  1. Ok but nobody is ever more than a number to anyone else in Survivor. That's not something that just happened to Will because he's a special snowflake.
  2. One of the things I found fascinating about this whole clusterfuck that Ken caused, is that after Ken went to Jay, and exposed Will, they showed Will standing with Zeke's alliance, obviously pissed off at Ken, and he said something like: "Screw it. There are 5 of us!" (or words to that effect) I understand that Zeke's alliance needed Will's vote so they had to be nice about it but I just found it fascinating how Will seemed to think he could just fall back into that alliance as if nothing had ever happened. Sure, technically there were 5 of them but there was really no more "us". I mean, there was an "us" but Will was no longer part of that. He was simply a number that Zeke's alliance needed but he pretty much cemented his place firmly at the bottom of that totem pole. Of course not. That goes without saying. But seeing as how this turned out to be a major issue that climaxed with Will being the swing vote in a crucial TC, you'd think that the editors would have shown some of these issues along the way, purely from a story telling perspective.
  3. Or he had nothing to contribute. Which is why I was asking for an example. What decisions did his alliance ever cut him out of? Did he ever disagree with the plan and his alliance blew him off because of his age? What plan did he ever offer to his alliance and they shot him down? I'm not saying he's done nothing but I honestly don't remember him ever offering up a plan and his alliance ignoring him. Because that seems to be the gist of why he's upset. As for Adam, why on earth is it bad game play to not trust the guy who just flipped on his alliance, then flipped back, then waffled back and forth for the rest of the time?
  4. Well, he may not be like that at all, but he sure kinda acted like it this past episode. You can't walk around whining that nobody respects your game play when you haven't actually done anything. Maybe somebody can refresh my memory but has he ever come up with a great plan that his alliance discounted? Because if not, I don't know how he can be upset about it. Oh, I just realized we're actually in the Ken thread. Pretty, pretty Ken.
  5. I didn't see that as a wry smile. I saw it more as "That's a dick move but I'm gonna shake it off and not stoop to that level".
  6. I completely disagree. There have been several instances where David used his idol and I was like "D'OH!" but, in this case, nobody had any way of knowing which way Will was going to vote. The way he was flip-flopping and whining about wanting to be seen as a grown-up, it was hard to tell which side he was actually more pissed at. Adam could have saved his idol and risked that Will would vote with them, or he could have played his idol and guaranteed that Zeke went home. There are some idol plays that are just dumb (David saving Jessica that early in the game...really??) but this one seemed like a good use, even if it didn't end up mattering after all. I don't think the jury will see that as anything except a wise game move.
  7. I still want to know the stuff that's none of my business. Like why it took 4 years for this woman to contact him. Was he in hiding? Did she need Maury Povich to confirm who the father was? Enquiring (nosy) minds want to know! I think he really did grab Jay like the second they got back. At least that's what Will said and I believe him because Ken had pretty much lost his mind at that point so discretion wasn't his main priority.
  8. Upon rewatching it, Ken was pointing to himself, Adam had his hands together making that praying/ begging motion and Brett said out loud "Jay. Please!" So, yeah, they were all begging, not just Ken.
  9. And that's what makes Jay so likely to win. I bet every guy there thinks they have a nice little bromance with Jay. I remember Boston Rob saying how important it is to make each player think you have a special relationship with just them and, whether he meant to or not, Jay seems to have mastered that.
  10. I agree. I don't doubt that him and David probably joked around about their neuroses but, in that moment at TC, that was not a lighthearted kidding around comment. Not buying it for a second.
  11. I think if Jay gets anywhere near that final 3 (final 2?), he's got it in the bag.
  12. Seriously. I almost DIED laughing at that comment. 1) Because it was funny 2) Because it was so true!
  13. Ha! Droning on about things like moonlight and lavender is exactly how I pictured Ken's personality. I glanced at his Twitter account the other day (I shall stalk it more thoroughly at a later date) and I noticed that he posted a meme about how he wished the "man cave" would disappear and the "study" would come back in style because books are awesome. Or words to that effect. He's definitely a poetic soul.
  14. You don't remember last week's game of Telephone? "Jay has an idol." "Did you hear? Jay has an idol." "We can confirm that Jay has an idol." "So Jay does have an idol purple monkey dishwasher."
  15. I'm assuming that the rest of Ken's alliance swooped in to do damage control and we just weren't shown it. At that point, Will just wanted people to respect his authoritah and David seems like he'd be able to kiss ass better than Zeke.
  16. I'm so curious about this whole situation. How come he didn't know about his daughter until she was 4 yrs old? Did the babymama not know he was the dad? Was he living so far "off the grid" that she couldn't find him to tell him? Maybe it's none of my business but since he's mentioned not knowing about her in interviews, I don't too feel guilty for wondering what the whole story is there.
  17. Yes! LMAO! This seems like the perfect description. And, if I'm being totally honest, I can see how he might be insufferable to some people. Like when he was telling Hannah about the early morning sun, she said "Yeah, you told me that" and then he finished telling her again anyway. It made me wonder if he's one of those people who constantly walks around dropping random hipster knowledge, repeating it so often, he tells people the same stuff over and over again. He might be one of those people who would annoy the ever-loving crap out of me if I knew him (because, hipsters...ugh!) but for some reason it doesn't bother me with Ken. I think it's probably because he IS SO FREAKING HOT seems like a nice guy.
  18. I see literally no positive outcome by going to Jay. Unless there was some editing that left out some massive footage, Ken was one big WTF for me this episode.
  19. She was correct both times so you can still like her :)
  20. Yes, I don't remember the TC comment but I definitely remember him saying how important it was to notice who was sleeping next to each other.
  21. I got a kick out of Hannah and Zeke ogling the 2 brothers.
  22. Not that I disagree with it. I'm glad someone tipped her off so she could decide for herself what to do, but she didn't just suddenly decide the game wasn't important out of the blue.
  23. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that "feeling" was actually a tip from someone on staff that her mom was near the end.
  24. Oh, Ken. You're so smart pretty! I didn't get the impression that he was offended, more that he was shocked and made a bonehead move out of panic. I don't think he has any shot of winning but I want him to make it to the final TC because I really really like looking at him. Why, yes, the water is great here in the shallow end, thanks for asking! The interactions between Jay and Adam tonight were sweet. That was nice to see. I realized tonight that I really love Hannah. I should probably find her annoying but I just think she's adorkable. I also loved Will inadvertently weighing in on our goat discussion!
  25. Maybe it's just something random like that's the order they happened to walk into TC in so that's the order they sat in?
