  1. Just how we do it... even conversationally, we say “August 4th” or Sept 22nd. We DO say “The 4th of July” but only to name THAT day because it has THAT specific title. I rarely hear anyone talking about a date, with no significance, the way the rest of the world does it. On a lot of legal documents, we are asked to write it “on this ___ day of ____, 2018.. “ then we sign below. Official government forms are dated: Day/ Month/ year. With that said, I’m sure there ARE some Americans that choose to write and say dates the European way, so anyone who is reading this, please know, I’m generalizing, and am aware that SOME may CHOOSE to do it differently. @Silverleaf- or what @TinyHands said. Lol
  2. YES! Lol I meant 2001, not 2011. Lol!!! I have a back injury that will require surgery... pain meds...how embarrassing! But, this forum is getting me through the boredom of being in bed, so thank you all for that.
  3. It was the day after 9/11... everything looked and felt different the day after those attacks
  4. I don’t know of anyone named Cricket. It was a site that someone else found.
  5. If you’re joking, lol. If you’re looking for the message it’s on the last page of the thread, “non-show conversations” here. ?
  6. Spoiler!!! There may be fireworks!! ? I left a message just for you in the non-show convo thread!!! Xoxo
  7. Happy 4th of July to all of you! I’m so grateful to be an American (no matter how much craziness is going on now)! As Americans, we are resilient; we are a wonderful mix of cultures, shared core values, a celebration of individuals that know how to come together when it gets serious. I will never forget 9/12/01-everyone looked each other in the eye again; strangers gave each other empathetic, warm “we’ll get through this” smiles, and we celebrated our core. My wish for you all is a continued reclaiming of our core and a to enjoy a celebration of who we can be today. For our international friends today... please know that the heart of our young country is still here and I personally, would love to invite you to join a hot dog and fireworks whenever you are in my town.
  8. I don’t know why I’m not as mad about Tasha’s weight, her inability to name a cabinet member, or her lack of answer to “do you know who Sean Spicer is,” but for some crazy reason, I have a problem with Alyssa, but didn’t care one way or the other about Tasha. Don’t love her; don’t dislike her... she’s just there. Lol. I’m the reason that TV edits work, I guess. But, yes, Alyssa said, “I don’t think I’ll come back. There’s more than DCC (my paraphrase on last sentence). I really don’t know why they cut me, I think I just got overlooked.”
  9. My only thing with her was her interview after being cut. She said, “I think I just got overlooked.” Like they forgot to evaluate her? Another entitled attitude in my opinion... no self recognition of not being able to name a cowboys’ WR in her interview. As a vet, as a rookie... unacceptable. I think that moment might have given a little insight to her attitude in the locker room
  10. Great answer! I’d add... “and when I take the personal responsibility to make sure that I’m walking the walk, I will honor the uniform as much as it honors me.”
  11. CMT should get wise to the fact that WE are their true influencers (who really needs a blond in skimpy shorts?). The more they feed us, the more buzz they create for the show... they should be required to feed us 2 tidbits a week. Lol
  12. Is it just me? I’ve done my homework as a newbie and spent way too much time over the last few days reading past year’s spoilers threads. It feels like there’s not as much info/ rumor/ this year as there has been previously. Am I wrong? I mean, it’s July... is there just nothing juicy happening at the Star this year? To get things rolling here are some things to discuss, at least until things get “real.” Gina was seen slipping something into Dayton’s water bottle as she was worried about losing her spot as a K&J favorite to the beautiful legacy. This is what caused Dayton’s cut With so few 4th years, Christina was named group 1 leader. It didn’t turn out well, so they asked Jenna to return mid camp to fill in the leadership gap. (She has, afterall, had a long time to think about her role as a leader). In their etiquette class, all veterans were invited so that they could revisit lessons on how to hide a beer in a regular cup. *** don’t believe everything you read on the internet**** *** this is not factual or even speculation or rumor **** *** I originally posted in the wrong thread, moving here****
  13. I just searched, watched the intervention again on season 9... I guess I assumed her mom was prior DCC because of the Crystal connection and Breelan talking about her mom giving her tips, and her saying that she didn’t want to let her mom down... so, I’m wrong. Sorry about the misinformation!
  14. Fair enough. I’m not trying to tell anyone here what they can/ cannot or should/should not say or post. Again, not trying to start drama...
  15. I just don’t believe that Kelli or Judy would jeopardize a 20+ year relationship with Shelly to scheme for ratings of an episode or two of the show. Their ratings were fine last year... there is obvious interest this year... it doesn’t make sense personally or from a business perspective.
  16. Don’t forget Breelan. Her mom was a DCC I just binged season 1 and season 2... my cable provider isn’t on the list, but I signed in through FB for a 1 time 24 hour pass. Got both seasons in before time expired. lol. I need a life, obviously. Go ahead and judge me, because I’m right next to you on that panel.
  17. Not trying to start drama... I’m really new here... Why would anyone want to slap the face of someone offering information/ insights and behind-the-scenes facts when she clearly doesn’t have to do so? From what I’ve read here, Shelly has been an important part of this board... why tear her daughter down or try to insert drama between her and her workmates? It’s honestly a question. I get the funny, snarky, catty comments on the board, and some of it is funny. But, this stuff about Dayton just feels gratuitous to me. Not trying to offend.
  18. About Dayton... I can say, as a dance teacher and student, for me, it’s harder to know I’m being evaluated than it is to perform in front of large audiences. I get so much more “in my head” dancing in front of certain teachers than I do when the “lights are on.” With that said... here’s a young lady, probably used to being the best in the room all her life until now, being evaluated constantly by people who have watched her grow up. These are the same people that have the ability to help her make her mother proud,(By nature, performers always want to make those around them proud.) Add the pressure of expectations from those in the room- vets, other TCCs, the TV audience, all her dance coaches and teachers.... Now add the pressure of wanting to make the team and KNOWING that there are pieces of this goal that she has no control over. yikes! So last year, finals, but not training camp; this year Camp, but no team. If she really wants this for herself, next year could be her time.
  19. She was the one that quit via email in week 2. She was super cute and they liked her, but she just didn’t have enough dance experience to remember the choreo of first 2 dances. Nina, was the one with “no personality.”
