Slam dunk as of 8/25/14! Now let's hope you are right and it stays on for more years to come. Bring back regular folks and cast highly competative people who are not there to MAKE FRIENDS and HELP each other out.
-
Because everyone hoped Nicole or Donnie would win and put an end to Derricks stranglehold on this game...which is very boring TV.
-
...and the season shuffles along to its Anti-Climatic conclusion. At this point the only thing that can redeem it is if the jury bands together and decideds they are going to show Derrick that his plan to bring Victoria to the final two has failed....when they all vote for her and the sneaky narc is left dumbfounded as the confetti falls in the final moments of the finale. One can dream I guess. Back to reality I wanted to hurl the remote when Donny lost to Cody and the unbroken control of this game continues as it has since the house opened its doors in June. If only Donny could win...especially to a lunk head like Cody who has the plan to take Victoria to the end spelled out to him and he has the same blank look that Josh had wayyyyy back in season one when Brittany was trying to warn him that everyone was lying to him. I didn't think if was humanly possible for Frankie to look more like a jackass than with the pink shirt and bowtie but when he appeared in a suit with white shoes...well that did it. Lastly that was quite an intimate massageing of Christine's fingers that Cody was doing early in the episode. I hope her husband saw that. Didn't look like anything to do with game play.

S16.E26: Live Eviction #10 / HoH Comp #11
North of Eden replied to Tara Ariano's topic in Past Seasons
I didn't want Zach to be put out but after his Chenterview I was thanking Jocasta's Jesus that he didn't get back in. Seriously did you hear that guy say he didn't know who he would target and he would THROW the HOH competition!?! What a waste of a slot it would have been to put him back in if that was what he would do. Also it was nauseating hearing him kissing Frankie's ass. Frankie is vile, vile and triple vile. Best part of the night was seeing his crestfallen look when Nicole won back in. I hope not only does Nicole get back in but that she gets HOH and puts Frankie and Derrick up or at least backdoors one of them. And I will admit I was excited at the possibility of Jocasta getting back in and seeing if she might actually have some gameplay this time. Oh well...we know Nicole does but I hope she doesn't trust Christine. THe cast of SWINGTOWN, COLD CASE and a couple other good CBS dramas that Les Moonves cancelled before their time should have been the ones to dump the ice on his head. Meanwhile I'm surprised BIG BROTHER didn't trot out their pet ape Jesse to do the honors to Julie. -
I was hoping Zack could avoid the block because I so tired of Derrick and Frankie getting exactly what they want. COMPLETE control of this game since the first week of this season....it's completly sucked the life out of it. And the loathsome Frankie even admits Derrick will win the game...is in a perfect position to take him out....nope, nothing. A completly souless season. Meanwhile I don't now anything about Kathy Griffin but if she's someone Frankie likes then she is an enemy of mine. And what a tool Frankie was since EVERYTHING is about him he was convinced the Zing that wound up being for Zack was going to be meant for him. I am so sick of his constant theatrical movements in everthing his does, the preening, the posing, the jumping up and down and shrieking like a child. What an embarassing human being. If they trot him out on a future season I am sure I would puke.

Just how badly was the budget cut this year? I am annoyed they apparently didn't want to pay the actor who plays Benny as he only has appeared in a cameo this year when he should have been heavily involved what with his best friend losing his sister and all. It's just weak. And then there is Rebecca who is the most inconsistently written character I have ever seen on ANY television show. Is she Team Big Jim or not?! At least going outside the dome has made it a little more interesting.
-
Oh,hey did you hear Frankie is Ariana Grande's brother? Shocking I know! Anyway each episode I keep hoping this will be the episode where someone buys a clue and realizes that Derrick has been running/manipulating the whole game. Well, the time is here at last in hopes that someone will wake up and smell the coffee and t hey get him out this week...chances are almost zero of course but I'm hoping. Him being in control of the game like he is sucks the fun out of it...just like a few seasons ago where Dan (who I detest) was completly controlling everythiing.Derrick has an unfair advantage because frankly his line of work for him to be sucessful at it requires you to be sneaky and decietful and that gives him a huge leg up on his mentally challenged fellow house guests. Christine's denials asside I had to LOL at her husband having to sit there and watch his wife fawning over a young stud. Strategy....riiiiiiight.

