I couldn't tell you the last time I was THIS genuinely shocked 😦

WTF??? Really? After she scoffed at Taylor's affection and was dismissive and sarcastic to him while they were having a "date overnight"?

Also...for someone with PCOS she seems to be able to get pregnant easily.

I thought it was odd that no one seemed to give any consideration to how Mackenzie's 2 boys would feel about only Jaxie getting a special vacation with Grandpa. Like no big deal, obviously she is the favorite.

Also Mackenzie should buckle her seat belt for a bumpy ride with Jaxie at school next year. They were told the child needs structure and decided to send her on a vacation with Grandpa who they predict will feed her junk food and allow her to blow off her homework. Such a fail.

And wow Maci just telegraphing that she wants a divorce. Awful. I actually feel bad for Taylor, he seems like a nice guy.

Yes...to everything you said. Looked to me like Mac and Josh were just looking to get rid of a kid for the summer. How about sending her home with Grandpa for two weeks and then she comes home for structure and getting prepared for school. Nope...two lazy parents that don't have a clue how to parent.

Maci's ambivalence about her marriage was heartbreaking for Taylor. I really felt horrible for him. Maci nagged him relentlessly when she was pregnant with Maverick for him to propose and marry her now she's bored and will barely even kiss him or hold his hand? Wow...she was so cold and sarcastic...even after Taylor said he can't imagine his life if he hadn't ever met her and had children with her. I hope this was just scripted episode with them because if it wasn't I think it's devastating for Taylor.

  3. All I kept thinking in this episode was "this sounds so familiar...just like Anthony Bourdain" then Elliot said he wanted to be just like Anthony Bourdain. Well...he realized that dream! Bourdain was not a great chef/cook. He was OK...he never really was a "chef" he was a line cook at a French Bistro. That's where he really got into drugs...complete after hours drug culture in the restaurant kitchen scene. I would imagine it's ten times worse in Vegas where there is such an abundance of party drugs and other drugs. Elliot seemed like a sensitive sweet guy who needed counseling and help after his girlfriend died and even more after his brother died. Self medicating his pain and anguish just cause more pain and anguish. Glad to see him clean and sober and getting the helphe needed so badly...good decision to stay away from Mom...yikes!

Honestly,  Ken is the poster boy for self defeating actions and attitudes.  He has done absolutely nothing right since the press conference.

Did anyone else find this episide horribly depressing?  It is too real for me,  its how its done nowadays and we are marching closer and closer to facism each and every day.  I had trouble sleeping.

Ken is a loser. And a spoiled brat. All the Logan kids are basically broken and bereft of any kind of basic sense of compassion. Their place in the uber wealthy world they've traveled in all their lives has left them unable to function as decent human beings. The are cruel to each other and are in a constant state of competition with each other for the crown. And everytime Logan annoints someone as successor, or teases it, he pulls the rug out from under them. Roman is an obnoxious rich kid who needs to get his face punched, Shiv seems to be somewhat human at times but her desire to run the store is obvious and she can be a weasel to her siblings also. And Connor? OMG! He's just a pathetic mess. This whole family makes the Lannisters look like saints.

All I could think of when I see the first house in Raleigh was that must have literally been a shack before a flipper did one of the worst flips possible including gray laminate fake floors AND painting the brick of the fireplace and exterior black.

The husband mentioned that he remembered how terrible the neighborhood used to be and I thought that I wasn't surprised.

It reminded me of the third house in LA that was across the street and next door to what looked like heavy duty commercial companies like cement plants. HH tried to hide how industrial the neighborhood was but didn't entirely succeed. During the day you would have had constant heavy trucks as well as parking by the workers and probably food trucks - which may or may not have been bad. 😂

I didn't realize that Raleigh was that expensive in terms of housing. Judging by the literal shack for $450,000 in a gentrifying neighborhood, any housing stock that had been built originally for a middle class person would have been considerably more. And what I mean by middle class is something equivalent to the relatively modest home they bought which was a 3/2.

They didn't mention how far House #2 in Raleigh was because that would have been the most sensible decision - or the equivalent. An older large home in good shape with dated cosmetic finishes which can be upgraded over time.

That specific house didn't have the layout she liked but there must be a lot of those types of houses in the market. I often wonder why a HH doesn't just modify the search slightly - don't like the condo on the ground floor that is below your budget - just get one on a slightly higher floor and pay a bit more. Or conversely they will be shown an over budget penthouse that is otherwise perfect in terms of location and configuration and I think they should have just opted for a slightly lower floor within their budget.

And Aryan Master Race Husband was creepy and the "pod" in the jungle would have been a hard no from me. An outdoor kitchen and living in what is essentially a glass version of a tractor trailer is not my fantasy. Did he come from South Africa because the Germans in that country were really the ones who were the most racist - not that the English were beacons of progressivity but they tended to be the standard imperialist variety.

