I think they have that covered, they have something called marriage by proxy or some other similar term, where they "marry" complete strangers that have passed on...without consent or agreement.

Technically, they are "notified" of the ceremony in the afterlife and given a chance to accept it or reject it.

Janelle has sunk to a new low in promoting this toxic dreck to pregnant moms. Just disgusting. Shame on Janelle!

ETA, while I wouldn't drink vinegar and water, some people do swear by a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. Just like others swear by a daily small amount of cod liver oil or raw honey. I am not recommending any of these; however, any of them would be preferable to plexus.

I actually drink apple cider vinegar almost every day.  I often get a sick feeling or a bloated feeling because I have horrible eating habits right now due to stress and apple cider vinegar makes me feel better almost immediately.  I don't know if this is a placebo affect or real change, but it really helps me.  It's also good for GERD which I have.

Kody is such a dick and let me count the ways:

    1.  He pontificates that what adults do in their bedroom is no one else's business.  I happen to agree with that. However, be prepared to financially and emotionally support the crotch fruit that you produce in that bedroom.

    2.  He speaks of his "wives" with utter contempt and derision.  And the look on his face when he talks about them is like he sucked a lemon.

    3.  He considers himself the head of the family yet he blames everything that is wrong with the family on the women.  And , the one time that he grudgingly admits that the problem with the family may be his responsibility, his admission is strategically timed to happen when there is a third party around to say, "Oh no, that's not true."

    4.  He treats the women like they are children. That scene packing the car is a perfect example. And the worst part is, they let him.  If  Christine wants to go in a separate car, she should just get in her car and drive away and leave him standing there flapping his gums.

I don't know how any of them can stand to be around him.

Absolutely.  I would not want to be squished into a car and would definitely take my own car if my so-called husband insisted on squishing everyone into one car.

Hiring Brandon Routh as the bad guy was a stroke of genius by the producers.  He's such a likeable guy on other shows (so good on "Legends of Tomorrow" as the Atom as well as Superman) that you keep hoping that he's "not really that bad" - but then he is.  He's flipping the switch from affable training officer to raging dickhead so quickly that it's keeping me on the edge of my seat.

Having said that, I'm looking forward to him getting caught soon, and the storyline wrapped up.  For me, the best part of this show is the relationships between the officers as they go through their day and the various cases they encounter (some funny, some serious).

I agree.  He has this charming quality to his voice and mannerisms but then he suddenly looks so crazy/frightening!  Very pleasantly surprised by his acting on this show.  I do find the storyline interesting and timely so I'm not against it at all.  But agree with your statements.

My mother had the same surgery that Janelle had several years ago.  Her dermatologist said for her to wear that zinc sunscreen that leaves you looking white, every single day that she is outside, sunshine or cloudy.  And to wear long sleeves and pants and a large hat to protect skin that is not covered.  My mother has had several others burned/frozen off every year.  She now is required to go back every 6 months because they keep showing up.

Yes, me too...I haven't had any reoccurrences, but my dermatologist said I had to always wear a hat when outside (mine was on top of my head) and sunscreen at all times.  But I confess it's really hard to do for me.

I suppose she could get lucky and sell high to someone trying to leave the NYC area. I never understood why they didn't initially build a house to suit their needs better; seems like a lot of square footage and maintenance to have still had those kids sharing smallish bedrooms. But then again, she also should've moved years ago, as soon as the big checks stopped rolling in.

I know I keep saying this, but it's really time she peddle some products or something. She (miraculously) has enough of a following.

Interesting in the listing is states that there are four "recently remodeled junior suites".   So which of the kids got to sleep in the new junior suites or did it rotate depending on how much you kissed mommy's ass today?

PS I'm being snarky.  I'm aware that maybe she did this after getting rid of Hannah and Collin and the twins to college.

And....I, for one, would welcome any more sharing/observations you may have!

I though I remembered John putting the ranch into a Trust and then naming Beth as the trustee of the Trust.   Am I crazy?  If the ranch was made trust property and Beth is the only trustee, power of attorney doesn't matter at all.  Only the current trustee of the trust that owns the ranch can make any decisions.

