Do we know it was a hysterectomy for sure? Certainly Beth never having a period after age 15 would certainly been noticed

With these writers you just don't know what the hell is going on from script to script. Maybe they need a woman or two on the writing team to educate them on the difference between an abortion and a hysterectomy.

Good LORD! And, because Beth needs to make dramatic exits, she just leaves when she wants to. What if he'd killed her and just decided to walk out on his own? They don't have a safeguard for that? Epstein was better guarded!

I like Beth as a character, in that she's damaged, and we know it, but she usually does interesting things that sort of make sense. This season not so much. I want NoTSallyStruthers to take her down as well. Maybe she and Summer can share a cell....

The coincidence of the barrel racers being back just as Jimmy arrives made my eyes roll, and then John comes down to the bunkhouse to check on the "horse", and I could have sworn he said "whores" which made me laugh.

Silly finale with some great photography. And Kayce's "quest" reminded me of my druggy days and got me looking up old Duran Duran on YouTube.

Kayce's acid trip was like...Huh? WTF was that about??

What if he stays and something happens to Monica and baby because of ranch and that's the reason behind the end.

John really needs to quit expecting everyone to kill and mangle and do all this shit to keep the ranch but his fuckgirl goes to prison and he loses his mind.

Why oh why does Jimmy have chicks falling all over him but the other dudes don't have any women after them? Like almost everyone is better looking and has a better personality than him. Just saying. The guy that plays Jimmy must have pictures of Taylor Sheridan with goats or something

LOL!!! I said the same thing in an earlier post...this guy, who seems nice enough but is not exactly a smokin' hot guy, has two good looking women fist fighting over him but the others, in particular "Ryan" who is hot, have no women? The Jimmy character seemed to be the main character this season along with Beth...maybe the guy that plays Jimmy and the actress that plays Beth both caught Taylor Sheridan with one of the livestock on the show.

That was a big waste of a finale.  Not a whole lot happening at all, and what did happen was pretty damn ridiculous.

Now that Jimmy's made his choice, can we be done with him?  For good?

Agree...worst season finale so far of this show. Waste of two hours. I'm sure they will inundate us next season with special "sneak previews" of 6666 inserted into every episode.

Jaime should have known what “sterilization” meant - he grew up on a livestock farm for crying out loud - but I think to say he did it “sneakily”, as someone upthread said, is unfair imo. There isn’t any indication on screen that he was malicious in this decision. He was just dumb.

Sadly the non-consensual sterilization of Indigenous women continues to this day. Certainly on a smaller scale but still yikes.

I do believe the writers are changing the “smaller” plot lines on the go.

You forget…Jamie was groomed to be a lawyer…he barely spent anytime with the livestock and bunkhouse boys.

    1. They spent WAY too much time on Summer’s legal BS. No. One. Cares.

    2. Beth kidnapped a Priest….at gunpoint?? Give me a break.

    3. Did Beth REALLY need to dress like that for a fake conjugal visit?

And 4. The clinic would only give Beth an abortion if they sterilized her after so why does she blame Jamie for killing Rip’s child? He didn’t drag her there.

Thank you for pointing these flagrant unrealistic scenes out. Especially the priest…OMG! One of the writers must be having a fling with Kelly Reilly because her character had more scenes than any of the other characters this season and the most absurd plot lines too. One of the writers had a fantasy of her dressing up in a sexy dress with a plunging neckline and super short hemline to put forth the ridiculous plot line of her conjugal visit at a state prison.

I can't manage to be sure when I arrange to meet someone on purpose that I won't miss them at first, but Beth does somehow know exactly when Jamie will arrive to toss his dad's body off the cliff. I wonder how long she was sitting there in the dark.

This 100%!  I hate Jaimie, but he was a kid himself.  That whole storyline is rather stupid because 20 years ago, a hysterectomy would have meant 3-4 days in hospital.  Sometimes the writing on this show is outstanding, but also the research really sucks sometimes.

Same thing with how Jaimie found out he was adopted.  There is no way he would have gotten his original birth certificate in that way, he would have gotten the revised one that's created when the adoption goes through.  As someone who is adopted, I know this for a fact.

