Mika has zero room to say anything about any inappropriate hugging now, though, after her take on the Biden accusations. Whether or not someone is uncomfortable with the way someone else is in their personal space is subjective, and Mika outright denied the accusers’ personal experiences/personal responses with it. Now, if she tries to go after Trump for something similar, people can easily use the same argument against her and deny her experience of it — she misinterpreted the intent, or whatever. After all, there’s video of Mika flirting and running her fingers through Trump’s hair too.

I just saw that on Twitter too, and decided to dig a bit deeper. The reaction was overwhelmingly negative, from blue checked journalists and us common folk alike.

Heilmann’s wife was diagnosed with cancer a few months ago, but seems to be cancer free now. Not sure if was their reference, but it’s pretty new.

Mika is digging in deeper for Biden on her IG, saying she knows what’s “in his heart.” Leaving aside any sort of Biden judgement, what a dumb ass thing for her to say about anybody, let alone a politician she doesn’t actually intimately know, and from someone who is paid to talk politics (I guess that’s her job?). Re: threats. I think they all do, not just Joe and Mika. I forget where I read it, if I remember I’ll link in Off Topic, but there was an article recently outlining the spike in threats on media figures in recent times. It’s definitely troubling, and even more so because the issue is much bigger than just Joe and Mika.

I truly, honestly mean this in a way that is not snarky or aggressive to you, so please don’t take it as such. But. I also truly don’t give AF why they’re broadcasting remote (Most everyone deals with aging parents and the assortment of issues that go with that, they aren’t unicorns. Nor is the serial philanderer a unicorn in balancing his life with his kids from his exes — By the way, didn’t he announce on IG one went to one of the NE boarding schools, so at least one of the youngest isn’t in Florida full time?). It’s totally, completely unprofessional and the network needs to be asked a number of questions regarding these two (beyond the remote access...). I wouldn’t be surprised if the rumors are true and they’re looking at replacements. ETA and I know that makes me petty as hell, but... real world.

That was actually one of the strangest stories about the 2018 election, at least to me. When Missouri voters voted directly on policy (on the same ballot) they were overwhelmingly in support of progressive policy. In her post-career postmortems, a lot of time was spent on the “malpractice of her campaign” on being so disparaging on the progressive issues her constituents actually widely supported. It’s some pretty interesting reading, if you’re into that sort of thing, and really made me rethink some of the preconceived notions I had (and Morning Joe has) about middle of the country Dems. ETA MJ not bothering to touch on this topic in any sort of real depth, however, is so perfectly emblematic of all the shows issues: cronyism and “Friend of the Show” protection at the intersection of their Beltway blinders.

I guess, since anything is possible. Lol. In the same way it’s just as possible Mika was sleeping with Donny when he gifted her heels on air and that’s what caused her marital rift. (I’m being facetious)

Right? He engages every time, and then spends weeks saying how nothing he says matters to them. It’s like Mika saying the facelift Tweet doesn’t bother her... two years later as she is rereleasing a book to talk about the facelift Tweet.

I followed this whole thing in real time. Early on, someone comments not to worry about JPod because he’d get a good Morning Joe rehab time spot. And here it is... Joe and Mika are friends with terrible people. That can’t be pointed out enough.
