I was a shy, awkward child with acne when I had to switch schools in the middle of the year because my parents got divorced. I tripped on the first day walking into he classroom and was teased and bullied after that. I was called lame and pathetic to my face. I was locked in the bathroom, got kick me signs put on my back. I played with the first graders on the playground because they were the only ones nice to me. My parent's divorce was very hard for my and I internalized it. I never stood up for myself and barely if ever spoke up in class.  The one time I did stand up for myself, I was laughed at so I never did it again. I can't speak to Monique and her experiences. Maybe she was a bully first. Maybe she stood up for herself and then was teased after. But I can speak to my experience and I'm pretty sure all of those things (and many more that I haven't mentioned that happened to me) weren't really my issue, but more the fact that those kids were bullies and I was an easy target. All I did was be shy and clumsy. I know this is Monique we are talking about and I'm not necessarily defending her, but it rubs me the wrong way to say a child was teased/bullied because it was their issue, not the issue of the bullies. I understand everyone's experience is different though. Monique was completely wrong about attacking Candiace and I think she should be fired.

I gather this comment was for me.

It sounded like your situation was different from Monique.

I was bullied for years, when I was in school.  It wasn't because I was black or because I "talked white."  It was for fucked up reasons.

But I don't randomly attack other women because of it.

Karen is this season's MVP!  From her talking heads to getting a spot on HSN (take that, Gizzard!) to launching a wig line, she's been kicking ass and taking names....see, you don't always have to be young to be a badass.

I don't get this Karen love.  She's younger than I am and looks old enough to be my mother.  She'd look much better if she took off that long, white yak off her head.

What I do like about her is that she's no great beauty but she has done a lot with her life.  I think about all that has happened to her while on the show, Ray's financial problems, the death of both of her parents.

I don't know how La Damme will do; lots of places don't like people to wear perfume because so many people are scent sensitive.

Still don't get the Karen love, nothing special about her IMO.

I grew up like Monique, that I was the only black girl at an all caucasian private Lutheran school. She's right when you go to an almost all black school. Sometimes the kids would say I talk white or talk proper. Monique was still so wrong to laugh at the end of the show about "dragging" Candiace. Not nice. I hope she doesn't come back next season. But the girl does look the best at the upcoming reunion imo,I hate to admit that lol. Gizelle seemed to be vicariously living through her best friend Robyn's engagement haha. I liked the dark brown hair on Ashley. But I don't like her hair off her face. Candiace sounded good while singing but everytime I can't help but laugh when she's singing haha. Gizelle must of been tipsy she and Kal were really clowning and dancing while Candiace was singing lol. Michael had such a bizarre reaction about Robyn and Juan's proposal. I wonder if ol' Mike took a xanax before arriving. I think at this point Ashley just wants Michael to play the part of the family man. Because I was surprised she made the comment if she grew a dick...when Chris and Michael had their altercation I'll admit I cracked up. That was hilarious to me haha.

Karen should dye or start wearing Gizelle's hair color. I think a nice red would be softer on Karen than the platinum blonde.

I went to a mostly white private school in NYC in the 1960's-1970's.  You know what?  There were black and Hispanic kids in my school and we all hung out together.  I lived in a black neighborhood the whole time and guess what, no one ever thought I talked "white."

I don't think the problem was the other kids, I think the problem was Monique.  If YOU are the common denominator, then  YOU might be the problem.

I think Chris, Ray and Michael are all tight with their money because there's nothing about Monique, Karen (season 1) and Ashley that screams "rich man's wife."  Karen wasn't wearing "fashions" and driving mack daddy cars until she got a BRAVO check.  Season 1, she looked like an upper middle class man's wife.

I don't know.  A lot of wealthy folk (especially older ones) don't spend their money on things like cars and clothes because the second you purchase them, they decrease in value.

Despite his lack of funds, Chris Bassett has the privilege of rolling up on Michael in ways the other husbands simply do not. Imagine Michael threatening to call the police on Juan, Chris S., or even Ray (who lived through the Jim Crow era). Despite online social justice warrior-ing, memes, and catchphrases galore, race still informs these types of interactions. I appreciate the other husbands having sense enough to realize dealing with Michael would probably be a futile effort. He's not worth all they could lose dealing with his foolishness.

