  1. This one took me a lot longer to digest than the other previous episodes. Maybe due to the seriousness of it v. the lighthearted episodes so far. After watching it the first time it felt a little flat. The 2nd watch caught a few more things I missed the first go round and helped smooth me out. Overall, I liked this one. Dan telling David when he can see his kids is perfectly in character. Like someone mentioned up-thread, Dan doesn't take kindly to men walking out on their families. He had too much of that in his own, and he knows how it affected his mom and himself. Then he watched Crystal, Lonnie, Little Ed and Angela all go thru it as well. As wrong as he is in determining when David can see his kids, his first instinct has ALWAYS been father bear protector and that shined thru tonight. I also agree with a previous poster that mentioned they think that he said David can see them in 2 weeks because he wants to make sure he's actually going to stay in their lives. Speaking of not seeing your kids, if Harris was my kid...I wouldn't wanna be around her either. I would gladly trade in Harris not existing for more Mark. Continuity be damned. Mark's quirky, cute and odd, a perfect blend of Darlene and David. Harris is a mouthy little brat that has no likeable qualities. I can do with far less of her. "Hit it Mary!" on the other hand was all sorts of adorable. Sure, teaching your grandchildren to steal is probably not the best of choices, but it made for good comedy. At first not having the store be named Buy N Bag bugged me, but I realized we've jumped ahead 20 years. I would bet almost anything the Buy N Bag went under long ago. A LOT of smaller grocery stores have since Wal-mart Supercenters came about. "It's because their prices are so LOW!" I want to see Darlene become less of a pushover. I get she harbors some guilt for uprooting her family, and I get that she wants to tread lightly where David is concerned, however, that does not have to equate to total push over. I would have smashed Harris's face in the cake like she smashed them with her fist during the cake eating contest. I was not the biggest of Becky fans in the original go round, but I really like her this time. I find myself sympathizing with her more and more every week. I feel so bad that she went from someone that wanted to make something of her life to losing a husband, having a drinking problem, and stuck in 1998-2000's. I hope next season we see her blossom. That would be nice. I think this is going to end up being an UO, but, I didn't really care for JG's David last night. I felt almost like he was trying TOO hard to be the old David, and while it's obvious he's still the same scared insecure kid he always was, if felt forced last night. It's the same reason David bolted when life got real. 1 kid was hard, 2 is harder. His brother died. I know he and Mark weren't the closest of brothers, but they loved each other, and Mark was the only family David had left. I don't know if I buy that he's been gone so long he doesn't even know who Mark is, that I find a little stretched, but him bolting in general? Fits David's character. Estelle Parsons continues to make me thankful that Bev is not my mother, which means she's playing Bev perfectly again. LOL. While the gonorrhea thing is "ewwwww" it's actually REALLY true to life for senior living centers. STD's run rampant in senior living centers. It's gross, but like they say, if you still got it, get it! It appears that Alcoholic "Bev"rage has fallen off the wagon. I believe her going to AA and getting arrested for a DUI was prior to season 9. Jackie kills me every episode. I guess my other UO is that while she's not the more relaxed, has something going for her Jackie we all appreciated more in the earlier seasons, she isn't the Gilligan Jackie that I came to dislike in Season 8-9. Sure, she is over-acting a smidge on things, but I don't think she's THAT bad. The sickle comment, the lunging after Bev, and her facial expressions were awesome. I hope they flesh out her backstory a little more next year. I couldn't care less about Andy, but I want to see the other aspects of her life again. Before Fred, her dating was front and center for most of the earlier seasons. Return to that please. Would be great to see her get addicted to the internet again trying to find someone on "ourtime.com" LOL.
  2. Q for the Quiz Roseanne gives Jackie when Dan and Roseanne decide to leave the kids with Jackie.
  3. J for Jerry Bowman " "Uh Dan, Kathy wants to put up an electric fence" "An electric fence won't do you no good Jerry, they won't rob you again" "It's not for burglars. It's for Roseanne."
  4. I know the casket was white and that was why she said Roseanne would hate it. Is it the White Rose or White Lily or something like that? What was the name of the girl (I call her Mini-Roseanne) that DJ took to the dance in "The Blaming of the Shrew?"
  5. Am I the only one that thought that was a reference to when Jackie introduced herself to Andrea that way and Roseanne used it as an alias planning to steal the dog? I don’t think that’s a continuity error at all. That felt way too intentional.
  6. I can appreciate #1, but sincerely hope it's addressed with #2 I feel more strongly about this then I do them addressing Jerry or Andy. LOL.
