  1. When your director becomes more concerned with her own “celebrity” than what is best for the organization, it’s time to find a new director.
  2. Everything I've heard about Miranda is that she's a lovely person.
  3. Yes. That’s what “the latter” was referring to.
  4. Exactly. Brennan thought she was showing leadership in addressing the situation (which she was), and look what it got her. This organization is a joke.
  5. I liked Amy, but she was a classic "blender." And I hate to use that term because I think TPTB use it to mean "we're cutting you, but we don't have a good reason why."
  6. A few things: 1) Regarding Taylor only having to audition on the one day, a lot of the girls are unhappy that she got this special privilege. Btw, Taylor is good friends with Sam. Hmm. 2) Most of the girls think Kristin is quite strange. She's not really close with anyone. Just a very odd duck. 3) The more I think about Cassie's statement, the thing that surprises me most is that she admitted they had someone test positive. I thought for sure they would all deny that until the grave. 4) My God, this whole enterprise has truly become a shit show. They should use this as a case study in MBA programs as a textbook example of piss-poor management.
  7. Well, she lied. To me that qualifies as "more."
  8. Well, she's at least right about that part.
  9. Maybe by the time her daughter is old enough, someone with some integrity will be in charge of the DCC — someone who refuses to use the team as a platform for glorifying the untalented daughters of friends and family.
  10. Cassie is a piece of shit. I don’t trust a word that comes out of her no-lip mouth.
  11. Yes, note the “for me personally.”
  12. Truth. In the past, she has overruled the decisions of those she brings in to judge SG auditions.
  13. They seem super interested in making the overall squad more diverse this year (once they learned the girls would not be allowed on the field) but apparently didn’t think those same girls were worthy of SG. Very telling.
  14. I think such views are relatively common among the pageant community -- especially the girls who are willing to go through all the years of pageants that's typically necessary to make it to the Miss America level.
  15. I would love to see VK, once she's done being a DCC, move to a big city and just live on her own for at least a year. I think a lot of the negative qualities we perceive in her are a result of leading a sheltered life in which she's constantly praised for things that, objectively, aren't that good/important. I doubt she really knows who she is.
  16. I thought that too, but at the same time, what else is she really qualified/educated to do? I often feel like her whole life has been lived with the goal of being a DCC.
  17. I figured she would once called out on here. I heard VK was pretty massively jealous of the praise Meredith regularly got for her looks.
  18. This is exactly right. Both Kelli and CMT saw this shaping up to be a boring season, and that is why they decided to cut some vets. They know full well that vet cuts are typically the most memorable parts of a season and thus they manufactured these. It’s really disgusting but it fully shows the lengths these people will go to produce a reality show They don’t even consider the human cost of these decisions. Btw, has anyone else noticed that VK didn’t comment on Meredith’s post? Hmmm.
  19. I think a lot of vets get cut and think, "I'll just re-audition next year!" But they then get some distance from things and slowly begin to realize how much happier they are without that constant bullshit and drama in their lives, and they ultimately decide they're better off. In other words, I think the relatively small number of vets who re-audition after being cut tells us something about that work environment.
