  1. I've been re-reading IT, and I love it... except for the interludes which just slows the pace down. I like them slightly more this time, now I realise that it's Mike telling the stories. I love the stuff with the kids, and when the adults are interacting together

  2. I watched it earlier, and didn't really like it, or get it (apart from some of the obvious symbolism), but weirdly, after reading up about it makes me like it a bit more; especially that Bustle article above.

I thought Jennifer Lawrence was great

  3. Dane DeHaan always reminds me of Bill Skarsgård (who's playing Pennyswise in IT), every time I see a movie with him in, I have to sort of remind myself.

And speaking of Dane, I've just noticed he was in in True Blood for 3 episodes!

  4. So, I actually watched the whole show... and I surprisingly didn't hate it. The pilot was awful, I don't like the laugh track and Dank and Dabby are very annoying, but it kind of grew on me.

Pete is my favourite character and I love his conversations with his plants. I also like Carter.

I think some of the serious moments, Carter talking to Ruth about his PTSD were really good and some of the better moments of the show

  5. As everyone else is doing it, my rewatchable Marvel films, Thor 1, Iron Man 1, Avengers 1, Thor 2, Avengers 2, Ant Man, GOTG 1+2

I thought Civil War was mostly boring, but I do like when 'team prison break' (Clint, Wanda, Scott and Sam) are on screen. Oh, and I like T'Challa

Johnathan is far too good a villain to be gone this quickly. Plus Will is a great actor and this show can't afford to lose any good actors. I remember Will from Game.

I'm hoping the show decides to stop separating Magnus and Alec. Harry's barely up to the task and poor Matthew is going to break something if he tries to emote.

Haha, that's hilarious. His reaction to his parabatai rune fading/Jace's death was awful. "It's..... (ten second pause) Jace"

Jace's death scene was well done, I thought even Kat was good in that scene.

I liked Anthony Stewart Head's cameo as the voice of Raziel.

I don't like Clary because Katherine is the weakest actor of the bunch. She's beautiful, but her wooden acting just kills me. She's improving, but not as much as everyone else is.

Yep. That's how I feel too. Not saying the acting is great on the show, but it's definitely improved since the first season. Emeraude Toubia is way better than the first season. I think Dominic Sherwood is one of the stronger actors, and Harry Shum Jr is lot better this season too.

I want to like Clary, I love her in the books and I liked Lily Collins playing her in the movie (although I thought she spoke too fast), and I do think Katherine is really pretty, but something doesn't click with me, I think part of it is the writing, but a lot is to do with her acting.

I did think this episode was an improvement over the last couple. I thought Lola did a good job as the Seelie Queen, and I really like Meliorn.

  8. I watched the second half of season 6 and then season 7 in three days, and then last night I had 2 separate dreams about the show and who Uber A was. The first one it was Aria's mom who was unmasked, and the second one, it was some random guy in a school gym that we only saw on the show and that they barely knew

I would love it be Aria, but that's never going to happen.

  9. Watched it again last night, and I still loved it. It's such a pretty and colourful film.

Baby Groot is so cute and I really loved Sean Gunn in this. he was so annoying in Gilmore Girls and he was just 'there' in the first one, but I thought he was great in this.

I was able to notice the cameos this time - Ben Browder as one of the gold dudes (I was amazed when I saw his name in the credits the first time, 'cause I didn't notice him, but watching it again I can't believe I didn't know it was him. And Molly Quinn (from Castle) as Howard the Duck's date

  10. I saw it last night and I really liked it. I agree it was a little long, but I didn't mind too much. It was very bright and colourful

Baby Groot got a reaction every time he came on screen, he was just so cute.

I really liked the opening scene, and I thought Pom Klementieff was great as Mantis and he interactions with others were entertaining.

Sean Gunn actually had one of my favourite moments.

I want to see it again at the cinema

Then again, I have generally unpopular Marvel opinions - I don't really like any of the Captain America movies and I loved Age of Ultron.

While I'm sure Jude will be great, part of me was down with the idea of Jared Harris (son of Richard Harris, Dumbledore 1.0.) playing him.

Oh wow, I really like Jared Harris and I didn't realise Richard Harris was his dad

So, I've discovered that I have a really unpopular opinion here:  I didn't start enjoying Luke Cage until about half way through.  Sounds like I'm one of the very few who didn't like the first half and did like the second half instead of vice versa.

Nope I'm the same, from around the time Claire Temple showed up. I did love Misty from the beginning though, especially in the basketball scene.

I didn't mind Iron Fist, but out of the four shows the only one I've really liked is Jessica Jones

As much as I enjoyed this mid-season finale, I was very disappointed and felt cheated by the scene where Simon drinks Jace's blood and thereby becomes a Daylighter. This was one of the sexiest and most emotional moments in the books and the show writers changed it into something lacklustre. When Simon says to Jace "I could have killed you" and Jace replies "I would have let you", that was an incredible and heartbreaking moment in the book, whereas in the show it was brushed over and didn't even register. Very disappointed by this.

Yeah I was disappointed in that scene, it's one of my favourites in the books.

I really liked this movie, it had an interesting story, good characters and Dwayne Johnson did a great job as Maui. The one issue I do have is the giant crabs song, Shiny. It doesn't seem to fit with the Polynesian style of the art and the other music. Jemaine Clement is good, but I really got a Tim Curry impersonator vibe from this performance, way more than Bowie-esque.

    YES!

I was definitely thinking Tim Curry when I heard him

  15. So good, I wish that that the new crew could somehow re-write/re-shoot the first Season in this sort of style, 'cause Season 2 is soo much better.

I was shocked when Aldertree mentioned the drug was called Yin Fen, wasn't expecting that.

The sparring scene between Jace and Izzy was my favourite scene.
