I am not going to cave in.  I’m already paying $235 for regular cable and Internet as well as whatever for Hulu, Netflix and Amazon prime.  I remember when cable TV was a new thing and the draw was that there were no commercials. Ha ha ha what a joke.  I don’t need to watch these goofy people bounce around on their beds watching TV. It was fun while it lasted.

Eventually what will happen is the amount people will pay for WiFi and streaming channels will be just as much as we paid for cable.  I have Amazon Prime, Netflix and Disney+.  I tried Hulu but didn't like it, and I don't like Peacock either.

She seems like a nice and pretty girl, and I find it very odd that she hasn't found a nice guy like Cameran's husband, moved to the 'burbs, and had the kids/dog.

    1. Finding a nice guy and having all those things is luck.

    2. Do we even know what Danni wants out of life?  Maybe that's not what she wants.

The fight with Candiass shows that she is not the brightest bulb.  As @retired watcher stated, she was one of the few housewives that was really well liked, has a great marriage,  beautiful family, and can boast of having real wealth.  Candiass is so not worth losing the goodwill she has with viewers.

See, I don't really think Monique has what we think she has.  What we see is all surface.  I think Monique is like, "Hi, I'm Monique, I have a loving husband, three beautiful kids, five homes and my life is PERFECT...it's so perfect that I can do ten things at ONCE."  Monique needs to take off the Superwoman cape.  If someone is truly happy, they don't fight random women in the street.  Everybody I've ever seen fighting in the street usually didn't have much.

I think Monique's relationship is a quid pro quo, like the marriages of most of the women on the show; though I don't know what Candiace sees in Chris.

But that luncheon circle of Bravo-planted, holier-than-thou vultures encouraging weak-minded Danni NOT to reconcile with Kathryn because she's a descendant of John C. Calhoun was sickening to watch.

I take issue at them being called vultures.  They were speaking the truth.  However, Danni shouldn't be friends with Kathryn because she's a user who doesn't know how to be a friend.

The fight has made me realize that even though Monique might have issues making (and keeping) friends in real life...she is by far the most popular and liked housewife on Potomac.

That is something I just can't figure out, except for the reasons I once mentioned:  She's a brown skinned woman, married to a black man with three adorable kids.

I think she's shady and nasty.  If she had SOOOO much, she wouldn't have been fighting Candiace like some thirteen year old who had nothing going on in their life.

I don't think there's any excuse for her behavior towards her castmates, but I do think there is a difference between abuse from a castmate and abuse from your spouse.  Neither is ok and neither should be tolerated or excused, but I do think when it's your spouse, there's a layer of betrayal you don't get from a coworker.

To me abuse is abuse.  It's bad to be abused by a coworker, especially if you need that job in order to feed your family.

Kenya abused Tania last season, for NO reason except because she wanted to.  Kenya has been nasty to others just because she wanted to be nasty.

  7. @Christina, I was just going to post that video.

Here's how I saw it; Tarik was the straight man and Dean was the funny one.  It worked because of BOTH of them.  If you watch Pillow Talk, it's always two or more people, it wouldn't work with just one person.

Someone in their family should sit both those fools down and tell them that this type of "fame" is very fleeting.  They are Z list if anything.  No reason getting a big head over this nonsense.

Speaking of which, I can barely tell Shep and Craig’s girlfriends apart...these guys all seem to have a type, and it’s obviously tan, skinny basic blondes with boobs.

LOL, at first I thought they were going out with the same girl.

Then I thought they were sisters.

But Shep and Craig have a type.  Speaking of Craig, he's aging badly.  When they showed Craig in episodes past, I was shocked at how young he looked.  Shep is ageing badly too.  Both of them are look like aging preppies and not in a good way.  Whitney is aging a lot better and I never thought I'd say that.

Did anyone else notice pictures of Kathryn (and Kathryn and Thomas) with a little girl, and the girl's face was blurred out?  It would seem that they were pics of their daughter, but the daughter was on camera in the first episode without her face blurred out.  Maybe Thomas got in a snit again about Bravo?

I saw those pictures and I was confused too.

Leva cracked me up when she told Kathryn, "I see you as an intelligent woman." 😆

    On what planet?

Kathryn reminds me of another Kathryn I knew right after college. From an ancient NOLA family, wealthy, grew up in the Garden District, went to Sophie Newcombe, beautiful...and as lazy as the day is long. She was so spoiled that she couldn't muster the energy to bathe or wear clean clothes. Couldn't maintain friendships because her favorite person was herself.

I'm laughing at this.  I wonder if Kathryn even bothers to bathe.  She probably just slathers perfume all over her.

I burst out laughing when Shannon said her main plan for 2020 was to dance on a cruise ship. Oh, honey, no. In Kelli’s eyes, DCC is the dream. You’ll be lucky if you get into training camp.

I thought what Shannon meant was that her plan for 2020 was to dance on a cruise ship but couldn't because of COVID, so that's why she tried out for DCC.  I think that's why Shannon was like, "Is that all?  Okay."

She'd rather dance on a cruise ship.

And yet I know at least 10 people from those three groups (either natives or first generation) who do identify as white, so it has somewhat surprised and confused me to see others who think of themselves as POC, but I do understand it. In the U.S., any shade of skin other than white makes you “other” in the eyes of some, so might lead to more people (and especially, younger people) identifying as POC.

I think what happens a lot is though some people might identify as white, many people in the USA don't.

It happened to my roommate who was half Japanese, half white.

I had no idea who Trace Ellis Ross is, or what she is famous for. All I do know is I can not stand her stupid Lays chip ads. Is she an actor or comedian? A singer? A social-influencer?  Does not compute why she is the spokesperson for this brand.

She's on a TV show on ABC called "Black-ish."

She was also on a TV show called "Girlfriends."  She is also Diana Ross' daughter.

And she has a hair line for curly haired girls.  Stuff is pricey but pretty damn good.

Of course. I was not excusing Monique's attack. She can and should know better and deserves to be fired for it. Bullying is not fun, no matter what you get bullied for, especially as a kid. I was just expressing some sympathy for child Monique because I (and many of us) were in her shoes once. The comment that maybe the kids didn't play with her was her problem brought back a lot of memories for me that got me thinking "Wait, was it something I did?" and I had to tell myself that the bullying I received had nothing to do with me. Back then every time something happened, I would think "why, what have I done?". Again, I can't speak to Monique's experience and I don't think she should be using her childhood issues to excuse her attacking Candiace.

Adult Monique used her childhood experiences to explain herself.

If Monique was so affected by being bullied, why is she allowing her followers to bully Candiace?

I've liked Karen since day one.  We share the same name and though she's one year older than me she still has it going on, from her constant hustle to just being classy at all times.  And ya gotta love a lady who still has a healthy sex life at her age, like me!

Karen and I share the same name too but I had it first. 😛

I think Karen has a healthy sex life, but I'm not sure it's with Ray.  😄

If she had any class she'd write a book about her family.  Too many scents out now and some venues don't allow perfume anymore.  (like some theaters in NYC).  I'm not sure if I want to smell like Karen because I keep thinking she smells like the synthetic thing on her head.

Conversely, I have a lot of problems with This Is Us but they handled this particular trope well.

I think This is Us handles it better because Randall actually does have his own storyline.  His character isn't there for the sole purpose of enlightening the white folks.
