As a medical resident, panic attacks are a real thing and are really debilitating (and frequently send people to the ER). If she had a true panic attack, she would not be able to just keep dancing, so I'd give her a pass for that. Criticizing her for messing up is fair, but I don't think we should be praising Hannah for being so forthright about her depression, while criticizing others for having anxiety.

I had WAY too much time on my hands, and I re-watched Season 11 and transcribed all of the confessionals, judges/coaches commentary, and other assorted details. @JohnGalt you mentioned both Tara and Savannah were called into the office during training camp. Did any other veterans get called in during training camp this year? Thanks!

I wasn't a huge fan of Madeline M's look last year, but I think she looks great this year!

Just did the math, and I think that means that both Maddie and Jinelle are retiring, unless someone we had previously assumed is coming back is actually retiring.

One thing I noticed when I rewatched this season was that in one of Selina's office visits, either K or J said something along the lines that they fought for her at the auditions. Which probably means two things: 1) K/J do like Selina 2) She was probably one of the lowest scoring returning vets last year

I disagree, just because if that were the case, you would have more retirees, and not so many veterans seemingly returning to re-audition for next season. Milan is the only departure that raised my eyebrow. Alexandria leaving probably has more to do with her own situation than anything with the team, and Kalyssa was all about promoting Kalyssa from the start. If anything, I think this all is mostly a fluke, but I could be wrong. They just need to do better about vetting people in the future.

Say what you will about the Minchews, but at least they had the decency to quit before the team was announced.

In Savannah's defense, I did just look at the comments, and she posted "Thank you for such an inspiring and positive dance environment every week ??❤️?", so it doesn't sound like this is her first prep class.

Savannah is one of my absolute favorites in terms of looks and seems like an all-around good person, but IMO she needs to bring her A-game if she wants to survive finals. I think in a year with a lot of retirees, she might be in better shape. But with it looking like there aren't going to be too many retirees this season, K+J will be looking to cut some veterans to make space for extra TCC's. Glad to see she's putting in the work, though! Same! I was just rewatching Season 12, and Kelli specifically name drops Heather H as being one of the best rookies in one episode, and then she's promptly cut out of nowhere in the next episode. The only mistake they showed was one kick in the wrong direction at the start of the kick line. I bet K+J have to regret that one.

It'll be interesting to see who gets ROTY this year. Maybe Lauren?

It looks like Kalyssa has never been a big poster (only 10 tweets, plus she also liked a tweet in early December), so I could see this just being her not having any interest in using her official twitter. I am curious if there are any posting requirement for the official twitters. Like I imagine they want you to make some posts, but would they actually hold it against a cheerleader for not posting enough?

I just listened to the podcast, and it sounds like both Keyra and Selina are planning on reauditioning next year. Keyra doesn't shock me, but I was kind of surprised about Selina, due to her busy teaching job.

I like the podcast, but my only suggestion would be to maybe have cheerleaders who are close friends on the podcast together (depending their schedules, obviously). Because right now, sometimes it feels like the two guests are doing separate interviews. It would have been fun to see, for instance, Heather O and Tess or Tara and Savannah interacting, and might allow them to feel more comfortable and let their personalities shine through more.