Thank you for mentioning this because this is a real and uncomfortable truth.  Michael could turn into "a Karen" very quickly and call the police on any black person who looks at him wrong and argue that the person "threatened" him.  Sad but true.

I don't blame her for feeling some kind of way about that. If your husband can't muster up energy to be excited to see both you and your child, then needless to say, that's a big-ass problem. I always wanted to know how Marc's relationship is with his other children. I doubt they've met Kenya or their little sister. Has Kenya even met her in-laws yet?

Sorry, but I disagree.  Kenya's always been selfish, always ME ME ME.  I think it pains her that Marc's all about Brooklyn.

Kenya is just over a month from turning 50. I can see her competing with Brooklyn, sure but I doubt any future young man of Brooklyn’s would sleep with her. Then again, Kenya will probably flirt.

I thought her going for Tanyas relationship was very uncalled for. Tanya didn’t do anything to her.

What bugged me was when Kenya made some comment like,  "Marc just wanted to see Brooklyn, not MEEEE."  And I thought, "don't you want YOUR daughter to have a relationship with HER father?"  It came across very selfish.  Okay, their relationship may be DOA, but that doesn't mean Marc shouldn't be a father to Brooklyn.  It seemed like Kenya saw Brooklyn as competition for Marc's affection.

I know. Karma and all that, but there is a child involved who apparently will be raised by a single-mom.

I feel sorry for Brooklyn because I sense that, when she grows up, Kenya will see her as competition.  I see Kenya trying to sleep with Brooklyn's boyfriends.

I think Kenya is nothing but a bully who never had any self esteem.  A woman with self esteem would have never done what she did last year to Tanya (re:  Cookie Lady).  Now she knows how it feels, and I don't feel sorry for her, not one bit.

This can actually happen.  Did this happen to Monique? Perhaps.  Did this trigger Monique into beating up Candiace? Absolutely not.  But I'm sure there will be a new excuse for why she beat up Candiace next week.

I disagree.  What I meant was that if no one wanted to play with Monique when she was young, maybe the issue was her and not the other kids.

  9. I don't think Jovi or Brandon want to get married.

They both want to date Yara/Julia but don't want to travel, so get apply for the K1 so they can go on a long date.

Brandon's mom was right regarding birth control.  No birth tourism for Brandon.

I hope Michael unloads Emotion Eastern European and hangs out with that cute cat.

He should say, "Beau works on the farm.  If you're not willing to do what he does, then he stays.  So you make up your mind whether you want to work or whether you want to get comfortable with Beau being here."

Ugh, I can't stand Natalie.  Beau's your family, you don't even know this chick, so tell her to back the fuck off and find a religious man in her own country.  Period.

So Brandon's dad has been married a few times?

I will say, I think that Monique said one thing to her therapist that was true - she's mad at Candiace for "taking away" the group from her, which is really her being angry about her potentially losing the show. I think that is why she has continued to talk trash about Candiace and imply that Candiace was the aggressor, etc. Because she feels like if she can make that story stick, she's less likely to be fired. Based on the way the episode ended, I think she likely is going to be fired but IMO, that's why she is still so angry. I'm not sure what set her off about Candiace beforehand but it's clear that now, she feels like the persona she built for the show is being taken from her. (Of course, she has only herself to blame for her behavior).

Monique is so full of shit I'm surprised I can't smell her through my TV.

She said that her family lived in a white neighborhood and the white kids didn't want to play with her.

Then she said her family moved to a black neighborhood and the black kids didn't want to play with her.

What is the common denominator.....it's Monique.  That's what a good therapist would notice.

But can we talk about Robyn's dancing?!?!  OMG, I wish we had seen more of the dance party than the gross Michael Darby scenes.  And I loved seeing Ashley jealously watching the other ladies having a grand old time while she had to go deal with her creeper husband.  I think she was stunned at not being the center of attention and I was LIVING for it!  Need more dance breaks please, Bravo!!!!