S16.E23: Live Eviction #9 / HoH Comp #10

I know right?!! I totally thought they were setting her up to answer the Ariana reveal so they could "roll tape" of Victoria's "Disneyfied Moment" with the music and blinking sound effects! -
S16.E23: Live Eviction #9 / HoH Comp #10
North of Eden replied to Tara Ariano's topic in Past Seasons
Is there anyone in the world who doesn't believe that after all the machinations are done that it won't be Victoria and Donny sitting on the block next week? And if by some one in a million chance it's neither one of them that goes home the comp to get back in the house will be slanted for a Detonator to win back in? This was an odd episode...lots of filler. The whole NFL thing was a waste but it gave me a reason to fast forward as I cant handle the putrid faces of Frankie and Christine. Then from start to finish the whole zombie scares and news bulletins went on wayyyyy to long. And then Rachel is trotted out...alone! What's the matter CBS...no money in the budget to fly Brendan in too? They are a package deal these days. And I could feel my heart fall when Donny and Victoria both went out...the last chances to shake things up. All this zombie comp did was make me jones for the return of THE WALKING DEAD so Rick can show Terminus how they are screwing with the wrong people. Anyway...instead of all the filler I'd rather peek into the sequester house. Even Julie knew the HG were blowing smoke at Nicole pandering for her jury vote. How are we to believe Christine who just last night was talking about knives in the back? -
This has been an excellent series. It's kind of like Star Trek at sea. So glad Rhona finally got a series that will last. I can't believe only two more episodes:(
-
There were some good moments in this episode. The "Disneyfying" of Victoria when she head about Ariana complete with swelling music and eye blinking sound effects. Pure Gold! Zach's tearful breakdown in the Diary Room...random as hell and completly unscripted....also hilarous as hell. That said as a whole the season is a write off because of the stranglehold The Detonators have on the entire game. Every time there is even the slightist chance fate manages to save them from going home as witnessed by Zach's veto win and Caleb missing his chance to screw up the BOB competition allowing Frankie to win. Oh, well I am at least happy Frankie's "Big Reveal" fizzled. I did find it amazing that Caleb think the Bomb Squad is still in full effect-having no clue it reformed as the Detonators leavaing him out. Meanwhile the producers of LOST should sue because tonight's episode was a complete rip off of the LOST episode where we got to see Nikki and Paolo were completly engaged in their own little storyline the entire time all the other big events were playing out. BIG BROTHER's take on this was that there was this entire storyline and alliance between Derrick and Victoria that's been going on this ENTIRE TIME with his obvious intention to bring her to the end as a final two goat and ensure victory and in 54 days there was not even the slightest hint the two had even spoken to each other let alone had a one on one alliace. Call the lawyers J.J.! Lastly the TEAM AMERICA thing has completly fizzled much like all the other stuff they've tried to use to jazz up the show...most notable THE SABATEUR being voted out the first week. I guess that's Karmen Electra for trying yet again with another unworkable twist.

S16.E21: Nominations #7 / Battle of the Block Comp #7
North of Eden replied to Tara Ariano's topic in Past Seasons
Why, why WHY does everything have to go Frankie's way?! I just watched now and was shouting obscenities when he won the battle of the block. If only Caleb hadn't sait it out...he could have easily performed in such a way making it impossible to win. I hope it compeletly back fires on him bey his "big reveal" hopefully everyone will think what a liar he is from day one. Also I doubt if the NFL players are going to be too keen on how he invades their personal space like he was doing with Zach and Caleb tonight. Back off!! -
There are no racist blowhards in the house this year but this may go down as an even worse year due to the simple fact that a core group of A-holes have been controlling this game since the very first HOH. Only now in the shadow of the jury did an opposition faction rise lead by Nicole but it was a little to little a little too late. This could have been a grand night seeing the end of either Frankie or Zach if only Christine hadn't won the veto the last show. At least Nicole now sees what a reprehensible person the ugly Christine is. I felt bad for Nicole tonight because her demeanor through the whole show made it clear she knew she was in serious trouble. Zach's brush with the eviction hasn't changed him a bit....he's back to hand slapping, gesturing like a fool. Meanwhile I feel an urge to pop Frankie one every time he has to skip and prance about the house. Stop being on 24/7! And screw everyone for not even giving Jocasta the respect to watch her fade to black and white on the memory wall.
-
Well, its like I posted the other night. Too much had to go RIGHT for Frankie to get backdoored and of course the ONE person out of all the competitors that would not use the veto has to win. Not to sound like a conspiracy theorist but I wonder if there isn't something in Christine's application for BIG BROTHER that hinted she would be good at this type of comp and the producers trotted it out because they are desperate to keep Frankie who for some unkown reason they think needs to narrate....every....little...thing....that happens in the house. He's just so repulsive. Meanwhile at long last I can understand a little bit of why Caleb was frustrated at Amber not returning his attention. Seeing him in that fig leaf...well the guy pretty much is an Adonis and I imagine he's use to girls in his hicktown swooning for him so it must have been quite a shock to be rejected. On that note...if Alternate Universes are real I imagine there is one where his fondest dreams came true and he wound up tethered to Amber for 48 hours. Got to admit he was pretty funny talking about getting some "private time" with Amber's comic book. Speaking of Comic books how was DEVIN not DAD-BOT instead of Derrick? Every other word out of his mouth said his motivations in every thing he did revolved around his daughter. Also it would have been funnier to have Nicole as a THE GHOST SLAYER. Some of those were pretty spot on Jocasta's HOLLY ROLLER was LOL hillarious. Prediction for THursday....Jocasta goes home....DETONATOR wins speed round... Victoria goes home and the speed round is once again wasted on a predictable boot.