Totally disagreed with the judges on the second case of the woman who brought three large rolls of expensive fabric to a company to work with them on having custom chairs made.  $3,000.

When the company said they weren't the right company for her, they referred her to another company.  She texted, "Okay.  I'll be in to pick up my fabric."  They did NOT respond back, "What are you talking about?  You didn't leave any fabric here."  They responded, "We can't find it right now.   Give us some time until the end of the day when things calm down.  If it's here, we hope to find it then."

Judges found in favor of the defendant and gave the plaintiff nothing.  The defendant had a shit-eating grin on his face until he saw that the case was going his way.  Then we it started to look again like he was going to lose, the SEG came back.

I think Judge Milian would have ruled in favor of the plaintiff.

Exactly, "if it's here" could mean anything from 'we used it for something else' to 'we accidentally threw it out' to ' our smarmy owner sold it'.

It could be true. Kate has shown herself to be a horrible parent, and I don't doubt that she can't handle a difficult child. Her inability to keep friends or maintain family relationships and her reactions to stress show she has some serious problems herself. She couldn't even handle it that time when one of her kids supposedly ate that slice of pizza that "belonged" to Kate's boyfriend/bodyguard Steve.

It could also be untrue or exaggerated. Collin has shown what he's willing to do when he's upset or not getting his way. I don't doubt that he would lie about Kate to a therapist, since he was willing to call the police on Jon. Collin has some major issues. But I think she probably did treat differently than his siblings.

What I find most interesting is that Hannah was Kate's favorite during the years the show aired, and Hannah ran away.

I agree with all of this.  Unfortunately, Collin's word alone probably cannot be fully trusted, but I do personally believe just from the show that Kate treated Collin differently and was way harsher and uncaring with him than she was with the others.  She always clearly preferred Hannah and it's telling to me that Hannah left after she was able to develop into her own person.

Agreed.  Changes needed to be made.  More "stars" to fill the time that group dances filled.  To come back to the original which was two people dancing without a troop.  This cast has better dancers so there is more entertainment that's not just laughing at somebody. I'm not interested in Tara but you can't compare her first night to Tom's 11th or 15th season.

The rating are based upon a sampling of households.  Neilsen rates by following specific households.  Watch, don't watch neither will effect the ratings.  Nobody know if you are watching  or not watching.  Neilsen is a sampling of households - no one measures your watching habits.  Do you feel better or worse?

This premiere was 30% up from last year's premiere.  That's a big increase.  I'm not going to attribute it to any one aspect but it's better than last year so ABC should be very happy and somebody's getting a promotion. I love the fact that Covid forced them to stop with the overproduction of the troop trying to distract from the actual partnership. It's a lot closer the original shows.  Controversy sells, controversy gets you action on social media, controversy has us talking here on the forum. Baskins gonna be around in my opinion.  Not sure who will go in her place hopefully that all basketball player because he's just a little bit better than her but not so interesting to me. Baskins gonna wear horrible outfits it's just gonna be a lot of talk and we can always go back to did she kill her husband?  I've never seen tiger king and I love cats.

Actually they do watch dvr numbers, etc. as well as outdated Nielsen numbers.  But I really don't care either way and my post was mostly joking about that.  Do you feel better or worse?

Yep.  I had this dilemma as well.  But for me, the cast sucks so that made it an easy choice. But I did forget to cancel my series recording until about half way through the episode so that might have counted!  lol  I admire Tyra while knowing that she is not perfect.  But I watched this show mainly for Tom and some of the dancers and now that's pretty much gone.

I watched this week's episode (aired on 9/14) and of course I cannot remember her name. But she was the 22 (?) year old who refused rehab and then 5 days later went. And then left. And is now living with her mom (good boundaries there, Mom.) Though the mom clearly had no boundaries and was going to raves with her daughter and had drugs lying around when the kids were growing up that were readily available. I don't have much hope for this addict or her family.

