Could someone please tell me what a CB is (in reference to Erika)?

What is a CB?

I watched both versions of The Slap and it came to mind briefly. The Slap was about whether the boy deserved to be slapped at all (I think the boy was waving a bat around or something and his parents did nothing)- whereas we don't know what happened to the girl here. I wondered where the adults were - and why no one else asked that question. Instead of pointing out the culprit the teacher should have been answering questions about where she was while a child was choked.

I must confess that I only had eyes for Robert. Even after you pointed it out, it took me a few seconds to find it. :)

Yep, especially when she dodged the "how much do you earn? " question. Bull you don't remember what you make. An IT consultant making 20k? She is either lying or sucks at her job.

Her outfit didn't make sense to me. She was way overdressed IMO.

Police captains make good money, and it would not be outside the realm of possibility for them to make close to six figures. I do sense a kind of paternal affection from Renard. If he went automatically from cold bastard to gushing dad that would have been less believable to me.

There was a visible line on the child's neck. Someone choked her...I truly do not believe that Ziggy did it. I think she picked him out cuz he was the new kid. Totally agree with the rest of your post. You can tell everything about Renata's and Madeline's relationship. "She's young - like you used to be." Loved it....

Not just you, I saw that too. I thought they were flirting at first - especially considering that Jane called her beautiful. It was really odd.

Neither am I. I wish it were against TOS to talk about the book, but I guess I will deal with it. I am liking this series. It does remind me of a more serious Desperate Housewives -which I sorely miss. Reese has the spoiled rich girl attitude down pat. I am very surprised that more people did not comment on the teacher's unorthodox method of sniffing out the culprit. I think I said, "Really??!", right along with Madeline. I am sure that wouldn't be allowed anywhere. I believe Ziggy - for now. But, what was with that flashback Jane had when she woke up with Ziggy looming over her? Was that to cast doubt on Ziggy's innocence? And is Ziggy portrayed by the same kid who played MJ Delfino?
