Melissa McBride joining The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon for season 2 The Daryl and Carol Walking Dead spinoff that then became just a Daryl spinoff is now becoming a Daryl and Carol spinoff again. At a New York Comic Con panel for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon(moderated by yours truly), it was announced by series star Norman Reedusthat Melissa McBride would be joining season 2 of the AMC spinoff as a series regular. The news follows McBride making a vocal cameo as Carol on this past Sunday's episode on a radio call with Daryl, where she announced that someone had "come back" although radio interference blocked the identity of who had come back. https://ew.com/tv/walking-dead-daryl-dixon-melissa-mcbride-season-2/ I'm sure she's going to get on with Laurent just fine...... cookies anyone 🍪 -

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 2 to Resume Filming Amid Actors' Strike (Exclusive) The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season 2 is set to resume production next week amid the actors' strike, ComicBook has exclusively learned. Carol breaks up on the radio, but Daryl hears that someone "came back." How important is that missing nugget of information? Well, it is important to what her ongoing story may be, and it is important in terms of what we were thinking is going on in Carol's world at that moment. It's also not what the audience expects or anticipates, if they're anticipating something. So it will ultimately prove to be surprising. But that's all based on the idea that we're going to play out that story. https://ew.com/tv/walking-dead-daryl-dixon-carol-cameo-melissa-mcbride/ -
There is the small island of the UK just off to the West there, where i'm sure the best, most polite and well behaved Walker stock would be residing 😂 It is strange as to why they're importing corpses from the US, especially considering that we've already seen various variants of the super Walker in previous episodes set in the US over several shows / seasons. The athletic Walker seen on the ship embarked from the US, so is it purely an additive which can be administered at any time, or is the effectiveness dependent upon the corpses location of death? Regarding who's come back, its obviously not someone important enough to be mentioned at the start of the conversation, Morgan and even Dwight have been mentioned. It's going to be very interesting to see how Carol manages to find herself on one of those transatlantic voyages, as long as that cute bird from The love Boat is there ill be a happy bunny 🥰

I'm glad it picked up again after last week, it was enjoyable and informative. I loved the way Ol Batista picked the only man on the planet with no sense of humour to crack his last joke to. Tattoo is becoming rather tiresome, looks like he's still after revenge in the finale. let's hope he doesn't make it into S2. The juiced up Walkers are looking good, it'll be nice to see them running around causing believable mayhem for once.

NYCC 2023: The Walking Dead Universe The Walking Dead Universe is descending upon New York Comic Con 2023. AMC announced NYCC attendees will be the first to watch The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season finale (premiering October 15th on AMC and AMC+) and will receive an exclusive first look at new scenes and teasers from the network's 2024 series, including The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, Orphan Black: Echoes, and Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire season 2. The convention, which returns to the Javits Center October 12th—October 15th, is set to host a post-season panel Q&A with Daryl Dixon showrunner David Zabel, executive producer Greg Nicotero, and TWD Universe chief content officer Scott M. Gimple. The Ones Who Live sneak peek, followed by the Daryl Dixon screening and Q&A, will take place Thursday, October 12th, from 4:15 p.m. – 6:15 p.m. ET on the Empire Stage. AMC's full lineup and schedule is below. AMC released the first footage from the retitled The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, the upcoming spin-off series reuniting Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira), during its San Diego Comic-Con panel in July. The annual confab is also where AMC announced early second season pickups for Daryl Dixon and The Walking Dead: Dead City, the New York-set spin-off following Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) into post-apocalyptic Manhattan. https://comicbook.com/tv-shows/news/new-york-comic-con-2023-the-walking-dead-daryl-dixon-rick-michonne/

S01.E04: La Dame de Fer

Well that's good to hear, although wet socks can be extremely annoying, I still don't understand though, how so many people think that driving their small family saloon into three feet of water could end in anything other than total disaster 😱 That first scene did have me wondering, until Super Walker was trying to extract Le Brat from beneath that tin sheet! -

Indeed, the force is strong in these. As I don't watch the news or read newspapers I'm usually playing catch up, i've only just seen a clip of the floods in NY, it looks positively biblical 😱 I hope you've managed to avoid the worst and you don't have a basement apartment, poor souls. -

The usual Ep4 not appearing on the AMC+ page, yet was cured quickly with repeated page refreshing as per last week. It was nice to see Bautista in a change of roles 🤔 For me it was the least liked episode so far, everything just seemed so blatantly obvious as to what was going to happen, a reminder of the worst times of TWD. Will the Villain strangle the baby? 🙄 Will the enduring barricade around the tower collapse as soon as the brat breathes on it? 🙄 Pigeon guy 🙄 Stabby guy seemed to have remarkable powers of endurance, barely a whimper was heard when he dropped down into that drain 👏 lets hope "The Nest" offers something interesting, we've got Carol coming over in the not too distant future, I hope they start exploring the whole boat across the Atlantic story soon. I enjoyed the slow, rustic start to events and I wonder if that's going to be continued, or if the pace will be picked up somewhat. Altogether I'm hoping for better next week and I thought we were seeing Daryl back on two wheels this week 🤔 -

That dining hall scene is still one of the best in cinematic history 😁

S01.E03: Paris Sera Toujours Paris

Realistically there are way too many Walkers being shown, especially after 12 years, the show has historically completely ignored the effects that nature would have made upon animated dead things, from rats that would have thrived gorging themselves upon the slow moving corpses, to flies that would have laid so many eggs that resulted in so many maggots that would have consumed so much dead flesh that the Walkers couldn't possibly maintain an upright form. I suppose it's a question as to where we as individuals draw that certain line of believability, we all have to "suck it up" and accept it at one point or another 😱 -

I absolutely loved it, if that was shown in Z Nation everyone would be saying how great it was, yet in TWD its more than likely to be classed as silly. Bravo to the new writers and producers for giving it a go, as far as I'm concerned they're definitely on the right track and I hope they're allowed to explore they're imaginations. -
