I’m wondering if there will be the slightest bit of blowback from Kristina and Alexis once it comes out that Sonny did it and was ok with letting them suffer for him. Alexis might call him out but Kristina should really be done with him after all this and I doubt they’ll allow her to do that. Like IA with Sonny that Ric is projecting his own issues onto Molly and Alexis but being smug trying to claim the moral high ground over Ric for hurting his daughter’s mother made me roll my eyes considering he could easily come forward with the truth but god knows he doesn’t care enough

Unless the actress playing BL is pregnant IRL again, I don’t get why they’d be writing in a pregnancy for them. They already ended up with Violet and Molly/Kristina, Sasha, and Michael/Willow have all had extended baby related SLs within the past 3 years so I can’t think of anything new they could cover for BL/Chase, especially given how boring they are. A cheating/WTD story would be the obvious trope to go with but if they wanted to do that, Willow is already set up for that storyline.

Sonny is complete scum to stand by while Alexis gets arrested for a crime he committed knowing she’s only doing it because she thinks the PCPD will go after their daughter next.

Usually they act like Diane is the greatest lawyer on the planet who can easily get clients who are 100% guilty acquitted but suddenly, she thinks it’s a forgone conclusion that Alexis will be convicted of murder solely based on the evidence of her maybe dumping a gun and a single instance of her getting angry at the victim because he was railroading her daughter. The fact that they haven’t located said gun (and it would eliminated as the gun that was used in the crime if they did), there would be no physical evidence or witnesses to tie her to the crime scene, and the fact that absolutely no one thinks she could have committed the murder is somehow irrelevant. While Sonny was you know, on the property at the time the murder was committed, has access to unregistered guns, is a mob boss with a long standing feud with the victim, and his “airtight” alibi is his ex wife with a history of lying to the cops on his behalf.

Carly: I miss that Lulu, the one who got me, the one I got into trouble with. I miss my cousin, I want her back IIRC, Lulu and Carly were close for maybe 5 years on the show max but they weren’t peers palling around. Carly was more of a mentor or had an aunt type relationship with her given the age difference with Lulu being a teen/very YA during that time period. They weren’t close during the last decade before Lulu went into a coma so I guess we’re going to get a massive rewrite.

FH was playing her scenes with MB last year super weird as well. I remember a lot of people wondering if Anna/Sonny were going to be paired.

I’m loathe to defend Diane because I typically think she sucks but in this case, she’s probably advising Alexis to tell the truth because Alexis didn’t do it and is making herself look suspicious by being evasive to cover for Kristina. Her actions would make sense if she thought Kristina committed the murder but she doesn’t. She’s just afraid Kristina will stay something stupid once she’s questioned and the suspicion will fall on her. It’s insane to risk going on trial for murdering a fed because she doesn’t think Kristina can led an attorney direct the questioning and give a truthful statement.

Well to be fair, the show is treating her as even more disconnected than normal lately. Her mom and sisters are on a lot and she has practically no involvement in their story while Dante talks about Lulu every time we see him. Exactly. He’s willing to throw Alexis to the wolves since he doesn’t care about her. Pretty sure Kristina would be at the PCPD in a heartbeat to confess that she had the gun and her mom dumped it because she thought Kristina was going to use it to harm herself but that would leave Sonny at the sole suspect.

Oh I’m sure Sonny will only once Alexis and Kristina have been raked over the coals and will be lauded as a hero for confessing to protect his daughter when we know he’s admitting to a crime he was guilty of and would gladly let someone else take the fall if it wasn’t one of his kids. While I loved Molly dismissing Michael today, they’re definitely setting her up to be blinded by her negative feelings towards Kristina and will go all in on getting her charged with this murder. We already saw Ric in TJ’s ear the other day and I’ll think he’ll work on Molly as well. He’ll easily manipulate the 2 of them to believe that the whole family will cover for Kristina’s crime and he’s the only one who cares about them because that’s already what they want to believe. We’ll see if Molly actually sees through Ric and that he was willing to push the cops towards Alexis as a suspect even though he didn’t think she did it because he’s an asshole. I doubt it with the way they’re writing her now but she’s the main one who needs the blinders off regarding Ric because she’s not a child anymore.

Lulu’s never been my favorite character but I think Alexa matches up to JMB pretty well and from what I remember, her version was the one people liked, not ER’s girl reporter, Pinterest mom version. So I think the casting will make fans of the character happy.

I know it’s realistic but I hope that Alexis doesn’t relapse. Mostly because she’s already had 2 extended alcoholism SLs in the past decade and was shown consistently struggling with it even during her sober years, which rarely happens on this show. They’ve already played every SL beat I can possibly think of with that type of storyline with her so anything more would be a rehash.

