I agree with all of you about the dance segment. My heart sank when I saw the special guest was a DJ. Not my cup of tea on music selection and I couldn't see the costumes because of the strobe lights. Oh well, I'm happy with Rashaad winning. I pegged him to win early on. I kind of wanted Tyler to win because the past few eps I developed a little tv crush on him. His smile lights up the room! Anyway, waiting impatiently for the next season!!

I just saw a commercial for some kind of hawaiian bread. The family is sitting down to dinner, someone puts a basket of rolls on the table, and one by one the family sucks the roll into their mouth like a hoover. What planet are these people from? The other thing that makes me go "HUH?" is the husband/father commenting about the neighbor parking in front of the house. "Our house, our spot. That's the RULE." Number 1, unless he's blocking your driveway, he can park there. Number 2, the whole premise of this ad is to sell freaking hawaiian rolls... don't be a dick to your neighbor especially since it has nothing to do with selling bread.

You're making my head hurt! I never even thought about the actual product which I guess didnt work as the company intended. Another annoying ad I've been thinking about is one that comes on a lot during the day. A Boston dentist advertises itself as kid-oriented. It starts off with an animated coloring book style with a mom, son, and daughter and a little girl doing the voice over. "My mommy thaid one day we had to go to the dentitht! Thee called (name of practice) and we got to thee them the very thame day!" The makers of this ad probably thought this girl's voice was the most precious thing they've heard all day. More like rage inducing. Now its all about sound here so unless some other kind folks from the same area have seen this abomination and can find a clip, I'm afraid you'll have to make do with my description. The backround music sounds like they used something like the casio keyboard I had as a kid. If that didn't sound bad enough, the girl's mouth is superimposed with a real person's mouth.

Since I've posted, I have seen the one with the marionette son at least twice. Oddly, it doesn't upset me as much as the one with the girlfriend/wife. Either way, bad parenting even having a ceiling fan that could interfere with the strings of your loved one(s). Which brings me to another ponder... is the actor who plays the "human" the same one for both ads? Is the marionette woman the mother of the marionette child? And as bilgistic pointed out, where's the dad/husband maroinette?I'm giving this way too much thought.

The marionette one really made me angry after the initial WTF at first viewing. How come there's no outrage about this?

His comments would be rather biting, wouldn't you say? Back on topic - there are a couple of AmEx commercials featuring Tina Fey. One has her daughter giving her a yogurt facial and she goes to the store to get more with some still in her hair. Then the licks it off when the cashier notices it. (It sounds so much worse typed out like that.) Gross!

Whatever song TPTB used for the Devious Maids promos sets my teeth on edge. That saxophone tempo grates.

That tongue on Niko's vamp! Oh dear me, that was awful. It looked like the character was shot in the face with a sawed off shotgun and that was what remained. The least he could do was put a wire in it or something to make it look a little bit life like. I wanted to like Tyler's creature, I really did. If he had one more day, the wings he had planned would have been amazing to see. George did alright as well. I understand his logic on keeping the sausage fingers, though he could have slapped some sharp fingernails on the model's real nails and gotten much more positive reception from the judges. Rashaad's vamp blew me away. I liked the different color pallate he used. My prediction is that Rashaad will win the whole thing. I'm excited to see what part two will bring! Preferably Niko finally getting tossed.

I was so glad to see Chloe finally off my tv during this episode. It seems like whenever she feels out of her comfort zone, she flounders, comes up with some half-ass idea, and overcomplicates it by spending too much time on one element.

Hey all, I was a lurker on TWoP for years. I had to post about the justfab.com ads that drive me nuts and I hadn't seen anyone talk about it yet! I always hated the way the women scream over the price of shoes, however, I just saw a new one with a twerkin' grandma. I couldn't look away! She did do a hell of a better job than Miley though!
