I really don't know but I think they'll start building up to it soon, I suspect that Mark started taping which means we'll have Adam back during the May sweeps. Going backwards on Mal and Sussman's writing would be stupid, honestly. The best way to bring Adam back is to shock everyone, The Great Victor Newman included!

It would be over the top to see Victor stumble across his dead son while in Vegas, no build-up, no tie-in... So anticlimactic, Josh can do so much better in setting up Adam's return. He didn't know, he was devastated in the aftermath of his death. Besides, his family hated his guts after they found out that he conspired with Chloe, why would he keep this information for himself when it could exonerate him in front of his loved ones?

I don't think it's Adam. It makes no sense.

I guess Mark's got some skills if he got the part. The problem is that if the performance won't be strong and memorable on one hand, and the stories will be dull and uncreative on the other, the character will get watered down quickly and fans will lose interest. And get pissed!

Yeah, it's kinda eerie. Besides, Mitch Eakins kinda resembles Paul, don't you think? Not really, it doesn't look like they put THAT much effort in the recast, after all. Hiring a newcomer in MM and JH's shoes it's bold and I believe that the kid deserves this chance but let's not forget what shoes he has to fill...

Let's hope so! Judith Chapman is also done at Days so maybe she'll join Greg on Y&R. It's so good to see that JH brings the show to it's former glory with all these big actors and characters coming back! Maybe Chloe will return too. Margaux Dawson doesn't really have a story of her own on GH so maybe they'll drop her altogether.

I read it on Soap Dirt this morning but given the source I don't buy it. But then again, they'd have to, considering Mark Grossman's age. This aside, I don't like that the ideea of Adam being paired with the younger generation (in Kyle, Lola, Summer's age bucket). I hope to God they don't go there! Can you imagine how creepy that would be? On another note, today we welcome Mitch Eakins on Y&R, as Brandon.

I'm welcoming Mark with open arms to play Adam. I'm just saying that he'll have to give his all to this performance. I was watching some scenes between Adam and Chelsea from 2013-ish and boy, this young fella's got his work cut out for him! I get what you're saying but I don't know... MS made Phyllis her own, imo, you loved to hate her. GT plays her all right but nothing about her clicks with the type of person Phyllis is, it's almost like she's trying too hard to make us buy her performance. With MS everything flows naturally, she is a much better fit to that role. Just my two cents.

Wow, JG really wants to bring the band back together now, doesn't he? If BM also returns in the role of Billy, I'll be completely sold on Y&R! The recent cast choices were poor and the fact that the veterans were pushed out by Mal & Co was really harsh for the die-hard fans. So the return of familiar faces in the roles they played for so long is always welcome, imho. All in all I never cared too much for Phyllis but I just can't stand GT playing her. She turned her into a complete and unlikeable bitch. Therefore, I think that anyone is better than her at this point. Even MS.

I get what you're saying but it's a stupid trope and it can only degrade a character like Adam. And Josh Griffith should know better! Adam is not like that, he's strong, ruthless and scheming but deep down he has a heart and loves his family. He would never abandon Chelsea and Connor. I think that if they write him carefully and we'll be able to see our dearly-departed Adam in this new actor, then the things will turn out fine. If not, they'll just piss off the entire fan base.

Can't wait to see what this young version of Adam brings to the table. I suspect his first airdate wil be sometime around June.

I was happy too but I just can't take this recast seriously. Never ever. In 2014, suspending the disbelief, I bought the fact that you can walk away from a burning car and turn into a supermodel (Muhney to Hartley recast), but going into that cabin in your 40s and coming out looking like a college freshman it's not happening. Unless that cabin was a fuckin' time machine, it's just not happening.

I'm not saying that this guy can't act but come on, man, he's too young, for Christ's sake! He could make for a good Noah recast but Adam? Hell no!

I think she'll accept the deal. She specifically said that she's open to return one day. Plus, unlike Hartley, she hasn't landed any big time gig, as she initially planned. If not, I guess they'll recast Chelsea. I don't see Adam returning without her, it wouldn't make sense.

So it's like I said, they're looking to bring back Chelsea and Connor too. Adam's return wouldn't make sense otherwise.

Haha, I guess so! Now that JT came out to play, Adam can take his place, stalking his family. Btw, there any news, does anybody know what actor will play Adam?

That's because some people are stupid. It's ridiculous to complain about Josh already, he hasn't worked his magic yet. I, personally, have great confidence in his writing, he's been here before and he gave us some dark stories, just like I prefer them. Sussman and Young gave us nothing but a borefest. Boring couples, boring characters, boring stories.