I don't think an underage girl would have gotten a hysteroctomy either...especially a rich white girl.

Jimmy was an ex meth dealing knucklehead with very few positive things in his life when Mia met him.  Jimmy had finally uncovered a skill he was good at in riding bucking broncos.  All Mia did was encourage that skill and encourage Jimmy to take control of his life and not let John Dutton decide what he could and could not do.

Mia was really just someone expecting reasonable decisions from an adult.  When Jimmy got hurt, she didnt bail on him.  She stuck around during a pretty tough time in his life.  Then Jimmy left her again because John Dutton made him go to Texas, when Mia simply wanted him to go live a life with her outside of the ranch.

Jimmy leaves for a couple of weeks, essentially becomes the person Mia wanted him to be all along, then comes back to Yellowstone and throws dirt in her face before leaving the show.  The whole storyline was odd and kind of mean to Mia for no reason.  Mia didnt even need to be at the bunkhouse when Jimmy got back.  We really didnt need to see Mia again after Jimmy left for Texas.  That's my point.

I could care less about Jimmy and his ridiculous love life.

Yes, she's getting boring and predictable.  And more and more unlikeable.  It was so mean to berate a child because he called her Mom.  I know it reminded her of her situation, but he's a child.  She didn't have to treat him like he was an adult who intentionally tried to hurt her.

Me, too.  I thought the whole thing was strange and I just didn't get it.

I thought when Beth took the photo of Jamie with the body, he'd threaten her with the gun and then smash her phone.

I thought this was the worst finale this show has ever had...the build up to it was insane...24/7 ads online and on TV about how it was going to be huge. More like wimper rather than a roar. So the big thing was Jamie killing his loser father? Beth dressing up like a high end call girl to have a showdown in a prison conjugal room? The courtroom scene? Or worse, Jimmy, of all people, has two women fist fighting over him while the best looking dude in the bunkhouse, "Ryan" has no woman? And speaking of the bunkhouse, I could do without anymore scenes of these guys playing poker and goofing on each other...way too many of those scenes this season. And the girls came back? As for Beth...I agree...she is boring, predictable and unlikeable. All the bitterness, anger and mean spirited behavior even towards a child is just depressing.

I'm just disappointed in the trajectory of this show and the lack of any kind of realism anymore. They introduced the new boy but he's basically a slave...doesn't get paid and apparently doesn't go to school either. I don't think that would really be going on with a ranch of this size and reputation. It's obvious that Taylor Sheridan has handed over the writing reins to others and is more engaged in his other projects. They've exhausted all the plotlines that have to do with land expansion and development and other Montana centric issues. I really don't know where they go to from here...that's why they filled up so much airtime this season with rodeos and horse tricks...the 6666 plotline was really just an intro to Sheridan's latest project which will feature Jimmy as the lead actor. I'll pass on it.

Calling producer shenanigans on this.  Falls Church has a restaurant/bar life of its own. No need to go to DC.  Someone should tell the female house hunter that the 3rd house was a raised ranch with a newly attached front little porch.  This was certainly not a craftsman by any stretch of the mind.  And depending on where you live in the Midwest, $500,000 doesn't buy you much house.  He needs to get off that band wagon and I think he is a little old for a game room.

You're not going to find a true "Craftsman" home in Northern Virginia. This is more of a Colonial style kind of area. Occasionally you'll find a ranch style home but they tend to be older..built in the 50'-early 60's and all brick. Some developers near the Beltway have put up small neighborhoods with Craftsman style new builds. Not sure what they look like inside but the exteriors are nice enough. If they had looked further out in Fairfax County they could have gotten a four bedroom, 2 1/2-3 bath home with a decent sized yard and two car garage maybe even fully updated with new kitchen and baths for $700,000-$800,000. A lot of young couples that live in DC or Arlington want to stay in that area but the reality is they will be looking at much older homes that need a lot of work the closer into DC that they look.

