    Better than her knee torn in four places, the toe looks like a plump, juicy opportunity. Money must be getting tight after the wild Nashville spending spree and the $30 spent on cheap pizza and one ride in an amusement park for the kids. Love offerings and a chance to sit and be waited on in Florida might be looking attractive to Jillybean. 

    Then JillR is just like Carlin Bates with a major toe injury, lol.

One thing I've noticed is that Katie doesn't seem to be pining for her family as much as she was before Hailey's birth. Hopefully the more she distances herself, the less pressure she'll feel to pop out a litter. 

    I think if Katie lived around KJ & Gil there would be  a lot of pressure to “leave # of kids to God”.

    C&E haven’t mentioned potty training in a while so who knows. It does look like Layla has a diaper or pull up on in some of their posts. It seems like they are just ignoring it and are relying on Layla to just train herself??? Carlin already did the SM posts asking for “advice” but I guess no one volunteered to take care of it.

    She’s responding to posts on James’ Instagram tribute to Boob. She was very active in defending all things Duggar. And it looked like most of the posts were critical of James glorifying Boob and not taking Jill’s side in the Boob v. Dillards drama. Hilaria kept referencing the fact that SHE knew the Duggars and no one posting knew anything. She was on a roll, James must be her new boy toy.

    Since all the Paine kids are homeschooled the siblings are really the only kids they know or interact with. Sure there might be a cousin visiting occasionally or sweet church friends. But I think Carson and new brother will be close just because there aren’t many other options. Pretty soon the Paine girls will be busy doing girl things, ie learning to be moms and no way Carson will be part of that.

    It was shocking how KJ acted at Katie’s shower. It’s always all about her and her crying how much they were going to miss Katie was ridiculous. @cereality excellent description of the difference between the way the Bates treat their kids and how the Clark’s do. Based on what we’ve seen of Evan’s family, it seems to be true of them and Carlin.

    Yeah, whether it’s a lease car paid by BSB or Z&W, it’s still cash paid out. Even if they try to write off as business expenses (which this vehicle really isn’t) it’s still cash out of pocket. Not very savvy unless BSB is very profitable. Tax write offs only help if there’s income to offset. I imagine the profit margins are pretty slim but I doubt any of them actually know this.

    I think we speculated that the anniversary trip or baby moon or whatever trips they took, were gifted by her father. The trip to Israel seemed to be a church related trip so Boob may have partially funded that, a bunch of kids were baptized, including at least one M kid. But in reality we don’t know. It just seems like a lot of vacations for people with the kind of jobs the Duggars have. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

    I get all this - and I read what you posted above. But, and I say this with genuine respect, since I completely understand how frustrating/wrong this whole tax-write off sounds: I think you and that post are asking/answering the wrong tax question.

    Yes, Jed! isn't a travel blogger, or claiming to be one. But he's also not producing a travel blog - he's producing a video, aka a short film. So this wouldn't be a write-off for expenses incurred as an influencer, but for expenses incurred from producing a short film. He is legally allowed to expense the costs of producing/creating that video/film as long as that video/film earned income for himself or a business that he owns.

    So the questions are:

    1. Did the video make taxable income for Jed!  (Given the 61K following, yes.)

    2. Did Jed! have to travel to make that video?  (Since he doesn't live in Hawai'i, yes.)

    3. Did Jed! participate in activities that earned taxable income during this vacation?  (Again, since he filmed a video that currently has 42K views on YouTube, yes.)

    So they wouldn't be writing off vacation travel expenses. They would be writing off travel expenses incurred as a result of producing a video that earned reportable taxable income from YouTube - the same way a singer/songwriter who headed to Hawai'i to film/record a song to put up on YouTube for taxable income could, or, for that matter, the same way Universal did - on a much larger scale - when they headed to Hawai'i to film Jurassic Park. 

    It's a subtle difference, but a very real one. 

    I do think that the IRS might ask a few questions if Jed! constantly reports the YouTube income as a loss, but as long as he reports some sort of income/profit, I think he'll be fine. Especially since any tax savings wouldn't cover the cost of these trips - just make them more affordable.

    Also the IRS can’t investigate every tax return and there are people who are less than 100% honest or interpret tax rules very loosely.

    Is a movie made in the 1980’s about a kid in the 1940’s really history? But JillyBean just loves history even if the movie does have bad words in it. Hard to believe BME and Dave had some free time since we know how hard working they are, lol. Those two have more free time than most retired people. As far as homeschooling, who knows what’s happening. We haven’t seen the infamous workbooks in quite a while. Is Sammers graduating or does he have another year left?

    Back when Layla was a baby there were many pictures showing her shirt riding up. My guess is Carlin thinks it’s cute and people probably comment on SM about how sweet it is.
