  1. I wasn't a fan of that specific dramatization of PTSD either. Hope Aunt Vi becomes a part time sketch artist since she did such an impressive job sketching the perpetrator when Robyn was abducted. Ideally Vi could drop in on 1-2 cases a season when a client needs to describe a suspect or help the NYPD as contractor. That gives Aunt Vi a storyline outside the home yet somewhat connected to our crew of heroes.
  2. The cops investigate a double homicide on the farm, the police chief knew about Darlene's operation and warns Ruth not to take over, yet the cops don't search the barn right next to the house. Ruth begs Wyatt to leave town and start over. She finally has the chance to escape with her younger cousin and the pile of cash in the hotel safe. Instead she takes over Darlene's business. The writing is excluding common sense and ignoring character motivations.
  3. I understand the writers are trying to tell a story about slut-shaming and grooming via Billie, but Prosper's role in that story doesn't track. Prosper and Vi long-time close friends so he'd have known how abusive and awful Jimmy Dale was to Vi. Prosper would've wanted to protect his school-aged daughter from a known abuser. Perhaps Vi blindly labeled Billie as "the other woman" but I don't see how Prosper didn't take a shotgun and run Jimmy Dale outta town. Davis was an accessory to rape and I remain disappointed he's Charlie's love interest. RA and Darla up to their necks in payday loans when Darla has wealthy eager parents she's reconciled with, RA has a rich sister who offered to help and an author who just got paid by outing his paternity. People actually struggling with no family to help might find RA and Darla absurd.
  4. Rutina delivers lines like her character is center stage at a spoken word event. I appreciate the content but the tone doesn't reflect a private conversation at home.
  5. Micah is not grown. He's not even financially independent. Has he ever had a part-time job? I did not get the impression he received a full scholarship which means his tuition and expenses will be on his parents' dime. The fact Micah curated a separate secret list of schools was dishonest and deceitful. At the very least, Micah should have discussed his thoughts with his parents. As a compromise, he could have tried Harvard for a year then transferred out. His decision was made from a place of privilege. Illustrates being 18 makes you a legal adult but the maturity takes time. Of course, we know the character is attending Xavier so he can continue to be part of the show rather than the odd drop-in like his pops. I'm glad he's sticking around. I agree, Nova can kick rocks. I wish they'd extended Nova's redemption arc and made her put in more work to earn her family's trust.