S16.E18: Nominations #6 / Battle of the Block Comp #6
North of Eden replied to Tara Ariano's topic in Past Seasons
Oh my god what is wrong with these people?! I was so dissapointed that the opporutnity of an ALL DETONATORS nominations was wasted. TOO much has to go RIGHT for Frankie to exit through the back door. Already Nicole was backpeddling at the end of the episode by saying IF she goes through with it. Guaranteed the Detonators remain intact....Jocasta will go home. Then a Detonator will win during the SPEED ROUND of BIg Brother on Thursday and Victoria will be sent packing...in other words that status quo will remain for yet another week. Cody didn't speak but he stole the show with his apparent cringing over the Zankie flirting. And one more time...enough with the confessionals during a challenge! Gee do you think Caleb didn't win by the fact that if he did he would have to shave his head....and viola there he is with a hat on a no hair sticking out whatsover. Lame! -
It never fails...all humanity could be in danger and some people are worried about a dog LOL
-
First and foremost I want to thank BIG BROTHER for TRYING to disrupt the block voting by using the Team America angle to spice things up...unfortunatly it turned into an epic fail not seen since the very first season when the producers desperatly tried to shake things up with and attempt to BRIBE one of the boring dullards to leave the house with a suitecase full of $50,000 dollars in order to get in a new houseguest that promised to shake things up. Unfortunatly none of the simpletons of that inaugural season were smart enough to take them up on it. I hope the producers are annoyed at Donny for being such a pussy that it ruined their plans. Maybe he won't get such a noble edit from now on. Meanwhile...Donny is running the game?! This lack of perception on Amber's part and some of the "mean girl" comments she made about Caleb during the Chenterview made me not like her as much as I did before. It just seemed a little cruel. People say Caleb has mental problems but if you look closely its the vile Frankie Grande who is the true sociopath. The way he lies and his manipulation of Caleb (and most disturbingly his GLEE in doing it) marks him as a very questionable person and I wouldn't be surprised if outside "the game" he is like that too...especially if he plays the "I'm Ariana's brother" card. Nicole was again super sexy in her cowboy boots and shorty shorts. No wonder Hayden is in persuit. Lastly I wonder if the "to be continued" was planned or not as Julie seemed genuinally suprised how good everyone was.
-
Grandpa PePay gets Big Brother's equivalent of "The Silent Clock". Very classy amid a show that featured a night vision scene of Zach taking his fantasies to the next level with that massage. Nicole rocked those Daisy Dukes during the western challenge. Continuing the western motif it's time to grab the bull by the horns and admit the producers are crafting this season not as BIG BROTHER but as "THE FRANKIE SHOW". If someone had a stop watch and compiled his screen time compared to everyone else in the house the others would be left behind in the dust. Yippeykayi Mother F'ers...will you please give us a break from the Frankie Fest?! Sorry to see the "Stalker" subplot about to come to an end. It was just about the only non-Frankie storyline this summer. My cold heart was hoping for and elimination order that left Amber alone in the Sequester house with Caleb. I'd pay money to see what that week would be like. Is there any chance Amber is first Jury member? Maybe there is still hope.

