  1. Ditto to all tbe above. However more importantly, last week is the series finale?!? I thought we'd have a few more episodes! I guess they'll just rush through the whole resolution: Charlotte and Colbourne will get together, Harry & Georgiana will not, Mary might die or not. Lady Denham will bail on her marriage to Pryce (what's yours is mine", my ass dude!), and Lady Susan and the Barrister will get together. But what of Edward (do I really care at this point?! Lady D will probably give him the house now that he's done one good thing on his life), Jolly, and where are Mary and Tom's children? I hope the finale is longer and resolves storylines.

Don't think my questions belong on the show thread, so I am posing them here to you posters who are way more show savvy then me. First, the show seemed to start eliminating sets, stylists, good costuming, and writers. Now, younger trending characters like Ally, Faith, Noah, Moses, & Amira have gone missing. My question is could the cumulative salaries/benefits to "old guard" characters like Victor, Nikki, Jack, Sharon, Ashley, Nick, Phyllis, Victoria, Billy and the remaining "writer" JG be dragging this show down financially? Because IMO, these characters have all passed their expiration dates of being young (or for the most part restless) and the writing is dull as dust. IMO, somebody needs to hit the "refresh" button on the show and scripts. Hugs to all the posters here that are having health challenges, wishing speedy recoveries to you all, and the show too!

If you post the above in the "Reel to Real" thread you might get more traction there!

    @PatsyandEddie, How're you doing?!?

Apparently these two already bought a house in Lehi. 4200 square feet but some people are saying unfinished basement and loft so not finished 4200. 4 bedroom.

Maybe that's why she "needs" freebies. Sigh.

Truely moving again. Correction. - they already moved?

Yes! Thanks for this info, @valen! I did the same $5 a month and have access to so much now! And on demand!
(my mother said that I learned how to read watching Sesame Street when it came on in 1969, and I’ve watched so much PBS through the years, I felt I owe them at least something. I am hoping to increase my monthly donation a little bit because I guess I owe them after all these years!)

It took me years to donate but I watch so much PBS that it felt right to do. Good for you, and now you have Passport too!

I am happy for Christine and I hope this is a happily ever after situation for her, and for her children and his. She deserves all good things after putting up with Kotex and the shitty life he had her trapped in.

That said, I certainly hope she's not fishing for freebies as in, "gift me wedding shit and you'll be on the show/I'll pimp you on social media" bullshit.

So Phyllis just leaves the hotel room with her face and hands splattered with blood? And also somehow managed to find a tarp in which to wrap up Stark's body? Suuuure, show. Suuuuure.

Wait, so SyPh killed Stark?! Holy shit, that's fanfuckingtastic! I love it! Hahahaha. Now she'll end up in the clink for murder, but before that, she'll exonerate Diane and try to get Diane to exonerate her. Hahahaha...like that's gonna happen...

    Thanks for asking gingerella!

The mister and the SIL feel much better. I am extremely fatigued today. I have fibromyalgia but this tiredness is even worse. I’m just glad that the grand that has it has nothing more than a runny nose.
Loving the snark on this forums. Show is soooo bad that the jokes write themselves

I found that for about 4-5 weeks after I tested negative and was officially out of quarantine, I was very fatigued and mentally spacey. Those are common after effects and I found it took about 2 weeks to clear my brain fog, and another 2-3 weeks to get back up to my normal walking/daily about town speed again. Just take it very easy and allow yourself to rest as needed. I was told to not push it because it could prolong recovery.

Can you even imagine how you'd feel if you hadn't gotten vaxxed?!

  9. @jewel21I think a lot of folks are struggling the past year. I suspect it's because we're coming out of the unusual experience of lock down, and people are trying to act like things are back to normal but in reality Covid is still here, as you, Pasty and I well know. On top of that there is, IMO, a lot of anxiety over people who are still trying to engage in safe practices like giving people distance when you're in lines, etc., masking indoors, etc. And workplaces may be acting like it's business as usual when it's not. We will never go back to what life before Covid, IMO. We can't because too many people didn't do what was asked if them and the result is a virus that has muted beyond control (I say this as a public health specialist). So I think that causes a lot more stress, anxiety and a sort of social mourning fit life before Covid, if that makes sense..

    It's not just you. xo

  10. Is it just me, or does Danny remind anyone else of a Crypt Keeper? And that grimace that seems to be his only solution to every emotion the script is asking of him? Did he over do the botox to reprise his glory role of a lifetime as Danny Romalotti? Or is rigor mortice setting in?  And my GOD, the serenade...And now, I shall regale you all with my mediocre musical rendition of an original caterwaul dedicated to the dead dumpster humper that was SyPhyllis...

Jesus H. Roosevelt Christ on a cracker. Just STOP already Show, STOP IT NOW.

Thanks peeps! We’re both super tired and coughing today but we know it could be worse.
Our toddler granddaughter has it as do her parents.
    WTF universe.
gingerella, thanks for the offer of Jeeves but we are muddling through.😘 I think it will be over in a day or two.

Definitely take the Paxlovid if you can get it, it'll help speed things up and reduce anything else. I had two bad days, then the rest were like a bad cold. Cough it all up baby! xo At least you don't have to quarantine in your own home from hubby so that makes it easier for you both I think. I ate lots of warm comforting things, like I lived on pastina. Just relax and take it easy, when you start to feel better in a few days, I found taking baby walks outside helped.

I know 100% that I'm a club of one over here, but I have a soft spot for Cricket.  We're the same age, so we grew up together, and Cricket has always had a capacity for forgiveness.  Except for Phyllis...that grudge never died.  Hmmm, I wonder why?

    Expand

Snaporaz, you gotta move over and let me squeeze in a bit. I like Cricket too.  She's been the only person in GC who's kept a clear-eyed view of who Phyllis really is and always has been.

    I like Cricket too....

  13. OMG, this was such a shit snow today! It's so obvious that was SyPh, no way nobody couldn't recognize her in that lame get up. And how did she manage to get the exact same outfits the help had at the club? And dont get me started when Miss Jack looked DIRECTLY AT her. Come the fuck ON.

I did laugh at Starks tiny collared shirt and little tie. He is such a schlub.

My eulogy would be a bit different than Jackie's though...mine woukd say, 'She was a scene eating monster who made the worst twisty porny arms in sex scenes, and she sqwaked and cuh-cawed her way through life, dumpster humping whenever the chance presented itself. She was a psycho piece of shit human being, and we're all glad to be rid if her stank ass.'

Wouldn't the eldest Colbourne be the one marrying up?  Isn't he a solicitor, a working man?  He and Dad Colbourne don't have titles.

IIRC, Simon Colbourne is indeed a solicitor in London, but IIRC, he was originally the elder Colbourne brother and thus Lord or whatever if his family seat. But he abandoned that right and left his younger brother. Xander, to take up the family seat.

While I like her with the good Colborne brother in principal, it is just another unneccesary happy ending being shoehorned in.

To this I say, 'oh pish tosh!' Lady Susan is yet another woman trying to make it in this Georgian era man's world. If she ends up in a love match with a gentleman of the gentry, hurrah and huzzah I say!
