said that at her group readings she was wrong most of the time but they were heavily edited for TV to show the times she was right.

    Her hair is already in wacko territory. I guess she’d rather have her brand than look better than she does. I don’t know. Is it even possible to have everyone you know sign a nondisclosure agreement?  I mean that’s probably just if you’re getting money? how can they stop anyone from talking about the truth or what you believe is the truth from childhood? This is a crowded area there have to be people that know the truth and it’s just driving me crazy because no one is talking like, why is that?

    please watch the second episode and add some Snark!😃

    Should we talk about the new show here!?  I’ve got a lot of “without pity” (when this forum was better and not so sensitive to put it nicely) to speak!😂

    I watched the first two. Not liking the daughter. Besides her lack of personality she doesn’t want to move because she would lose the free help with the baby. BTW , Is she on meds that have caused the tremendous weight gain? That has to be hard to deal with. I felt bad when they were doing the yoga on the scarves & she was afraid it wouldn’t hold her.    She & the husband are in the majority of homeowners in the last few decades who are ruining what was left of the original homes & landscape of Long Island.. it wasn’t a looking home but it didn’t belong there. . Tear down a home that has been there for 100  years or so & put up a Mc mansion. 
    I still think Teresa is a phony but I’d like to hear from childhood friends & acquaintances because there are times that I do wonder! Why haven’t any come forward? 🤔.  Her hair is just horrible looking but I guess like Lucy, who looked like a clown, it’s her trademark.  Why is her assistant tour person about 20 years old? Wouldn’t a 55 year old woman want to be around someone she could relate to while on the road?  I do love that she lives next to her parents. Old school Italian ❤️

     Did anyone else think Alex was going to get chomped on by a shark as she frolicked in the water?     I liked this episode okay, except I can’t watch the school girl scenes.  It’s too cruel and I can’t bear it.  
     

    Based on where it’s going….I’m not sure this series is for me.  I powered through 1883, but I’m not inclined to do it this time, though I adore Mirren and Harrison.  Seeing them suffer so….not for me.  I will check out Yellowstone and see if that appeals to me.  Maybe, I’ll return to this in Feb.  
     

     

    I was praying they would both be attacked by a shark or an another predator after they came back on land. Killing off the beautiful animals because they are “maneaters” . F*** you Spencer. Though he is eye candy it’s impossible for me to root for him. Agree about all the female nudity also.

    The stuff in Africa continues to be ridiculous. Hyenas eat their kill, they even eat their babies if another animal kills it. They don't kill for sport. That is what humans do. Spencer is also wrong that the animals in Africa don't run away after knowing what human beings are. They know how destructive humans are, they will not stick around. The lions and hyenas would not go after two people up a tree when there is a huge elephant on the ground. They eat whenever they can, they don't waste energy hunting when there is food available. 

    The cinematography in this show is so beautiful, Taylor Sheridan should stick to that and forget about writing because that part is, at best, meh. Spencer and Alexandra exchange platitudes, then grab each other to kiss. More platitudes, more kissing. It is a never ending dialogue of nothing at all. Just pay attention to what they said. Nothing has real meaning.

    Cut to Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, and the Spencer/Alex scenes look even worse. Ford and Mirren make it so easy, even with the bad writing and the - again - platitudes. It is not even chemistry, it is simply good acting. They have chemistry because they can act the characters. I hope we get more Harrison Ford in flashbacks.

    Most ridiculous part (tough one with so much Africa in the episode): Spencer and Alexandra up on the tree, Spencer is shooting like a maniac, Alexandra screams, he shushes her. Seriously? Don't you think the gunshots are loud enough? 

    I am also annoyed by 'women take her clothes off, men only their shirt'. Does Jack have sex wearing his pants? Breasts, butts, and partial front nude are for women only, men only show nipples? I am not interested in nudes and sex scenes but the objectification of women is old stuff, it should not be like this anymore.

