Could be a number of reasons. Maybe she auditioned to see if they would keep her? Maybe some of the other girls leaving inspired her to go? She could have been wavering about if all during the off-season and something took place in training camp that helped her make that decision. Hopefully we will see what happens during the show.

Good for Alora Rose! I know there are probably plenty of people going "what was she thinking?!" for leaving, but I actually respect her for it. Better to realize it's not your thing & leave for bigger & better things then to linger for years with the fear of being cut hanging over your head every season.

And let's not forget that Kelli & Judy say some pretty negative stuff about the girls too. I mean hello, Christina felt pressure to go under the knife & get her boobs done because they criticized how small her chest was yet I don't see that IG poster calling them out for stealing the joy of the cheerleaders!

LOL! It's rather funny that the person who created this IG page is calling us Karens for critiquing or calling out stuff, but they took the time to make a page that's all about critiquing & calling out stuff. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

Amen to this! I get that they are dragging out the final cuts for drama, but for years I've thought that was stupid as it prevents them from finalizing their positions until the last minute. I'd forgo the drama just to give them the extra time to allow them to be able to finesse everything.

I agree. Everyone has different preferences when it comes to what attracts them. This discussion reminds me of one of my favorite youtube artists (a gal called Julie Nolke) who did a video in which she explained why guys might like one type of girl while not liking another type using Buffalo chicken versus Teriyaki chicken. There's nothing wrong with either type of chicken per se, but it just comes down to certain factors. So if every other girl on the team is in demand for being Buffalo style, Lea shouldn't be made to feel bad if she's Teriyaki because there are people who love & want Teriyaki. Anyway, I just think this discussion should not be what defines Lea on the team. There are probably other factors about her that have yet to be revealed that make her a great cheerleader. Oh and in case anyone is curious about the video I mentioned.....

Poor Lea looks like she's straining to maintain the leg lift. If you look at their expressions & neck positions, Kelee seems more relaxed while Lea's neck muscles seem to be tense from her holding her posture up & that smile kind of makes it look like she's inwardly screaming, "oh my God! Hold on and keep smiling."

Madeline S. looks so pretty! I'm glad she is getting the chance to shine as a legacy without Victoria around because I think if Victoria had been there, Madeline's screentime would either have been minimized or Victoria's would have gone into hyperdrive.

Hmm, I don't think this is a totally flattering picture. I'd have to see how she dances & comes across on the show before I make a total assessment. She seems cute, but I don't know that she has the look & the full package.

What year is the first picture from? I've never thought there was an issue with her figure and to be fair, when you are bent over like she is here, most people would get a little bit of roll. I would have to see an earlier pic of her standing up to be able to compare her to how she is now, but I will say she looks great in the 2nd pic.

Oh wow! I had no idea about Victoria being moved up to Gina's spot. What kind of mistake did she make? Well then maybe I should have said that she shouldn't get moved up (even though she may through Kelli's favoritism) if she returns.

I think with Lisa a lot will depend on how her recovery goes. You don't want to mess around with neck injuries and considering how much they toss their head about while dancing, it would not be good for her to come back before she's fully healed and cleared by a doctor. As for Victoria, while I agree that it's very likely that she will make it back to the team next season should she try out again (baring injury, weight gain or a total degradation of her dance skills or attitude towards the work), she won't be put to the front, at least not next season. If Kelli were to do that for her after a year of being gone (while there will be other more deserving returning vets who stuck around), it would look very bad.

It's going to be so nice to not be overdosed with Victoria this season. I'm curious what the vibe will be like without Kelli's favorite there.

You make a very good point. One of the things I've noticed over the seasons is that Judy and Kelli (more so Kelli) tend to give new ideas or certain outside opinions some side-eye which is why I think an outside recruit with fresh ideas & input (while I think that's desperately needed) is unlikely. For all their talk of this being a world class organization that's innovative & diverse, It also feels like a small family business that's really slow on implementing new ideas and likes to keep a lot of family, close friends and legacies around.

LOL! I think the show is contractually obligated to mention the "Kelli Knot" in every season. I wouldn't be surprised if the "Kelli Knot" is trademarked at this point so that when Kelli does retire, she can get residuals every time someone mentions or shows the process of doing one of her knots.

Does anyone know why Texie was retired? Hmm, maybe she got caught in a compromising position with Rowdy & Kelli had to give her the boot. "Texie tonight is your last night."

Apparently that is Texie, the Cheerleaders Mascot who was named after Texie Waterman the original choreographer for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. I tried searching for more info about her, but all I could find was this youtube clip of her at what looks like a Junior DCC practice in 2009 and in a picture that Kelli posted on Twitter in 2012 displayed on a platter like some kind of creepy trophy.
