Same. I was flipping channels the other day so not sure which show I ended up on (briefly) but the host was walking through a house sneering at the walls. She was about to knock them all in because "no one wants rooms". Dear god. I thought open concept had had it's day but clearly not on these shows.
I don't understand "open concept". Where do you put your shelves? Why would you let guests have a clear view of the mess in your kitchen? How does anyone just sit and read a book without being distracted?

In the singles events, what was up with the score box whenever there was a step sequence? The score kept coming up 0.00 and sitting there for a minute before it changed to numbers. It did that consistently with both mens and ladies. But only on step sequences.
Pairs was pretty much a splat-fest except for Knierim and Frazier.
OMG. Jenni Meno and Todd Sand are old now. Which means . . . I am very, very old.
I hate that score box they're using for the US competition. For the European they're using the "Show the base and show the GOE" instead of "Show the base and the final score". I like seeing the GOE separately; I shouldn't have to do math to figure out the GOE. Why are they playing around with that?

There's a nice article about Ilia in today's Washington Post (I don't know how to "gift" an article...maybe someone else here can??):
https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/olympics/2023/01/26/ilia-malinin-figure-skating-quadg0d/
So rare these days to get any coverage of figure skating in the Post. I added the names of several other metro DC skaters competing this weekend to the comments section (Michael Parsons, Emily Bratti, Ian Sommerville, and Caleb Wein).

When Jason Segel came out and Stephen greeted him (Stephen standing one step above him), I thought "Boy, Jason is big!". Not 10 seconds later, Stephen's first comment to Jason was "I've forgotten how big you are!" I never noticed that before.

I loved how Janine went into those ribs with such gusto.
I was on a date in college and the guy said "I love to watch you eat." I was extreeeemly embarrassed. 😆

In the comments on an article about Kaitlin Hawayek and Jean-Luc Baker being out of the US championships, someone posted this link:

If you register for a free account, it says you can live stream the entire event.

Shania Twain has a comeback with her new album. Man, she looks awesome! I mean really good and natural! I don’t normally like that hair color (pink) on a mature lady, but man, it looks great! She’s so positive and seems so happy. She actually had throat surgery. Seems like it was successful. She said she wrote this album because she wanted to dance. Can’t wait to hear it. Drops Feb. 3. She was featured on Today today. I’m so happy for her.

She was on Colbert last night (Jan 4), sans pink hair. She did look great, but she seemed nervous. Very short skirt! She did not perform 😒

This whole thing is a fantastic read, but parts 4 & 5 discuss the campaign and planning who would follow Bartlet (starting with the section A Change is Gonna Come - and they did discuss Vinick winning):

It's a Baptist church. Or at least, Mary has said on several occasions that they are Baptists.

I think I’m out, guys.
I love Mayim, and I liked the show last season, but the show now is pretty much unwatchable. I cut out in the middle of the episode and removed it from my DVR schedule.

The arm wrestling contest was hilarious. Anyone else have the idea that John Krasinski was just toying with Stephen? 😄

Stephen and Evie were at the White House for the state dinner for the French president last night. I saw a picture of them walking in - Evie looked fabulous. And Jon Batiste provided the music for the event.
Here are all the arrivals - Stephen and Evie arrive at 35:20

I really enjoyed the interview with Michael Shannon - for some reason I assumed he was a jerk, but he was actually quite charming and funny.

She also has a great scene (either in that episode or the next) where she gives Molly the garter made from one of their dad's neckties. She gave Victoria depth.

I just rewatched ”The Trouble With Tribbles” and “The Gamesters if Triskellion”. The TOS fight choreography was fantastic.
I met one of the Star Trek stuntmen about 10 years ago - Jay Jones. He said he was doing a fist fight with William Shatner and Shatner kept hitting him on the follow-through of the punches, but Shatner kept proclaiming his innocence. Apparently he then clocked Shatner pretty good and got into some trouble. He HATED Shatner!

I don't know if Peter needs a scholarship, but if he's good at baseball and can snag one he can do both. (see Josh Dobbs - literally a rocket scientist but played as quarterback for U of Tenn.) But I do like how they showed his interest in science.

S02.E14: Valentine's Day
in Abbott Elementary
I was in Best Buy this evening picking up an order, and that same LEGO bouquet kit was waiting on a pickup. When I mentioned that I had seen it on TV, the clerk said "oh, THAT'S why! We've gotten 3 or 4 orders for it; that's the last one and we're back ordered!"