I saw Ashley's face when the other women were having fun.  But that's Ashley's life and now that she's pregnant again it will be her life for a very long time.

I also thought it was interesting that Karen and Ray left and didn't even stay for the dance party.  I realized that I didn't even miss Karen this episode.  She wants to play the Grande Dame.  I think she said something to Ray about how they "can't deal with these people/we're better than this."  If Karen thinks she's better than the show, why keep her?

Well the latest update I saw actually named Jamal's girlfriend and showed a picture of her. It said the daughters know very well the relationship with Gizelle is fake, which is why they are acting so over it on the show.

Why they would continue with this fake story when there are so many rumors about Jamal's multiple women is beyond me.

Yes, I don't get why it had to be a "relationship."  Why not have a storyline where Jamal is just a part of the family, a father to his children.  Gizelle isn't that great of an actress to sell this nonsense.

I think Karen and Ray are like Michael and Ashley, marriage of convenience.

Leva- I'm not going to like her. Idk...she reminds me of everyone on Shah's. I've already seen that show. It's just now *that* in Charleston.  At least she turned that Persian Iranian daddy $ into a successful business unlike any Shahs seem to have done. Same storyline otherwise.  Escaping bad situations in Iran etc.

Nice to finally see a WOC on this lily white show.  Yay. 😁

Cynthia wants a wedding mulligan. Mike was giving her straight facts, though. We are in the middle of a global pandemic, Cynthia! And shit, this was during the early days of lock down, so for her to be all "250 people or bust" about the wedding was wild. Ideally, they would've gone to the courthouse and then have the ceremony once the world reopened, but we all know the outcome.

Cynthia seemed so shallow and selfish.  "I WANNA BIIIIIGGGG WEDDING."  She wants to show her family and friends, "Look, I have a MANNNNNN."  Go to the courthouse and have a big party when the pandemic is over, selfish one.

Also, did any one else catch when Kenya said that Marc would see her and Brooklyn at the hotel when she visited him in NYC? What! Your wife and child aren't staying with you when they come to town? Aye. Kenya was never my favorite, but human being to human being, sis, this is not it. No one is worth all of this heartache. Work out a child support/custody arrangement and get out when you're ready. If you're seeing your second divorce attorney after only 3 years of marriage, there's nothing salvageable about the relationship.

To me, this is karma coming for Kenya.  During the episode, she looked BAD, her face was a mess.  She's been a nasty witch for years and she wants me to feel sorry for her?  Nope.  She wanted a MANNNN and that's what she got.  That said, Kenya unload Marc.

The episode was boring, bland; like eating food with no seasoning.  I hate to say it but I missed nasty, rude Nene.

Now you understand what I feel anytime delusional bag of bones Karen is on screen.

Delusional and living up to her name.

Karen = Wannabe Nene Leakes 2.0

I was looking at her face today and she looks OLD.  I'm older than Karen but she looks BAD, especially with that dead white thing on her head.

I wonder what LaDamme smells like.  Does it smell like Karen?  I want her to make money from the perfume, go to Florida with Uncle Be...Ray and never be seen on TV again..

Gizelle needs to start a clothing line.  Don't laugh, she's tacky but so are a lot of people.  I know plenty of folks who'd wear those sequined pants and that white peasant blouse in a NY minute.

Production hates Michael; they showed him slowly get drunker and drunker.   I think Ashley wants to have children and doesn't seem to give a damn who she has them with.  Poor kids.  Dean looks like a Michael clone, hope he doesn't act like his dad.

I wonder if production likes Monique, especially with that sinister laugh at the end.  Maybe it's production saying, "we're watching you honey."

Probably just as well that someone like Craig and Austen not proffer opinions.  They don't seem to be that into anything other than having a good time.

But also, all of these members seem to know people around town who wouldn't be down with BLM, so they may not want to alienate them.

I don't think any of them would display something like the Confederate flag -- they're more polished than that.  But they may resent people from outside the state telling them they should remove the flag and other Civil War symbols.

They probably don't care because they don't have to care.  They don't have to worry about people calling the police on them for just existing.
