  1. Jackie, Jr. and Adriana (Drea de Matteo) were first cousins on The Sopranos.

It bums me out that Tufo is complicit in Sap's murder as well. He had to know what Woz was going to do when he showed him the immunity papers. But I think it showed exactly what the crew was about. They're tighter than family until someone even thinks of snitching. Then all bets are off. It'll be interesting to see how (or if) his guilt plays out next week.

Didn't even think of Drea. Her role is so limited on Shades. Was she even in the last episode?

  2. I think the explosives were real, but I don't think they were rigged to explode. But still, their presence would definitely be enough to empty out a hospital.

Damn, Saperstein, I liked him (though I know the actor wasn't in the main cast so the likelihood of him sticking around was small). Woz is pure evil but Harlee's hands aren't clean of this either. I loved the scene between the two of them in the chapel. For a good bit there I was convinced that Woz was gonna let him live and explain himself. But I guess once Tufo found the immunity papers there was no chance.

The actor who plays Tufo was great again this episode too. For the most part he's just kind of been cracking jokes but he can really turn up the grief and terror when he needs to. I feared for the prostitute's life for a good second.

Miguel's a shithead but I loved him ribbing Stahl about his "crush" (it's much more than that) on Harlee.

Am I seeing things, or was freaking Jackie Aprile, Jr. the FBI dude stationed outside Sap's room? He should have taken a second to say hello to his cousin. ;)

Yes, that was Jackie Jr. Who are you referring to as his cousin?

  3. I, too, was impressed with the Owen/Riggs operating machine. They barely talked to each other and they finished each other's sentences. But Owen's unprofessional behavior towards Riggs when he's supposed to be doctoring is tiresome and childish.

I'd like to see the show framed more with Meredith's therapy sessions. I mean, I'd like for once that someone continues with therapy because they're getting something out of it. I liked her doctor (Bill Smitrovich).

Every time I see Meredith smile broadly, it almost looks phony because she doesn't seem to do that much at all.

I think I need therapy. When asked what she wanted to do, I was still hoping that Meredith would would declare that it was dance party time.

Love Richard and Arizona as pals.

Owen is boorish, but the operation with Riggs was great. Just like synchronized surgery.

  4. Yes, it's like the writers are told to watch Grey's Anatomy season by season, then "simplify" the story line even more. When they get bored, the reach back into the ER bag for ideas.

    Halsted makes a terrible McDreamy

Choi obviously has Dr Hunt's storyline

Dr I'm rich but don't nobody say nothing, is the male blend of Arizona & Callie. He has Arizona's storylines and Callie's backstory. I'll be waiting for him to lose his leg (or maybe they'll mix it up and pick another extremity)

The nurses are straight from the Nurse Hathaway days on ER. Has there been any decent portrayals of nurses since that show?

Also, just as a side note, I saw yet another doctor centric show ad during this episode for NBC. With the bland Chicago Med, the summer (?) replacement with the military related doctors in Texas and now a new show with Melissa George as what looks to be another attempt to recreate House as a female.... Exactly how many medical shows does NBC need or want on their roster?

A female Dr. House??? Will she be Dr. Home?

  5. Poor Fiona. If only there were a legal way to end a marriage so these sorts of situations don't keep happening.

There is, it's called divorce or annulment.

  6. And that mystery man is none other than Woz, the psychotic, murderous, dick-loving boss/father figure/confidante of Christina's mother Harlee. Seriously, I don't want this to be true for myriads of reasons at this point, but I don't think I trust where this show is going ultimately.

Besides, this would probably be the ONLY way that Harlee gets to live after Woz finds out she's the rat. As crazy as Woz is, surely he wouldn't want to kill his daughter's mother, would he? He clearly adores Christina and that would devastate her in ways I'm sure he wouldn't want to be responsible for.

I could see Woz being the father.  Woz was my first choice as the daddy way back when the series began and before the Miguel intro.

  7. My first thought after this episode out of the two was over was that it honestly sucked monkey balls. I have a love/hate thing going on with Chicago PD anyway. At first I wondered why they went through with killing the Father then I figured they did so because Yates knew that he was the one who dumped him in another state so I guess the thought was the viewers wouldn't be bothered that much by him dying either. I was just glad Yates died at the end so he wouldn't be around as long as Lewis was on L&O: SVU. I wish they'd bring another female onto the team besides Lindsay.

You'd think that would be Burgess if it weren't for her Ruzek ties.

  8. That was so bizarre and painfully awkward all the way around.

Leslie is starting to crack.  She made a mistake in pushing Eric talk to the journalist.   Shouldn't she have gotten Eric's parents' permission before arranging that interview at the school?

Just two words to describe Leslie - "manipulative bitch."

  9. Just wondering; what was the timeframe from the attack until her recovery and release? Anyone have any idea?

    IMO a great episode.
