"I'm exhausted!" -- "I'm working sooo haaard!" -- "If I don't get this weight loss surgery, I don't know what I'll doooo!" -- "You mean there's actual nutrition information on food labels, dietician lady? I had nooo idea!" Gina had a whole lotta chances to do a whole lotta nothing. And the once a month bathing thing will haunt me and give me the shivers for months to come.

If that isn't a perfect, succinct summary of these characters, I don't know what is.

Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage
littlebennysmom replied to Maverick's topic in Commercials
It's Candace Cameron Bure, famous for being in "Full House", "Fuller House", dunning non born again Christians (they're hellbound!), and tuna breath. -
I understand your point, ALLEC17. It was a lot of time to spend on such a nonsense case. However, I get why JJ kept interrupting and belittling those two moron plaintiffs -- because they came into court with an injured, smug attitude yet caused all the problems they were bitching about. Young girl/mother/leech had all the smarts of a potato, and mother in law was a busybody with a capital B who kept interrupting the defendant's testimony and even said during the case her son was violent. I actually thought JJ was restrained given her increasingly hair trigger temper lately.

That daughter in law/mother in law duo were some real dim bulbs. The girl's father is well shed of her vindictive foolishness. And the plaintiff mil is going to get exactly what she deserves out of this -- at least 18 more years of nonsense and heartache by enabling these 2 young idiots. That poor baby.

Watching season 10, laughing at the fact they made the nurse Sam a carbon copy of Abby (tough, knows more than the docs, has difficult personal life, etc.). And the whole instant relationship thing with Luka ("I don't want anything exclusive", 5 minutes later after seeing Luka kiss Jillian in the hallway she heaves a suture kit at him OVER THE BODY OF THE PATIENT the group is trying to revive) makes me think the same writers who developed Abby had some weird attraction to frowning, obnoxious women.

Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage
littlebennysmom replied to Maverick's topic in Commercials
January is the month for all the commercials for diets, workout places, exercise equipment, etc. but the Weight Watchers one with Oprah doing her overdone word emphasis (bread. LOVERRRR!) annoys the crap out of me. -
Watching the season 10 premiere (Now What?) where Carter returns from Africa. His reaction to Abby's eye rolling, "give me back my key" nonsense seemed so unrealistic. He saw the worst of poverty, illness, and was this close to being shot in the forehead. I would think her "poor me, I've been so WRONGED" shit would have had him laughing his way out of her jank apartment, saying "au revoir, la pute!"

S05.E04: Semi-Final and Final
littlebennysmom replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in The Great American Baking Show
Who would have thought that one host known for middling level football and one known for annoying poses/centipede eyelashes would be a crappy fit as baking show hosts? ABC should have known. The nicest word I can use to describe this duo is tiresome. No. No it wasn't. We'll all chip in to buy these bowls for your personal use if the network would drop them. Do we have a deal? -
S08.E01 John and Lonnie LIVE CHAT

I predict Mom will only help John because he's "normal" (God help us). -
That plaintiff and his witness -- do you think their strategy going in was "let's look and sound as unhinged as possible, I'll glare at the judge with my head tipped down for maximum hostility/stubbornness, you jump up and yell out 'that camper was our home!' while trying to frown JJ to death, this will cinch it for us!"?

Holiday Baking Championship - General Discussion

I'm with you, it's gross and borderline pervy on her part. I've said it in earlier comments, if it was a male judge feeding the female host/eye candy off his fork like a creepy uncle, there'd be a lot more negative commenting.- 2.4k replies

Karina's speech sounds like South Park's Shelly Marsh in the Cat Orgy episode -- "Skylar! (slurp!) Cut it out! (slurp!)"

Bah ha ha! She was something else. The fact she has a boyfriend (though I'm sure that word is her catch all for "degenerate, brainless, gun toting fool") means I'm more pathetic than she is. Or more discerning, whatevs. I guess there's someone out there for me if I drop my standards entirely!

A frozen pond in the backyard for skating is also a big thing in Michigan, and the ice is always a cloudy bluish white. If you can see the grass underneath, it isn't thick enough to skate on. -

Geoffrey seemed over confident, though if I knew another contestant was going to combine hot cocoa with mint to go with her key lime cheesecake, I would feel like I could thaw a Sara Lee and still get into the final. Chocolate and key lime aren't mutually exclusive, but Jennifer's lazy oat crust (which turned out soggy) should have gotten her eliminated. -

Watching the 2015 HBC marathon that's running before tonight's new episode. The contestants were quite memorable -- Adalberto was robbed! Robbed, I tell you! Though Maeve would have most likely stabbed him to death in front of our very eyes. Girl was INTENSE!- 2.4k replies

Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage
littlebennysmom replied to Maverick's topic in Commercials
I don't think it's a political correctness issue, at least not for me. It's just such a laughable bunch of bs, a $3k stationary bike given as a Christmas gift to a wife, her brow scrunching earnestness/help me expression, the "video journal", etc. It's like an SNL skit. -

Two bakers, Dwight and Janet, chose vanilla cupcakes? Couldn't believe it, but then thought they were being strategic -- you never know when the mid challenge twist will be "incorporate cloves!" or "include wasabi!" Dwight is a good looking man, but the hair styled to a point on the top of his head and scraggly beard hanging off his chin seem like an ill advised plan to make his face seem longer. Unnecessary, his eyes are great, smooth that hair tuft/shave that chin!- 2.4k replies

I'd like to hear your theories on Malucci going inexplicably blonde, as well as the steadily increasing level of annoying written into the character of Rachel Greene!
-
Watching lots of episodes one after the other as POP airs 8 each on Wednesday and Thursday. It's been great to see the many early episodes I'd missed from season 1 forward, but I can't believe how the feeling of the show changes for the worse starting in season 6, accelerating rapidly in season 7. Abby Lockhart is an absolutely miserable character, I had forgotten how much I disliked her.

That woman's lower lip looked like a lipstick covered Vienna sausage.

The defendants were roommates, not father and son. What a couple of maroons, between "I didn't SEE the enormous, capital letters, bolded tow away zone signs" guy and "I have proof the tow operator is a thief with a long criminal history, here's a Trapper Keeper full of my opinions" guy, I couldn't decide who was more annoying. The hallterview had losing Trapper Keeper guy using the old standby "at the end of the day, it is what it is". Instead of the much more appropriate "I was shredded in there, it was probably a bad idea to come on national television".
