Dorothy and Sophia not thinking menopause was admittedly out of character for them, but I can sort of see the other side, too. Now, granted, she may more than likely have had "help" to do so, but look at Janet Jackson, who just had a baby at 50. Is it common? No, but it does happen.

And since the show was always so fluid (to put it kindly) about the ages of the girls, I can see where a pregnancy scare late in life would be deemed an option, albeit a remote one!

Adrienne Barbeau, an actress, had twins at 51. It was 1997. I just love this episode because of the great lines.

  2. I loved Lithgow on 3rd Rock from the Sun so I thought I'd give it a chance. I really like it. I agree that while Sherri is annoying as a person, she is a decent actress.  I live in Eastern NC, and the Southern jokes are funny. My area has a taxidermy shop and a tobacco company. lol

UO: Yes, he's wooden and hardly the best actor on the show, but Josh Morrow is a very hot man who has aged into his features. He is hotter at 40 than he was at 20.

He always looked like a caveman who would drag a woman by her hair to a cave. I also like the monkey comparison on here. Maybe my dislike for the Newmans influences this.

  4. I love oldies music so I would've been happy for Sedaka or Diamond. This episode made me realize Phil is an only child while the rest of the characters have siblings. I did enjoy his story about having an imaginary brother and how he liked the imaginary brother better than Ray.

I just saw the last BUB and it seems Jedson and Judson lit a fire in the family's huge communal closet/linen room,/laundry room. The fire department came and the next day, a fire restoration company came and hauled away 70 Hefty bags of clothing for cleaning! Now the family is living in a hotel. The show was fascinating for me because it was not scripted, just obviously reenacted.

They were lucky no one was hurt. From what I understand, the parents were gone so the older siblings were in charge. I like the Bates better than the Duggars, but these Gothard families' tendencies to let the older ones mind the younger ones for long periods of time sucks.

I too think Michael expected to be pregnant by now. But my understanding was that they were waiting and seeing for now. They've only just celebrated their first anniversary and most doctors will tell you to wait a year before looking into problems or other methods of conceiving. They are both young and healthy, she didn't say anything about problems like Erin's, so my guess is that they've probably hit the doctor's office by now.

Of all the girls in this fundy crowd it's Michael I can see as a great adoptive parent. She's very loving and obviously wants children in her life. Her marriage is stable and he has a decent job.

They were married in August 2015. I remember because a cousin got married around the same time.

To be fair, he's had his own daughter and one of his sons arrested too.

EB's ego will never allow for the redemption this character needs. He's been completely off the wall abusive to everyone since about the time of that Senate story. And not even just that: his intelligence took a nosedive as well. The Patty mess is one example--how the hell did he expect to control a mentally unstable woman? For that matter, what exactly was the point of dragging her back into Jack's life?  To kill him? A hit man would've been far cheaper and efficient.

Now,Neil's insanity was all kinds of WTF for the type of Moral Mary character he's usually been, but that was still only one instance. Victor's had years of such behavior, and it'd be nice to address some of those elephants in the tiny studio apartment.

Other soap villains have had times when they reflected on their past deeds and apologized. They'll go back to being bad again, but remorse can add to their storylines. I think EB thinks Victor's misdeeds make him look like a cool bad ass, but it's just making him more repulsive.