  14. The DC couple...wow...the woman was one of the worst I've seen on this show. What a diva. She basically dissed every house she saw. I was thinking, if I was the owner of any of these houses that they toured and I saw how disrespectful and disdainful she was about my house, I would be pretty upset. If you don't like something in a house, just say, "It's not my style" or "I'm not a fan of the colour of the house" instead of making faces and calling a house colour "puke green" or bad mouthing every other thing you don't like.

She was rude and obnoxious...and I have to say, they picked the worst house they saw. How do they think they are going to come out ahead after doing a gut job on the kitchen and whatever else they are going to do inside the house...and let's not forget that changing the colour of the house is going to mean replacing the siding...houses down here (in Virginia...I live near Falls Church) are not painted...they almost all have siding unless they are all brick...that is going to be pricey.

And a pool? Ha! That yard was small and even so, pools are quite pricey. Also...why do young couples who are expecting their first child want to live near bars and restaurants? Their life is going to change...drastically. They will be going to parks and playgrounds a lot more than bars and restaurants. If I were them I would be more concerned with schools and being in a family friendly area....gotta love Millennials.

DC area couple:  I would have run away from her after the first date because of that voice.  She sounded like Fran Drescher.  And she was a pill.

Falls Church has many bars and restaurants, it's not like it's out in the boonies.

I do agree with them about the trees though.  I like trees but not too close to the house.  Sure, they look gorgeous on the property, but there have been instances around the DC area of trees falling on houses when it's stormy and windy, and I'm sure around other areas of the country as well.

Falls Church is an old area with a lot of very large old trees that tend to split in half or just become uprooted and fall over when there is a bad thunderstorm or any other bad weather related problem. I live in Fairfax County...someone I know does landscaping work and whenever there is a bad storm here he hauls over to Falls Church with his chainsaw to make a few bucks sawing up fallen trees. It can actually be quite dangerous there when this happens as some trees have fallen into houses and killed people or fallen on parked cars.

I agree. I asked in an earlier season whether these horses become injured and lame over time. They are athletes doing unnatural, damaging repetitive motion, and surely it takes its toll.

I am so glad to see others voice concern about this issue. I was appalled by this. Call me a snowflake or any other slur but I grew up in the Bluegrass state and lived in horse country and never saw anything like this before. Taylor Sheridan has made this a focal point of the show now...and seems to be showcasing himself engaging in this "sport" or whatever the hell it is. It's hard for me to watch.

I don’t believe so. Kacey told Monica after she asked him again to be honest with her about everything. He mentioned the fact that he had rounded up the cattle that night, and started the whole thing as a result.  He told her that  her brother shot Lee, and I think she figured out the rest

eta- it was in the Unraveling episode according to the internet

I guess this was in the first season...my memory bank is a little foggy these days but now that you clarified this I remember the conversation between Monica and Kayce. Seems like ions ago!

He has absolutely no room to talk about Beth’s  methods.  Not after branding his own son and knowing all about the train station.

I think what they are doing with these horses has to hurt their legs. It’s not entertainment to me.

I don't seem to remember that about Kayce telling Monica that he shot her brother...did the tribal elders know this? Or Monica's father? I simply don't recall this.

Wow, we got halfway thru the show without Sheridan force feeding us spin off shit. But the we have to suffer through more Jimmy scenes, rodeo porn ( again with like 3 people in the "crowd" watching - can't Sheridan spring for some CGI crowds at least ? ) and news that Jimmy, despite being told when exiled to the 6666 that he'd "know when it was time to come back" is instead told by Sheridans character that he was being shipped back after doing little other than jerking off a horse, fucking the horses's doctor and driving a rig around for a bit. The fact that he's driving back a multi million dollar horse may have significance but I doubt it, as the previews suggest he somehow makes it back to the Yellowstone.  Throw in Walker's closing sad guitar playing and the amount of utterly useless time taken up in this episode is about the same as the rest of the eps in this train wreck season.

I still have seen no indication that the 6666 series has even entered production, so it looks like next season will be more Jimmy bullshit.