A lot of Dutch settled in South Africa and were also very active in the slave trade.

  6. When Tulum Nazi asked wifey what she was going to negotiate for him and she said "I gave up my life in LA", I was like "Yes!" This guy was controlling, he wanted what he wanted and didn't give a damn what she wanted and in the end she caved and went to live in that box in the jungle. OMG! All so he could live out some macho hyper masculine dream of living in the wild. That box looked weird and was not near stores, restaurants, doctors or a hospital...getting up every morning and wondering if you were going to be bit by a snake or approached by jaguar seemed very unappealing to me.

I noticed that too. Good for Kristina being over Amber and her bullshit. I think Gary's heart is in the right place with trying to find a way to positively engage Amber in Leah's/their lives, but... it's Amber. She's fucked up. There's nothing her psychiatrist can explain to make it ok. She seriously hopes that therapy for Leah would entail a mental health professional telling Leah that she's got Amber all wrong and that Amber is a great mom who's always been there for her, but Amber has some mental health issues that are totally beyond her control. Those issues somehow make Amber prioritize men over her daughter, blow off visits, and be totally self-involved.

In all fairness, the self-involvement probably is due to Amber's mental illnesses and that's kind of the root cause of the other behaviors. BUT "I'm an asshole because I'm mentally ill, so everyone just has to accept it and excuse all of my assholeish behavior" doesn't really work, especially with a child. Amber's idea of "resolving things" is to make Leah/Gary/Kristina understand that Amber is Mentally Ill, so whatever she does is ok and their role is to unconditionally support and kowtow to her. Gary's idea is to somehow make Amber a functional adult/parent who gives a fuck about her daughter. They'll never be on the same page. Gary needs to focus on supporting Leah in understanding and accepting that her birth mother will never care about her the way she should and moving forward positively however she can. That's a very tall order which leaves little/no bandwidth for trying to make Amber feel better about being an asshole.

Do people who already have two kids really go on "babymoons"? It was so weird hearing Cate go on about how they won't have any time for themselves after the baby comes when-- they already have two young kids. Obviously, those kids will get less attention when there's a newborn in the house, so how about having a "parentingmoon" during which they give the kids extra attention in anticipation of them having to adjust to their baby sister? No? Too child-focused? I can't imagine how stressful it is for two people who have no jobs to contemplate having to care for their infant (who isn't even a boy!). My heart goes out to them.

Speaking of two parents, zero jobs, I am riveted by the ongoing saga of How Will Maci and Taylor Organize Picking Up and Dropping Off Their Three Kids for School and Activities? Hopefully, MTV will do a spinoff show focusing on that exclusively. I didn't even understand what Maci's alleged beef was. Does she feel like it's a parenting failure if anyone but her or Taylor picks the kids up from school? Why? People with jobs have to rely on others picking up/dropping off their kids all the time. Are they all substandard parents? What damage does it do to kids to have a non-parent pick them up from school? Is it greater than the damage that having their privacy sold on MTV does? I hate Maci.

Tyler and Cate's kids seem bored. They're either whining and rolling around on the couch or floor or wandering around aimlessly with nothing to do. Tyler and Cate seem disengaged, unplugged from their kids. They don't seem to do anything with the girls and spend more time complaining about their lack of contact or time with Carly then actually doing things with the kids they have.

Mac's self described dirty house looked a lot better than Maci's cluttered compound. It looked like Home Goods barfed up an entire store in Maci's mansion. Weird argument between Maci and Taylor. She said something like their whole thing is being there for their kids. I guess that means you aren't allowed a sick day and you have to be a servant to your kids? She has control issues and the life coach lady was useless.

Looks like Gary's wife is sick of being Saint Kristina and I can't blame her. I didn't follow the Instagram drama that closely but didn't Amber blame her for Leah not wanting a relationship complete with home wrecker name calling? And then she either didn't apologize or "apologized" and that's why Leah and Amber can barely be in the same room with her? Not sure that's how it went down but that's my impression. In the lead up to the therapy session Gary said something about Amber saying things out of line and then apologizing and then they (Kristina and Gary) apologizing. Why would they apologize? It seemed like he was placating her as usual. It must be maddening for Kristina if that's the case. They should leave the show but Gary seems pretty locked into it.

Gary saying they apologized was one of the more outrageous things he's said in quite awhile. Why the hell would they have to apologize to Amber??? Gary placates and enables Amber...also he is codependent with her. Kristina is in a tough spot but she needs to make a stand and tell Gary that he needs to stop all this nonsense with Amber and set boundaries once and for all. Gary will never quit this show...he likes the money too much.