Of course, the dad didn't believe the kids when they were telling him back in the day that there were drugs around. I wonder how many lives would have been improved if adults would believe their kids when they told them bad things, like drug use, or molestation/abuse? Just a thought.

I'm going through some stuff with an addict who has already been to rehab 3 times, was sober once for a stretch of about 15 years, and now their life is in the toilet. Unwilling to help themselves in all aspects of life and seem to be fine with being in their 50's and having zero source of income, living with someone who is a complete enabler. Ugh.

Natasha.  She and her mom were a damn mess.  Her mom is really one of the worst that I've seen.  And dad just didn't want to deal with anything so he left the kids to rot in the drug house the mother created.  Wow.

I really hate how everyone throws around the PTSD diagnosis these days like it's nothing. Collin didn't get PTSD because his mother is an asshole. If you look at the other 7 kids, they don't appear to have PTSD. PTSD is a very serious thing caused by very serious trauma. I don't know what Collin's real diagnosis is, but I'm pretty sure it's not helped by his parents trashing each other in the media every chance they get. The fact that he was willing to lie to police and trash his father on Instagram means there is a serious issue. But I doubt it's true PTSD.

For this past year though, Jon has been claiming there is nothing wrong with Collin. Now he says Collin acts out, has to be restrained, and runs away. Which is it?

No. There is no interest. Kate wasn't fired from TLC because of Jon. Kate was fired because no one cares anymore. TLC would have put up with Jon's lawsuits if the show still had good ratings and people wanted to watch. Kate is dead in the water as a reality star. The kids aren't little and cute anymore. Even the Duggars are struggling as people lose interest in the whole large family angle.

None of us know what Collin's actual diagnosis is, but I can quite confidently tell you that it is very, VERY possible to get PTSD from having assholes for parents.

Yes, I am very sad and shocked. Collin seemed so happy with Jon.  I'm always going to think Jon is the better parent than Kate and personally believe that she has abused the kids before.  So she is just happily jumping on this and trying to turn it to her favor.  If this is true, I hate both of them and feel very bad and sad for these poor kids.

I didn't think they just let the horse out in the wild - I thought when they pulled in to the field where they let him go there was a sign saying it was a wild horse sanctuary. The  Montana Horse Sanctuary is just one of a few I've seen listed.

Yes, I saw that too.  Also, unless I'm mistaken, that's the horse that Kayce was riding when Lee was killed.  The one he gave to John and no one but Kayce could ride.  That's why John was getting rid of him and couldn't give him back to Kayce (the horse whisperer) as someone suggested.

So it being a wild stallion with previous experience he probably has a better chance at stealing a few mares and surviving (especially in a sanctuary).

I thought he jumped from the car on the way to the execution. Gun battles with the Tribal Police and last years's rival along with the herd being poisoned  must have hit them hard  and vulnerable.

There is a difference in bringing someone to justice and going out to kill without benefit of a trial and death penalty. If the Chairman set up a hit then Monica is part of a government death squad. If the shot was just to rescue her because back up was too far away then it is more nuanced.

I may be fan wanking but I felt like Mo Brings Plenty was the backup plan.  If the rapist/murderer trolls that stretch of highway, he is probably very aware of where a police SUV can hide and if he spotted any, he wouldn't be stupid enough to do anything to Monica.

And, the last girl who was murdered also had a car breakdown and they felt that she walked from her vehicle and then got picked up.  So it could be that the last murder left them with more information as to what was happening to the young women who went missing and where the guy was operating.

So, knowing that an excellent rider on an excellent horse who is an excellent shot would be able to keep an eye on Monica and call for assistance, they had Mo Brings Plenty following her at a distance.  But somehow things went a little sideways and he had to kill the dude because he was going to kill Monica.

I don't know...it does require some fan wanking for sure.  lol  But I actually really appreciated the scenes and the acting.  I got teary in several places for some reason.

And that's why I just can't get on board with Beth. I'm all for dark shows, and have watched my share of them. I love complicated women, and tough women, but Beth is a character that has grated my nerves so much, there are times where I have had to step away from the show. I only recently found it, and have been binging it with my family, and have cut a couple nights short because she just irritates me so much.

