  1. I heard that the smoking messed up the procedure that cost possible $150,000. Are these people getting the procedures for free? I would have done everything I could to not smoke anymore if I were paying for the procedure myself. Even going to an addiction place if necessary.
  2. Just watched the Finale a few hours ago. It was a struggle avoiding this forum so I wouldn't get any spoilers. Kudos to all of y'all that said Gerry would pick Theresa. I could never see it but may they be happy together. Leslie had every right to say how she felt. If that had been me, I would have been praying that I would go out with my dignity. I've always felt that making a scene would overshadow any of the good things and that would be all that people would think about me. Trust me on that: when I was laid off, I kept it classy and on my last day, my soon-to-be ex-boss thanked me for how I had handled it. I would have wanted to be like that when he didn't pick me.
  3. A TO THE MEN!!! Retired Female never been married. I had to make sure that I would be financially solvent whatever circumstances arose. Especially when my company's contract with NASA came to an end. I was effectively laid off before age 59. Fortunately I was able to live on the golden parachute and unused vacation time until I could get my pension.
  4. What documentary? What have I missed? On the subject of a possible Golden Bachelorette, I'm having a day nightmare of the Bachelors all being divorced because they were too controlling. 😁
  5. Finally saw the last episode yesterday. All I can say is that Theresa may not have been a favorite, but damn if the woman isn't hanging in there by her fingernails! I really looked at her during the Rose ceremony and was concerned that she would have either cried like a waterfall or pitched a hissy fit if she hadn't been chosen. Her mouth was working up to something!
  6. Forgive my Senior Moment, but when will the show end? I ask because he is eliminating 2 or 3 women at a time. In the first episode, there was a woman with Beautiful Silver long hair (or it might have been very light blonde). Is she still in the running?
  7. Tom Selleck AND Sam Elliott are on the list of ETERNALLY GORGEOUS!!! They can get chunky and I will still DROOL!!! And thank you for the Fire emoji! You are all right, Girlfriend! I saw a picture of Burt Bacharach a few days ago and he might have a spot on the list.
  8. Hey Hip-to-be-Square, the fire emoji you used earlier is a positive, right? Mark Spitz is a welcome addition! Since you went to the Olympics, I will admit to being warm for Bruce Jenner's form in 1976. Yul Brynner could eat crackers in my bed any old time. How did we miss Charlton Heston? Hell, I would even supply the crackers!!!
  9. James Garner has been fine every since his "Maverick" days!!! And aged like the finest wine ever! BTW, I loved seeing James Garner and Tom Selleck in those Rockford Files episodes.
  10. As handsome men over 70 were being mentioned before, I have to add a few favorites: George Chakiris (mainly because I still see him as Bernardo); Cesar Romero (yes, I know he's dead, but the man could carry off a suit!); Cary Grant (Gone but never forgotten); Tom Selleck; Clifton Davis.
  11. I'm wondering if Gerry does pick someone, does he expect them to move to Indiana? I lived in Indiana back in the mid 70s and for POC, it wasn't particularly welcoming. I can't see Sandra relocating for that reason alone. Kathy was worrisome and somewhat insecure. Theresa may or may not have known what she was doing, but she knew that it would be disruptive when she "tattled" to Gerry. I hope she gets sent home. Now about the woman who confessed her love for Gerry, she's a braver soul than me! I would be embarrassed if he chose somebody else after that revelation.
  12. It was a good show for a slow Monday. The couple who caught my attention was the Olympic gymnast and her 6'7" partner. What a difference in height! I did expect James and Alyssa to be higher in the standings.
  13. Did anyone notice how they didn't mention the names of the previous winners? They showed a person but it definitely wasn't Drew Dreschel. That person also didn't look like Isaac Caldiero, either. I was disappointed for Daniel because he had improved his rope climbing skills, but Kudos to Vance Walker!!!! I did think that R. J. Roman was going to make it under 30 seconds.
  14. I would be happy if Isiah/The Boss won. For some reason, I just really like this kid, his hair, and his Mother. More than likely, RJ Roman will be in the running and that would be okay. I'm feeling a little sorry for Joe Moravsky. He was such a prospect in his early years and now I wonder if he'll ever make it again. The young'uns seem to be more likely to win everything.
  15. Another thing that I just remembered: American Ninja Warrior Junior has had the side by side competition. The seasoned kid competitors are used to that but the Veterans are not. I think the running side to side enhances the pressure.
  16. Isn't the guy who's mother is always there for him still running? She is African-American with short blond or gray hair.
  17. I'm glad that R. J. Roman made it through, but I was shocked to see him winded. That course must have been tougher than they could have imagined. Sorry that James McGrath (?) didn't make it. I didn't realize how many of the contestants had made it to the cargo net.
  18. I was glad that Joe Moravsky (?) made it with all those youngsters. I hope Josiah (The Boss) gets through because he's one of the few youngsters whose name I remember. Unless we have a bunch of superstars next week, James "the Beast", Flip, and most of the others who made it to the net should get through.
  19. I think Abel was trying to complete the course. If he completed it and was fast enough, he might have gotten to Vegas. Him talking his time was probably him trying to get his breath back. I didn't laugh at Daniel because I was amazed that the man with one leg actually had a chance to win. However, it would have taken him at least 5 minutes to get to where Daniel fell. BTW, I don't remember seeing Nick Hansen run in the prelims. Also, I was kind of tickled that the Island Ninja didn't win. Another BTW, did Lance Pinkus compete this year?
  20. I've been in the dumps since I saw Nick Hansen, Ryan Stratis, and Jessie Graf get eliminated. The competitors are so young but I do like the 2 guys in the second hour who went for the safety pass.
  21. The young lady who made it to the end (I don't remember her name) is looking like the heir apparent to Flex LaBreck and Jessie Graf. BTW, all these young competitors make me feel old as F....
  22. Like others here, I was so glad to see veterans Ryan and Flip back. Also that they completed the course. Strange to remember that Flip was once the Young Gun.
  23. Good to see Nick Hansen, the Eskimo Ninja, and Karsen/Big Cat compete and make it to the run offs!