S16.E15: Nominations #5 / Battle of the Block Comp #5
North of Eden replied to Tara Ariano's topic in Past Seasons
Though Zach is obnoxious for tonight I'll go by the enemy of my enemy is my friend because I really, really dislike Christine and anything that messes up her game is good by me. I'm tired of looking at her face...she looks like Freddy Krueger without the burn makeup. Meanwhile I guess people really do grieve in different ways because I've seen people grieve longer and harder over swatting a housefly than Frankie seemed to over Grandpa Frank. Hayden loses points because that was his big opportunity to swoop in an comfort Nicole after the insult and him just standing around was an epic fail. Speaking of epic fail I knew there was no way Christine was going to explode at the nomination ceremony over that whole Jen-City business...it's just not in her nature...she's sneaky and would only do it in the privacy of the store room. Lastly I actually am starting to feel sorry for Caleb. Amber's indifference towards him makes me kind of root for him. Life really is stranger than fiction I guess. -
This is what I like about this new forum site. Back at twop a grumpy mod would have scolded this discussion. I hope the relaxed posting continues as the site becomes more popular. Update: I see I quoted the wrong post. I was referring to the discussions on Brittanys kids.

Not much of a game when 90 percent of the house is on the same side. Everyone else is a sitting duck. Advance good bye to Jocasta.
-
Every year the producers continually tinker with the program but always manage to completly miss one of the show's greatest flaws. For the love of Jocasta's Jesus will they please STOP with the confessionals interspiced into the Veto Competition!?! You can instantly tell who won based on their demeanor and sure enough to make matters worse the VERY FIRST confessional was with Victoria. Her huge smiles and peppy demeanor was a dead give away that she would have the veto at the end. To a lesser extent AMAZING RACE also has this problem. Meanwhile Frankie groping Cody's buns was horrific...just horrific. Makes one long for the days of the night vision camera while April and Ollie were going at it under the covers. Good times! I actually want Caleb to stay. As a person who watches BB to be entertained this guy is providing comedy gold. The sneaking up the stairs...playing with the dagger while Cody is hands on with "his girl" sends the entertainment quota off the Richter Scale. So glad we'll be getting another week with him and hopefully we'll finally get a showdown between him and Cody over Amber. Nicole and Christine are boring. Nuff said.

S16.E12: Nominations #4 / Battle of the Block Comp #4
North of Eden replied to Tara Ariano's topic in Past Seasons
I absolutly 100% raise my hand to volunteer to sleep in Victoria's bed and cuddle with her. When's the next flight out? Do not like it when someone makes a statement and doesn't explain. What does it mean that Victoria is "high maintenance" when it comes to the bed? Since it can't ever be said enough...Frankie is just gross. Why does he have to prance about the house? Talk about non-stop playing for the cameras. -
Sorry Donny's family but I had to fast forward through your segment because I refuse to give George Clooney wannabee and walking tool shed "Big Jeff" anymore of my time after all these years. He's a legendary allright...a legendary douche. Meanwhile I never thought I would give Caleb any benefit of the doubt but I did notice a brief snippet where Amber was being very playful with him snapping his Bandana and laughing. I wonder if the editing is failing to show that there may...and I do say may..be some degree of her leading him on a bit. Our lovely Victoria was reduced to being the subject of cat calls and portrayed as Hayden's cockblocker. Did she even speak in those segments. Free Victoria! Also its clear production fed Haycen the line about "seriously...what's your name?" as he would have no way to know that the editing on the three weekly shows are completly ignoring her. As for Devin...at heart he seems like a good guy...and if there is an All Stars Edition...He'll Be Back! Oh, and Brittany is a scumbucket for not giving him a pity vote because if not for him she would already be home with her kids.
-
I'm calling it right now. If they follow through with getting Devin out the show will become very much less interesting without him and his upredictability. Also all the A-holes cheering when he lost the Veto competition made me not like any of them-even the lovely Victoria. Kicking a man when he's down is not cool in any book. Well actually there might be one thing of interest after Devin leaves and that is Caleb's implosion. The rest of the houseguests are going to rally around Amber like white knights and get rid of him because he makes her umcomfortable. Props to the editors for showing the bunny slippers as a call back to FATAL ATTRACTION's ill fated bunny during the segment where it was clear he truly is fatally attracted. Not sure why he doesn't notice Victoria...she's just as good looking as Amber and maybe she'd be open to his attentions? It seemed unfair they didn't postpone the Veto competition until Jocasta was well enough to play. At very least she should have had a proxy player.