Maybe it's because I binged the show that I can't get on board with her character more this season, but she's just so heinous. There was one scene, I think with one of the Beck brothers from last season. She had some great one-liners, and then she just had to go and throw in one last line that was just too much, and that, to me, is her character in a nutshell. She always has to go for one more dig, and it's always too far. And her violence just makes me really uncomfortable. I wouldn't be comfortable with any man beating on a woman the way she has done to Jamie, and I'm not ok with it just because she's a woman. I mean, John told Jamie in season 1 that if he touched Beth again he'd put his head through a wall, yet is just chill as Beth beats the shit out of Jamie in front of him, and then later gleefully talks about needing a week to push Jamie all the way to a successful suicide, and then gives Beth more ammunition by not being able to say he loves Jamie like her or Kayce.

To me, her character is so heinous that I just don't care about the abortion and sterilization. I don't feel sympathy for her, and any depth or layers they try and give her just means nothing to me because they've spent 2 seasons doubling down on every bad part of her character. The hate for Jamie feels completely one-dimensional and Jamie may suck, but my god, I'd rather watch just about anyone else on my screen than see her in a scene with anyone but Rip, because those are the only scenes where it feels like she has any honest dimension.

I have to agree with you regarding the bolded.  This has always really bothered me and is what made me not want Beth with Rip in the first place.  I know Rip has committed murder probably several times over, but to me, it's less heinous because he has to do it to stay on the ranch.  And his feeling as a young kid who just killed his father and then was taken in by John makes/made him super vulnerable.  I believe John took advantage of him by keeping him on the ranch and "protecting" him when no authority was going to prosecute that kid for killing his father as the father was killing his family.  Now it's all Rip knows...and he even hinted that he doesn't have any legal identity away from the ranch.

Beth comes from a position of power and uses it in a way that I'm uncomfortable with.

Another example is when Monica was targeted and harassed by the white shop worker lady.  Beth comes to save the day and while I was okay with her humiliating the lady a little bit verbally, etc. to give her a taste of how Monica felt, the making her strip etc., was really not okay.  It's not okay to fight abuse with more abuse in my opinion.

Team Beth all the way! And I like Rip so much because of Beth. If we took away Beth in the equation I'm pretty sure I wouldn't like Rip as much. He would just be a typical Cro-Magnon character on my screen. Because of Beth (and part the backstory) Rip gets layers. Take away Rip from the character Beth and I would still like her cause she's a bad ass but Rip makes her even more so.

Haha!  I'm Team Rip all the way!  I have only mostly liked Beth in this season and a bit in the last.  Before, I thought she was a caricature of a ball-busting, strong woman.  But I love them together and it certainly gives the actress more range to show and she's doing it well IMO.  I always felt that Rip had layers, but we weren't really allowed to see them.

I'm not a Monica fan but one can't love all characters and I'm just used to ignoring the ones I don't like as much as I can. There's just no use putting negative energy on someone you don't like when you can go all in with the ones you like/love instead. I don't hate the actress either. I'm sure the casting agent did his research and had the rest of the developing crew behind him when he chose not to cast a indigenous person in the role. They probably regret the decision now but I'm not a fan of re-casting characters so I'll roll with her/it as long as she's onboard. The show itself seems to have great respect for human kind as well as animals so I got no beef with them. No pun intended. I am however perplexed they casted someone who couldn't ride, this show demands that you can ride imo.

Unfortunately, I do feel like her casting was a mistake.  I seems that she (and/or her agent) claimed she was part Cherokee in order to win Native American roles like Wind River.  I don't mind the actress herself and actually really liked her in Wind River, especially.  But that's just a bit too much cultural appropriation for me.  She also dropped her surname "Chow" in 2017 just before her Wind River casting.

Jaime isn't a Dutton.  He is the only dark, dark haired one (even Lee's hair was dark blonde/brown).  It's because he is a reminder that John's perfect wife and Beth's perfect mom wasn't at all perfect.