Stuff like this is the reason I stopped watching this show about a month ago. Haven't missed it at all. Chris Christie's rehab tour is nauseating. And of course, Joe and Mika love this guy and don't question him or push back at all when he says stuff that is just political word salad. Good lord. This description had me rolling my eyes so hard I gave myself a headache. a babymoon?   Is that the midwest's version of a baby sprinkle? Btw, 'baby sprinkle' immediately makes me think of a baby peeing on one. For that matter a 'babymoon' conjures up a little butt. Maybe there's something wrong with me.

Gary going to therapy to hear alllllll about Amber's many diagnoses is something I think Amber will really love as it makes her the center of all attention and highlights her victimhood.  Poooooor Amber. Ugh.

Watching Mackenzie parent her father when she completely fails at parenting her own kids annoys me for some reason. I like her dad but not Mackenzie with her dad so that's a plotline I am not looking forward to seeing. And it will doubtless include more Odes to My Dead Mother.

Cheyenne giving birth just reads her entire family and friends paying homage to the wonder that is Miss Cheyenne.

Why do I watch this show again?

"Babymoons" are the latest "thing" with celebrities and rich people. Usually during the sixth month of pregnancy couples go to some relaxing resort/beach and spend a few days just enjoying each other before baby is born. Along with gender reveal parties and co-ed baby showers, this seems to be the new "in" thing to do. Cate was way too far along to go anywhere and a trip to PR or Hawaii was just absurd. These two are the biggest nudniks on the show

Oh Emm Gee, I'm glad I didn't have coffee in my mouth when I read this!😄

I know many of us have logged serious couch time in the last 22 months but Amber has been on the couch for the entirely of this series.  I have NO idea how she survived prison where I imagine there are no couches and they don't allow someone to sit on one for two years.    The thing is I think she is just fine with the situation.  Kids/no kids, high/sober, boyfriend/no boyfriend it doesn't seem to matter; she's not leaving the couch.

I don't know why Gary thinks he needs to go to Amber's doctor "understand Amber's mental illness" any more than he already does.  Read a book Gar.  Oh and to stay snarky, I had a chuckle when I saw the signage outside her doctor's office:  Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Exactly...why the hell is she seeing a shrink that specializes in child and adolescent psychiatry??? She's a grown ass woman with adult issues. I just don't understand why Gary is placating her by going to her therapy session...they aren't together anymore! I totally get why Kristin feels that (again) Gary is putting Amber before her and his kids. He owes her nothing. She will never understand why Leah holds so much animosity towards her...she's a malignant narcissist. Add that one to her list of mental illnesses that she uses to excuse her shitty behavior. Gary needs to tell her that Leah isn't ready to jump back into a relationship with her right now and that he isn't going to be pushing her to do so. She has a lot of hurt and anger about Amber's behaviors, poor choices that she put before her own daughter and the online bullying that Amber has engaged in that has hurt Leah and Kristina...so it's best for Amber to work on herself and let Leah work on her feelings. Perhaps in time they can reconnect. Goodbye!

Little Miss Control Freak shows her ass tonight.  I think Taylor left because he didn't want to say what he was really thinking on camera. I'd be so pissed if my partner pulled that crap on me. Maci won't get out of bed so Taylor makes a very very very minor decision about picking up his OWN child and Maci gets pissed because he didn't 'run it by her first'. She is so in the wrong here. Unless there is some reason Taylor should not be picking up any of the kids (drunk, loaded, suspended license, etc) then he doesn't need any reason at all to make a safe arrangement for Jayde's pick up on one day when Maci felt ill and didn't get out of bed. Seriously, this woman just pushes my buttons.  The MTV lifestyle money is the only reason I can see that they are still together. Like last week when she was hugging him and didn't show the affection you'd give someone who wasn't your husband. It's like it's Maci's world and she will judge you and decide if you are worthy of her attention and allowed to live in it.

To me, this seemed very scripted. There is no storyline for these two anymore now that Ryan and company are no longer on the show so the producers have to come up with some kind of drama. The shooting PTSD has run its course so why not have a faux argument about picking up Jayde from school. Yawn fest. Even his phone call to Maci's friend seemed scripted...she was way too happy to interupt her day to pick up Maci's kid. And I'm calling them out on this...99% of public schools in this country have strict rules about pick ups. You can't just randomly have someone pick up your kid from school without notification to the main office at school and then you have to sign in and in some cases show ID. Some schools even have a 24 hour in advance pick up notice...everything about Taylor and Maci seems contrived and fake.

I don’t buy that Mitch’s kid asked his mom if his dad’s  old friends would be at his memorial….kids don’t think about stuff like that. Plus, the kids knew the friends were gone. And,  if they did say it, that’s when mom says it’s  a private service.

The ex showing up at the network where he was ousted….no way.  And where were the kids at that thing..was that the memorial?  Wife allowed Martin Short character to speak? No way.   And why would Alex have any thought that she had a right to attend?  No…just no…all of that was so off, imo.  And to walk into a room late and call attention to your speech…..uninvited….hell no, that’s  crazy town.

