  1. Themadman, it is not wrong to root for the lead to die in his fight with the bad angel. He's such a mopey, charisma free character that the show would improve a thousand fold if he died. Instead of having a chosen one saving them, let humanity save itself. That would be a major change in this type of story. If I was put in charge of this show, there would be a major bloodbath coming at the end of this season, and I'd wipe out most of the characters on the show, and all of my writing staff behind the scenes, and start over again.
  2. I like the new Mayor, I like smart villains, that's why I like Stahma but don't like Datak. Datak is a complete thug and I'm glad the Mayor saw right through his little ploy. It's understandable why Stahma doesn't want that idiot back. Of course he's going to get out of prison somehow and it should make great drama between the two. Datak coming back should really disrupt the town. I like what they are doing with Amanda. Last season I thought she was a pretty dull character. This season I like the darker shades. She has lost her sister, lost her town and it has devastated her. The drugs and the sex to dull her pain. It's good for her that Nolan is back, she can use a strong friend, especially when she find out what the Mayor is doing to her. I wonder if she'll ever find out that Stahma killed Kenya.
  3. That was a big eh. There was nothing that I would call good, but some of the bad was funny. I've gotten so use to quality TV that it's weird seeing something this mediocre. Ii reminded me of the bad syndicated shows from the 90s. The best thing this show has going for it is that it's on during the summer. I might watch next week just to see if it gets better, but I doubt it'll become anything I'll watch on a regular basis.
  4. It was a bit underwhelming, but I’ve seen much worse series finales. Like nearly everyone else; hated that the writers felt like they had to put Pete and Myka together. They have no romantic chemistry at all; a sibling vibe, yes, romantic vibe, no. I guess they didn’t have a scene with Myka and HG because it would have pointed out how little romantic chemistry Pete and Myka have. I would have liked it better if when they had their big kiss, they would have pulled back and went “nah, not feeling it”. The rest of the episode was okay, I would rather they have used clips from previous episodes to show their big moment. The new clips weren’t that special. It was nice seeing Claudia in the future being the Warehouse caretaker, but it would have been interesting to have seen Warehouse 14. What nation would replace us as the #1 superpower? Maybe Iceland!
  5. I laughed harder at this show than anything else I’ve watched this week. It’s too ridiculous to take as a regular drama. A terrorist gang is walking around DC with a plot to kill the President, but instead of the FBI, CIA and other government agencies engaged in a full manhunt for these terrorist; we have OPA, Jake, Quinn and Charlie and Papa Pope leading the charge. Why bother to engage the rest of the intelligence community when you have this top notch group doing it. I’m surprised Maya hasn’t walked into the Oval Office to have a discussion with Fitz yet; maybe next season. If I ever see anything as horrifying as Quinn and Hulk getting it on in a garage, someone please stab my eyes with a hot poker, it would be less painful. Fingers crossed that Charlie will end this national nightmare for us. Mama Pope had the right idea just to walk past them without looking. It would have ruined her appetite for stabbing her husband. This episode was terrible in all the right ways. I’m not sad next week is the season finale. Maybe with a break they can tighten up their writing and get this show back to season 2 levels.
  6. Great episode, I loved how tense the episode was. Their world was falling apart and they betrayed that well. I'm going to hold off on the Ward being a traitor. I think it creates a great storyline, but like many here I'm not convinced he killed Hand. That little scene with Coulson before he left to join Hand felt like them creating a plan for Ward to get deep into Hydra. I hope I'm wrong. The show has gotten a lot better the last few episodes and I hope they keep it up the rest of the season. So if Ward is truly evil, HAIL HYDRA!!!
  7. If they play this right they could make Ward a great character. If he's really Hydra, but is feeling conflicted about his actions, they could get some great storylines off of it. If it's all a fake out to get him inside Hydra, then boo; it's the biggest cop out of all time. Last night Ward felt dangerous and with his relationships with Coulson's team, he could be a real wildcard.
  8. If Fitz were too be killed, the government could make a good case that OPA is a terrorist cell. Olivia and Harrison have direct connections to Mama Pope and her gang, and with them shutting down B613, that could prove they are terrorist. Of course we know they aren't terrorist, just idiots. I'm not a big fan of Jake, but when he stormed in that room and grabbed Olivia's throat and had his gun on Hulk, I had to give him his props. I hope that next season they ease up on the B613 stories and get back to some fun scandals to fix. If they continue with this crap any longer, I am going to have to bail. I can only take so much second rate Alias stories.
  9. My reaction to Andre Braugher on Brooklyn 99 is similar to the reaction people had when Leslie Nelson appeared on Airplane. Nelson was only known as a serious dramatic actor who played a lot cops and authoritarian figures like Braugher.. Seeing him be so funny in Airplane was a revelation, the same as seeing Braugher on Brooklyn 99. Airplane totally changed Nelson’s career and image, I wonder if it’ll do the same to Braugher.
  10. I was really glad to read this morning that Orphan Black had won a Peabody Award. Congratulations to the cast and crew. Tatiana has deservedly received the lion’s share of the acclaim for the show, but it’s nice that the show itself is being recognized. Tatiana gives a great performance, but I’ve seen plenty of great performances get stranded in bad movies and TV shows. She is giving a great performance and it’s supported by a fabulous supporting cast, great writing, and decent production values. I hope this award brings more new people to the show.
