  1. Have to soak and de-stem. I always mix collard, mustard and turnip greens. Am lazy today, but maybe for the memorial day weekend!
  2. Hi Pounders! First time on real live chat! Mod Princess-Purrs-a-Lots' image of the cat with the remote and snacks really did it for me--you are my peeps! My eating habit: blackeye peas w/saltpork, and homemade skillet cornbread. I am Fresno, CA Armenian, but my husband has southern roots by way of Morristown NJ. I am totally familiar with biscuits with "white" gravy, we call it "country gravy" here, better with pepper. Is tater tot casserole better with meat (ground beef) or not. Inquiring minds want to know.... Thank you all for the company... husband and grown son occasionally tune in.. they loved Mercedes' "no salad zone" comment but really think i'm totally weird. The show does better with wine for sure, but it's a work night for me.... Carbon Cat himself loves steamed asparagus, melon, and low-salt crackers of any kind. Dr. Now might approve, but not the vet! Love to you all!
  3. I haven't commented on this forum before, but....I'm speechless... I've watched all the L & O shows starting from the original, Season 1, and they are still my default watch almost every day (they are on day and night on various channels here). I second all the above comments. It's beyond bad... OMG.....
  4. Probably her drugs... that Justin disappeared the next day can't be coincidence...
  5. This looks like the same apartment Steven Assanti had, or at least the same complex. How the hell did he fit through that admittedly narrow bathroom door?
  6. Hi, fellow Pounders! I've been lurking for a while, but after Mercedes, and then Angie (!), I had to sign up. The show has been a late-night guilty pleasure for some years, but after I was off work recently for five months after major back surgery I've been snarking along with you. I originally found the poundicipants inspirational and touching, but the weekly shower-with-the-clear-curtain/close-up-of shoveled-breakfast/hour-long-road-(there's nothing to eat on the road but fast food--it's a no-salad zone all the way) the droning voice overs etc...following your hilarious comments is the best part of the show. We have an early west coast showing, but I will watch later so Mr. Carboncat can watch baseball. Can't wait for the Angie J. rewatch and the Assanti bros. update next week. It's great having other folks out there I can share this with, and I've learned so much...like, Tater Tot Casserole!