Does Bradly have ZERO knowledge about drug addiction?  Some people say anything to get people into rehab. Would it kill it to do that in the rehab parking lot?  The goal is to save the addicts life.  Why pick the parking lot to get antagonistic?  Sort out vacation plans after the addict detoxes and is thinking more clearly.  Someone in her position should have a little knowledge on this. Plus, she could afford to get a professional opinion or at least google a little advice on it.  Was that money from her brother that he returned?

Why were there a few people in the studio wearing masks?

Mask wearing was not really commonplace until late March/early April as I recall. There was a shortage of PPE and N95 masks were nowhere to be found...people were asked not to buy them and allow for essential workers and healthcare facilties to have access to them first. Even cloth masks were not widely available at the time. Where I live I didn't see people out in stores or elsewhere wearing masks until late April/early May.

I felt the girlfriend suffered from low self esteem and didn't have the courage to object to him making decisions for the both of them. I agree, too, and while I know absolutely nothing about how open adoptions work, it seems to me in this particular case, it's part of Dawn's job to help Tyler and Catelyn to move from their grieving to pride that they did such an unselfish thing that has benefited their daughter--that it was absolutely the best decision they could have made--and to accept that Carly really isn't their daughter any more.  She should encourage them to stop having birthday parties for Carly and to limit their correspondence with her to one or two notes a year and then drop them altogether.  It's not fair to Carly to be put into this awful position of having to deal with her biological parents who just can't let go and allow her to be the daughter of her adoptive parents.  When Carly is older, she may want to have the kind of relationship with T&C that they want now, but that decision should be up to her.

As a matter of fact, I think C&T ought not to have any more direct contact with Carley, allowing her adoptive parents to send them notes and photos--and allowing C&T to write to them--so that Carley can have a more normal life.  I wonder if Carley resents having to meet up with C&T every year or so, to be forced to acknowledge her sisters--if there is so much concern over Leah's feelings about her biological mother being respected, I wonder if Carley's feelings are been validated, too.

The way C&T go on about Carley in front of Nova is criminal and will lead to years of psychiatric sessions for that little girl.

I so agree with you! The birthday parties for Carly are ridiculous. Teresa and Brandon are saints for putting up with that. Dawn should absoloutely tell C&T not to write directly to Carly anymore. Any correspondence should go through Brandon and Teresa...maybe a couple of notes a year and that's it. C&T are being selfish and immature...Brandon and Teresa are doing the heavy lifting and trying to raise Carly in a loving and safe environment...it seems that is something that C&T cannot process...they still say "she's ours" and bemoan that Brandon and Teresa aren't allowing them to see Carly more often. It's not their call...they don't get that. C&T have their own family to raise and worry about...from what I've seen this last season, they have their hands full. Tyler has a short temper and takes a lot of his problems out on the kids by yelling at them and generally just being a douche. Dawn does a disservice to Carly and to C&T by encouraging more contact and not being more firm about boundaries...something that C&T obviously don't have. They seem to be resentful and angry about Brandon and Teresa being the parents of Carly instead of being grateful and thankful for Carly being cared for and loved by two generous people.

After seeing this open adoption play out over the years I can say that if I ever found myself in a position of having to adopt a child I sure as hell would never opt for open adoption.

Maci and Taylor chose to over schedule their kids activities, so please quit complaining about how tough it all is.  Bentley doesn't need to be playing two sports at once if it is interfering with quality family time.  Some people seem to think over scheduling their kids lives is a virtue.  It's not.

While I'm not dismissing Maci's fear and issues with the shooting, it seems to be gas-station-specific.  Because if she really thought about it, she'd be afraid to go to a restaurant, grocery shopping, a movie, etc.  So maybe she should start by getting gas at another gas station for a while?  I get being at that one might bring up negative emotions.  And I do believe she was in danger of a stray bullet.  She was within range of the shot-out glass flying around, so getting hit was a threat.  Plus she didn't know this person's intentions.  Maybe he did want to kill anyone he could.  It wasn't the case, but she didn't know that and the fear was the same.  But I don't know if rehashing it for the camera is helpful.

Poor Nova needed some extra hugs.  She was tired and emotional too.  Except she is a little girl and can't handle it the same.  It makes me sad when adults make excuses for their own emotions, but expect underdeveloped little kid brains to do better.

I had hoped that Gary was on the edge of saying that maybe Leah shouldn't be filmed anymore.  Seems like he recognizes that she wants more privacy after being filmed her whole life, and that she's not comfortable with all this anymore.  So what are you going to do about that Gary?  You have total control on this.  Let's see what you're willing to sacrifice for Leah's well being.

But I feel bad for her kids.