  7. Good catch. I forgot about that one. In the episode Canoga Time, Darlene can't match the red ink Ms. Crane used on her report card so she can change her D to a B. Where does Darlene say Ms. Crane probably gets her red ink from?
  8. H is for Hospital, where the Conner's have frequently been. Darlene for her appendix The flashback to Roseanne having DJ Roseanne for her breast reduction Crystal when she had her babies When Harris was born When Jackie was injured on the force (it could have been a gun!) When Dan had his heartattack
  9. I don't have that sweatshirt, but other WS Champion Sweatshirts. When I see Dan in that sweatshirt it makes me wonder, like you, how he reacted. I would have LOVED to have seen that play out. I went insane being a fan for 20 years, imagine what he did being a fan probably twice as long. LOL. Nice continuity on the wardrobe's part too. He wore a Cubs cap a lot in the original series.
  10. Owner/Operator 4 Aces Construction Owner/Operator of Lanford Custom Cycle There was mention of him being an Activities Director, but I don't know that he ever actually did that Supervisor/worked for the City Worked at the prison/drywalling Got roped into flipping houses Worked part time at the Big and Tall store to pay for Roseanne's ring I think that's it? What was Ed's job?
  11. Nice Job!! I only had one different. I included her stint as a TV Talk Show Host instead of the Bike Shop. I don't remember Jackie working at the Lobo? She was the Perfume Sniper Lady at the Mall though. LOL
  12. Carrots? That’s sticking out for some reason. Ok, so not super tough, but a long one. What are all the jobs that Roseanne held throughout the show? (Hint: if my calculation is right, I counted 10 jobs that Roseanne held throughout the old series. I’m not counting her as an Uber driver. First 8 out of 10 wins.)
  13. A stretch but Y sucks. Y for the Conner's Yard, where the Mother's Day BBQ took place.
  14. I need to go read some more interviews then. Everything I have seen she says they didn't have the time to address Andy in this season, and hoped to flesh him out more if they were given another season or 2 to work with. Not that he no longer exists.
  15. Color My World by Chicago? It sounded familiar and I googled the lyrics to make sure. From the Home-Ec episode, how do we know when meatloaf is done?
  16. We'll just agree to disagree on the case of Andy then. ;0)
  17. I would hope the whole classroom barks!!! LOL! This is a really great idea though. It would be comedic gold.
  18. My husband and his mother are severely estranged. She will die alone as well, as he is her only child and he has no want to be in her life. Any kid we have wouldn't call her grandma. He doesn't call her mother. He calls her by her given name. Situations happen where parents become so estranged from their children that they are left alone (assuming they have no husband, and my mother in law doesn't, she's divorced.)
  19. I don't think DJ and Mary are in the basement. In the first episode right before dinner DJ and Mary come in thru the front door, take off their coats and come to the dinner table. Of course that doesn't mean they aren't staying there, but I don't think that he is. Furthermore, when he finds out he's not allergic to dogs, he storms out the back door. I'm assuming to his home. THIS! All of THIS! I hate that people are assuming Jackie is alone or they're pretending to ignore Andy's existence. There is so much Bev in Jackie that I find it entirely possible that Andy got sick of it, left to live with Fred and hasn't looked back.
  20. This felt very vintage Roseanne and I really did like this episode. I enjoyed Dan taking a stance. He did this every now and then (less as the seasons went on) and I always appreciated how Dan was one of the only people that could get thru to Roseanne. I agree with more drunk sister bonding. That was great. I’m really confused on the Becky is a slut backlash. Darlene used to call Becky a slut every other episode. She was always commenting about her being on her back or feet on the ceiling of cars. This is nothing new and I take it today the same way I took it with the original, Darlene being the smart ass younger sister. I don’t feel she meant it then or now. As far as the comment about Becky having a bunch of one night stands with the guys at work? It works. She lost her husband young and didn’t know how to cope. This is a very realistic road for Becky to take. The only one that didn’t sit right was the abortion comment from Jackie. I loved Becky’s fight with Roseanne. It was classic Becky, except she really wasn’t wrong this time. I noticed something Roseanne said that might elude to Andy. She said Jackie hasn’t something in a decade. Possibly referring to her not speaking to Andy in 10 years. That would have made him a teenager if he chose to go live with Fred. Also, Lecy’s voice was much less grating this episode.
  21. Just say how Mark died already! It’s driving me INSANE!!
  22. Carl? What did Bonnie confess to doing when we find out why Jackie becomes a trucker?
  23. She was 3 innings into a no hitter I agree, the questions are getting quite a bit harder, which is nice sometimes but not ALL the questions. Why does Ms. Crane call Roseanne to the school for a parent teach conference?
