I personally don't care if Lucas/Sami patch things up I just think Lucas should have a place on this show regardless because he has ties to other characters on this show not named Sami. I rather they have just committed to a long term love interest for him that isn't Sami. I hated that they got rid of Sheryl for nothing because they had chem, she was only interested in him and every story he had after that was terrible since.

I surprisingly didn't mind KL as Rex(even though I think Eric Winter was the better version of the character) his version was at least honest about his faults etc. I didn't even mind Rex/Sarah tbh because while I do enjoy Xander/Sarah I also find it unrealistic for Sarah to be with him despite everything (yes, I know that it's a soap but I digress). I think Rex/Sarah would have worked as a long term option if Xander wasn't in the picture. I do find it awkward he's returned to the show while his ex-wife is suing the show though.

They really should lean into the comedic element with these two.

This part is true actually she used to be a lot more grounded in reality until Lawrence/Carly/Nicky left the show then she became rather cartoonish after that (to me at least). I meant like in a private phone call to Ivan or something.

Speaking of Vivian did she mention or reference Stefan? I don't think I caught that part if she did this is why I think Stefan is returning sooner than later.

They almost had a fling but Gabi couldn't sleep with him because she couldn't stop thinking about Jake at the time(I believe he was involved with Kate). In retrospect both characters should've been paired because they were in a much better place than what their storylines ended up being after that flirtation ended. JJ/Gabi are a pitstop until Stefan's inevitable return. I do hope they at least have JJ in more family scenes when that happens ideally I wanted Joy with him but she's gone now.

She wanted to put the kid up for adoption and I think at one point wanted Will/Sonny to adopt them Sami said no. She even considered Eric/Nicole and Sami objected to that as well(at least that one I understood) Lucas I believe was rather accepting of Allie's decision here. This was before we found out it was a product of rape.

I agree with most of this post except the Sami part. Sami is worse because she wanted Allie to keep a kid she didn’t want at least Mrs. Choi was open to adoption I believe they tried to. I found it hard to believe Victor/Kate wouldn’t care about their grandchild being out there.

The show claims she didn't but wasn't Belle around when it happened? As much as I dislike Sami she does give that old Days feeling that few characters/actors do on this show anymore. Plus she needs to be there for this story. I also think it's absurd that EJ matters more than John right now but there's only so much you can do with John when the actor wasn't around.

If that's the case I will allow it. I mean they had Nicole lie for nothing when that happened.

@brisbydog thank you for your recap it's great and detailed. A lot of this sounds better than what we are currently watching. I know the bar is low but still.. Jack/Julie will be interacting in February(I can't believe they are that far ahead). I also like that Xander is more grounded in reality(although I don't think he should talk to Marlena this is why they shouldn't have killed off Laura this town needs another shrink) Kristen is still around? Ugh. I think it's good you didn't ask Judi about AW(even though that's where I remember her the most) because her RL son played her TV son on the show and given how her son died in RL it might be a touchy subject. That was my first thought when you mentioned this.

Yes Lucas took the fall for Will shooting EJ (see it would've been a great time to bring Lucas back for this one). If you are referring to the baby Jan was pregnant with and claimed to be Shawn's? It was Christian's(which makes him Orpheus's grandson) not Shawn's kid(which I was ok with given that she raped him and we are stuck with little Rachel because of that plot line). Honestly I hope it's Rachel in an ideal scenario. Kristen takes the fall for her and goes to prison never to return.

This is the same show that had Jan kill Charlie Dale despite barely knowing the guy at all. This is exactly what Ron would do tbh. So yes I think young Rachel did it(I forgot about the old Rachel still being around).

Was it Jake or Stefan? I think it's more of the latter tbh. Now I think it's Rachel who shot him.

I actually agree with all of this. I don't have an issue with the Brady's not caring about EJ it's valid. However they should also feel the same if not more about Ava as well. That being said I'm so glad to see Ava go that I am willing to overlook it. I admit it's a bit surprising to me that Chad has ended up being EJ's most loyal relative.

NotRafe seems a lot more fun tbh Brandon is doing fan events and I think he was featured on RSW's IG(or someone on the show) so yeah I expect him to return(I expected it to begin with but I digress) I would prefer all the Dimeras to leave(except maybe Johnny since I don't really see him as a Dimera despite the lineage).

I think it's a mutual thing since Sami has to revisit the rape storyline and it brings back bad memories. Rafe finds out Jada slept with someone they knew and nobody seemed to notice Rafe wasn't himself. I'm guessing JJ trying to win Gabi back is that she finds out JJ knew about Shawn/Jada and didn't say anything? Eh at least this is a conflict that involves someone else's affair and not something JJ did. I expect a Stefan return is imminent.

That and it seems like they have erased his actual mother Tori in all of this. Kate had a role in raising him and Lucas her faves. I would say Austin is ahead of Rex tbh. This just reminds me this show gave Kate(and Roman) too many kids. Rex/Cassie should've been Tony/Anna's children or Orpheus's children. At least the Dimeras would have a slightly less laughable future. Were they at the time it happened? I thought they were engaged and got married after she got past that(of course it was a while back I might've misremembered)

Valid lol but now that I think about it they may not have the budget anymore to pull off another one.

Far be it from me to defend Rafe but I can see why he would be bothered that she hooked up with someone they both know and work with. It would make one wonder if this was something that was always there under his nose the entire time etc. If it was some random dude I don't think he would be nearly as bothered. Eventually he will get past it although with Sami he wasn't with Hope at the time they weren't together when it happened(although it's an ironic parallel given that Hope's son is involved in this pickle). However I think for soapy goodness his reaction doesn't really bother me and I understand it. I don't get the Rosebud joke either(unless I missed something)