    Laughable (although maybe true to history): the very clean sheets and the white (supposedly) silk blouse in the parched African clearing. No dust, who is washing those sheets and keeping them so nice? Oh, the colonized African people. 

     

    I just started watching this shit show & 100% agree. I am SICKENED by the glorifying “macho-ness” of the animal killings. And are they justifying it because they were “man killers”? BS. Hunting beautiful wild animals was & still is a f-king horrendous display of false bravery . I hate this show so far .  This Taylor Sheridan had serious issues.

    Thank you for saying this, the actress that plays Maddie is just terrible. And Mimi Rogers is absolutely beautiful as a real woman. She’s a wonderful actress also.

    Having the design/woodworking college named for them is quite the honor. Very moving, as if someone started chopping onions in here. Of course, I'd also just learned the Lions won. My late Dad had season tickets for (losing) years so that felt like a big deal, too. (I couldn't watch, afraid I'd jinx them;-) 

     

    Good luck having 20 or 30 people over at a shot, entertaining students in the front room, etc. etc. with a newborn baby! 
    The place came out pretty nice. Not a bad place to live rent free!

    I agree absolutely excellent show with great chemistry between the Olyphant & Goggins.
    Don’t watch Justified: City Primeval. It will make you sick. Such utter crap on so many levels.

She was at least 18 and showed agency in her choices. While it's a huge age gap, she was an adult, and it never creeped me out. 

    I agree , it was her choice to be with both much older men. So obviously, she digs it. she was of legal age and free to love whoever she chose. I don’t know the whole backstory, but if she pursued the men, then I see no problem in ..it the other way around & yes , it can still feel a little skeevy. But I’m no snowflake and these things happen, and I’m not going to get myself in a tizzy about it. There’s so many more important things to be concerned about,  she was not a child.

    “Costuming/Hair: I love Marilyn’s brightly colored shirts. They are putting Joel in more sweaters and fewer shirts and ties. It’s a good look. I wish Ed had a better coat than that leather jacket. Maggie’s hair is growing out and is very flattering. Chris’ hair/beard just look scraggly. “

    i’ve always hated Maggie‘s short haircut. Some women can pull off a pixie cut and some cannot, she can’t. Her hair and her clothes make her look like a 14-year-old boy. I also cannot stand the actress because of her personal beliefs,  so I can’t cut her any slack.

    Unrelated, but I saw a YouTube video where a couple and their child were moving and they hired a service to pack all of their belongings for them. That just icks me out. I don't want some bare-handed stranger touching my dishes and cups and linens and clothing. I would have to wash everything I own before using it. 

    And how many things go missing? With the way things are today not being able to find good help I don’t trust anyone to do anything correctly. I certainly wouldn’t have strangers going through my items and packing them up for me.

    I have enjoyed Adam and Eve much more this time around. First time, I found them both super annoying. Maybe I've softened as Adam Arkin passed away this year. 

    Just reading up on the behind-the-scenes stuff, I'd forgotten how Turner and Morrow were both kind of a nightmare. 

    Episodes 3-7 of S4 seem to drop the Maggie/Joel dynamic completely, only to pick it back up later. It felt like they were seeing if the show would hold up without Maggie and Joel. Unfortunately, those weren't great episodes. One is Ruth-Ann's terrible son and another is Holling's terrible daughter. Maggie and Joel will they/won't they doesn't really kick into gear again until she takes him home for her grandmother's birthday in S4E14. Then she starts dating Mike.

    The whole season seems to have fits and starts as Morrow was attempting a contract renegotiation and the show was cutting his role. It's messy.

    What is the secret about the location in Greece that Steve won’t disclose interesting… I’m still all about the old time characters. I wish Bo and Hope , etc. were still on. So many of the characters that I remember from when I first started watching decades ago have the left or passed away

    I just can’t quit this show it’s like my family,  most of my real family abandoned me so some of  you know how that goes