Elsewhere, we have Summer, supposedly an experienced protestor being shocked that hitting Federal officers is a big offense ( although 30 years sounds like bullshit ) and easily the funniest line of the episode where she laments Dutton will be the last guy she fucks for 30 years. Maybe Jobn threw Beth out so he can bring Summer back to the house w/o more Beth confrontations ?

Carter is getting more screen time than Tate or hell even Kayce these days. Please god let him get thrown from the horse.

The diner confrontation with Garrett was just...stupid.

Jamies baby momma is just finding out now his dad was in prison ? I find that hard to believe.

Yeah...gotta concur with you on just about everything. If I didn't know any better, I'd say this show is being written by the same people who wrote "Dallas".

Only one ep left this season? I think the final episode should be all about Jimmy's love life and Taylor Fucking Egomaniac's riding skills, so I can just skip the whole thing. Because the 20 or 30 minutes they actually spend on the Dutton family won't be enough to resolve half of loose threads hanging.  Oh maybe throw in 10 minutes of Kayce dying of hypothermia, that would be more interesting than anything about Jimmy.  The only redeeming aspect of this season is I'm not paying $10 a month for the privilege of watching it.

Yes.  As I watched that scene unfold, I thought immediately of last week's 'snake in the barn' story.  Will Walker prove to be the snake in the barn that is Rip and Beth's relationship?

I thought that scene with Beth crying uncontrollably in the barn was ridiculous. Miss tough shit breaks down because Daddy got mad and asked to her to move out? All she has to do is wait a couple of days and then manipulate him back into letting her stay...she knows how to work her Daddy.

So daddy Dutton finally realizes the full extent of what a POS Beth is when it happens to someone he halfway cares about? Too late to put that genie back in the bottle.

I had to fast forward the scenes with Jimmy.   The actor seems really nice and has a great personality but I do not care about this storyline.

I wish there was more momentum with Jamie’s storyline. He gets one scene to bitch to his dad or campaign manager/girlfriend about how he’ll never be able to beat his dad and that’s it. I guess at least John got to confront biodad in this ep.

I actually like the scenes with Rainwater and Mo and watching them walk Kayce through the ritual. I wish they had more of a storyline in the show in place of Jimmy’s adventures. I wonder how Kayce will come out of this experience and if he’ll totally leave the ranch alone. Also, wonder if the wolf is supposed to be some reincarnation of his mother. He was with her when she died and he was her favorite so maybe it’s a stand in for his guardian angel. That may be a huge stretch though.

So agree about the storyline on Jimmy. How does a guy like that get lucky with good looking women? Oh yeah...that's right...it's a Hollywood script. This whole Jimmy thing is just a waste of our time. Interesting that we had to sit through another another segment of Taylor Sheridan doing his cowpoke stuff and dishing out some cowboy wisdom...ugh.

I have a theory about the wolf...I think it might be his brother-in-law. The one he killed in the first season of the show. He lied to his wife about the killing and she has been led to believe that he had no involvement. Because he lied about it to his wife, he also lied to the tribe. I love any scenes where the Native Americans and their culture are showcased. That has been one of the saving graces of this show this season.

Heather and Erika Jayne are more similar than I realized. Both totally joyless bitches. Both really seem to get off on shaming people. Both fill the joylessness with vulgar displays of material things.

We saw what karma did to EJ; wonder what she has in store for Miss Champs? 🤔

Shocked Heather admitted pulling her hair back tight to lift her face. Like Lucille Ball used to do back in the good old days. But Lucy looked quite pretty. Not like Madame / Jigsaw. The way Heather was grilling Dr Jen about cosmetic procedures was weird.

That dress shirt thing Gina wore at the party was not a successful look.

Finally, loved Stella saying she doesn’t believe in holistic medicine. She is stunning. I hope she goes down a good path in life and not a detour to hell like some precious OC children (Tammy’s kids, Lauri’s son, Tamra’s rat faced son…)

Gina’s “dress” was a big fail. Has she hired some 20 something stylist?

End of the cordial relationship. Good for Jeff! Heather is an A-hole on camera and in real life!