I think they’ll walk back on Drew being a deadbeat. It’s not like he and Carly are together anymore and Willow was calling him an amazing father the other day. He lives at the Q mansion so there’s a dozen other adults and kids there to spend time with Scout if he’s busy with work. Danny is more of a question mark. I’m not sure if they’ll opt to have him say he wants to stay with his sister to give Jason an out from parenting him or Carly will finally get her dream and have Jason move in with her so they can raise him together. Either way, I don’t think we’ll be seeing much of either kid outside of the holidays so any parenting will be onscreen.

Maybe I’m being callous or missing something but I don’t think Alexis is responsible for actively parenting her grown children. Choosing to support loved ones in a difficult time IA with but expecting her and only her to drop everything and be there for 2 adults who have others in their support system is extreme. Like what are Sonny, Sam, TJ etc doing? Maybe Alexis could actually be there for both of her daughters if everyone else wasn’t prioritizing their own lives

I got what he was trying to do but he couldn’t resist making it a Sonny’s daughter versus his daughter thing, which is just him transferring his own issues with his mother onto Molly and Alexis’ relationship. Alexis’ issue isn’t that she favors Kristina because she’s Sonny’s kid. She tends to worry more about the kid who’s struggling the most which makes Molly’s feel neglected at times. And like she said, she’s been there and trying for Molly’s entire life. He’s mostly been on the other side of the country aside from a couple years since Molly was a toddler so if he thinks his daughter needed more attention, he certainly wasn’t doing anything to help matters and unlike Alexis, his attention wouldn’t have been divided over 3 children.

I’m almost positive she did because she’s still taping and Sam being killed off is a huge spoiler that I can’t see the show releasing that far ahead of time. Like I said yesterday, they never talk about cast exits anymore, even when we hear about it from other sources.

I can’t see the show going quite that dark. If anything, Sam will die in some freak accident and it’ll be the catalyst for Kristina and Molly to make up without working through their issues since they just lost a sister.

I do agree that Kelly has a lot of fans but I’d be shocked if there were a lot of people still tuning into the show to watch just for her. The actual show, not clips of her that people post online or people who discuss the show on Twitter but clearly aren’t watching. She hasn’t had a storyline for years so what would they be tuning in for? I’m sure she’ll have fans who speak out about her firing and launch a campaign but I don’t know if her exit will impact the ratings at all

I think they could do a lot with this story but I’m not sure if they’ll try since the ones who would be most impacted aren’t characters that they currently write much for.

I think DZ is a good actor but Dante has always been boring to me. Even when he was on every day and got story after story. He’s the nice responsible guy that’s the safe choice

Yeah I could kind of see that when they kept temp recasting for her these nothing scenes. It always had a hint of telling her how replaceable she is

This is insanely abrupt but I don’t think it would make sense for Sam to leave town as an exit. Her whole family and both of her kid’s fathers and their families are here

His scenes with Alexis sound like they have some potential but Carly being in the middle of his first scenes with Liz made me roll my eyes. Not saying Carly shouldn’t hate him because of course she should but we know she’s going to take over the scene with her screeching and it kinda sounds like RiH hasn’t shot anything else with Becky yet.

I’m honestly so confused as to why they recast the character and brought her back to town because she seems so disconnected to everyone when she is on. She’s not at the PCPD anymore and there’s not a big need to feature a character as the assistant mayor, we hardly even see Laura doing anything as the actual mayor. Jordan hasn’t had a love interest since she came back aside from a random ONS with a dayplayer who hasn’t been on since. Her only friend is Anna whose friendship they’ve pretty much forgotten about. I suspect that they limit how much they give her with TJ because every time they share solo scenes together, they look more like siblings or bf/gf than mother/son. She’s not the only actor whose close in age IRL with the actor playing their child but she also doesn’t give off a maternal energy in their scenes to combat it like LLC does with DZ.

Several others brought up adoption to Molly before they decided to go the surrogacy route. She didn’t want to because TJ “deserved” to have a biological child. That was the first sign for me that she wasn’t ready to have a kid and should have worked through her issues with her diagnosis before pursing this. TJ wasn’t insistent on having a biological child and it always sounded like she felt guilty about her medical issues being the reason that they couldn’t have a child the traditional way so she was trying to essentially fix things the best she could. Not using an egg donor was for an equally stupid reason- they were told that they’d have to start back over at the bottom of the list after the first surrogate miscarried and they didn’t want to wait. Keep in mind that it had only been like 6 months since they decided to do a surrogacy in the first place and in that time, they had already selected a surrogate who got pregnant and miscarried. It’s not like they were waiting around for years. Molly and TJ were just being immature and are a cause of a lot of their own problems. TJ never wanted to use Kristina as the surrogate, basically changed his mind for 2 weeks and as soon as she got pregnant, every time we saw him, he was bitching about Kristina and making it obvious that he thought her being their surrogate was all a big mistake.
