Having said that, I do find blaming Peter for Thanos winning unfair. Even if Peter hadn’t punched him and they had gotten the glove off, I don’t see how they would have won. Even without the glove he’s still Thanos and extremely formidable.

Dr. Strange put up a damn good solo fight against him when he had the Infinity Gauntlet and 4 of the stones. If he'd had a moment or two to clear his head and plan, they could have won once they got the gauntlet off.

good thing too. Have you ever tried to bathe a cat?

Yes. Having a 14 lb. wet cat swinging from the inside of your elbow by one claw is not fun. Now I own two self-cleaning models who take care of the spots their sibling can't reach.

I don't think they were being too disruptive for the restaurant, imo.  They were animated but not overly loud.  But I guess it was supposed to be super snooty.

Three of the four people at that table are black, which changes a lot of things about how much patience businesses have with customers.

    3) I was wondering why Stephanie did not recoil from the stench of teenage cholera ghost the way everyone did from the cholera ghosts in this episode.  Inconsistent.

She's used to being near teenage boys? The one year I had PE in high school it killed me that I didn't have time to shower after Gym and had to go through the rest of the day all funky, but most of my classmates seemed to think nothing of it.

I did like the double-couple date scene and love that Grace called out the pastor for being biased.

I don't even think it was so much he was truly biased, as he was afraid of angering Tommy. Which, understandable, but grow a spine, Preacher Man!

I do think Judd ratting Tommy out was petty, and due to bruised ego/hurt fee fees rather than truly necessary. Since when does he believe in following all rules to the letter? If Owen were that stringent about everyone following protocol the whole 126 would have been fired by now.

And shouldn't Judd be totally traumatized by having chopped off someone's arm with an axe? The guy died. Could it be because of loss of blood even though the arm was already tourniqueted? If I was Judd, I'd be wondering. And having nightmares.

Maybe it's not the first time Judd has chopped off body parts with an axe? Gotta save some plots for Season 5!

Wow, it really doesn't pay to be a loved one of any of the main characters. Wyatt's in an accident that injures his spine, Grace's dad has had multiple life-threatening hospitalizations, Mateo's identical cousin died in a car crash, Tommy's husband died young, Owen's father and ex-wife have died, his half brother has a grisly lethal condition that he's responding to with assisted suicide, one girlfriend was the target of a massive bomb threat, and another was poisoned by her husband. All in the last 4 years. Be careful, Mr. and Mrs. Reyes!

If they would ditch the Cash/Missy romance and give Cash something to do besides stare longingly at Missy I would probably give it more episodes, but I doubt that will happen.

It's on the Hallmark Channel, so I'm pretty sure that eventual romance is supposed to be the core premise of the show despite its utter lack of appeal. According to the Bible, aren't men supposed to marry their dead brothers' widows?

  7. I've definitely seen a dog food commercial where the mix of salmon, rice, and spinach looked appetizing to me until I realized what was being advertised.

I buy Hills prescription dry chow for my cats, so while it looks about like any other dry food it costs more per pound than the groceries I buy for myself!

  8. It's probably TK's turn as the origin for whatever ridiculous drama unfolds, but we can be fairly sure he won't have any heretofore unknown wives or ex girlfriends crashing the wedding with a machine gun for the objections part of the ceremony. Or ex boyfriends for that matter—I don't recall ever seeing any of his exes. Probably any that escaped with their lives are happy to never cross paths with him again.

Maybe Lou I will return to rampage through the wedding guests?

Third, I'd tell his dumb ass to let the doorknob hit him on the way out if his first reaction is to dump me on the basis of third hand gossip that hadn't even resulted in anything happening to him.  Also the assumption that his wife cheating on him would be viewed the same way as him dating a respected member of the community and a widow is dumb.  It is not the same thing.  One is an actual scandal that happened.  The other is not.

Amen! If I were Tommy I'd have had no problem with the wagging tongues, but a HUGE problem with someone I was dating breaking up with me once he found out that uninvolved third parties disapproved. The one moment I cheered for was her "Oh, and you never will again" reply when he said he'd never met anyone like her before.

I'm more shocked that it took her dad actual years to figure out why she was pissed... and that this all got turned around on Grace not being forgiving enough. He's never said sorry to her but she's the one getting the guilt and chiding for not accepting his non acknowledgement to the family of his betrayal.

That reads as very realistic to me, though. I've lost count of how many times I've heard of things like abuse victims being shamed by the family for speaking up and "making trouble." As if it's the family's perfect image being stained that's the problem, not the person abusing his relatives.

  11. That's my recollection. Though Owen probably should have stepped back and let one of the first responders who WASN'T banging the corpsicle's wife attempt resuscitation/defrosting just to avoid any accusations of not doing the job competently for ulterior motives.

  12. That CPR scene was incredibly gross, but my best friend had something sort of similar happen to him early in his paramedic career.

    Spoiler

He tried to resuscitate a pedestrian who'd been hit by a big vehicle and when he did chest compressions the man's torso just squished away from his hands—the rib cage had been pulverized.

  13. I can see the division in her mind between peers/work friends that she thinks of as family and eligible men she's actually trying out for romantic dating. If anything I think it's developing a crush on her physical therapist that kind of muddies the waters (though who knows, she might well switch to another PT now that she's expressed an interest in him).

Who would sell a bearded dragon without a habitat for it?

This is set in Texas, you can probably find people selling pet alligators and tigers without any materials for their care.

Secret wife is fair, because who does that? But I will say TK ain't blameless in his assumption that first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes Baby Owen in the baby carriage.

Yeah, the onus is no more on Carlos to reveal he doesn't want kids than on TK to talk about wanting them; I'd argue less so given that they're a gay couple for whom the natural default is remaining childless unless extraordinary measures are taken. Also, am I the only one who thinks Carlos isn't the half of the couple that should be concerned about what kind of father he'd be? Immature/impulsive recovering junkies who regularly end up in comas or targeted by murderous criminals aren't high on my list of people who should be responsible for helpless dependents. At least the flesh-burrowing first lizard could probably dig its way to freedom if it were left unattended for long.

I don't get why the philandering husband would have bothered with the saintly dog rescuer act for Marjan. That date with chaperone and her demeanor and choice of modest clothing clearly spelled out that she wasn't going to be hopping into bed with him quickly, and surely he wasn't going to fake months of a chaste romantic relationship to cheat on his wife.
